LOVE LOVE LOVE Melissa. I had been to 2 other lash places before this (lashes del sol and kist by mist) and Melissa was by FAR the best. I had issues with the first place I went to (lashes del sol) my lashes on my left eye looked noticeably less full than the lashes on my right eye, and the second place (kist by mist), even though she tried the best she could to fix the first job, still wasn't that great, and I kept losing so many lashes! One of my close friends recommended Melissa, as she saw her the week before, so I booked my appointment right away.. and this was the first time I actually fell asleep while someone doing my lashes. The experience is so relaxing, and I am one of those people that can never sleep easily, let alone someone doing my lashes... My lashes looked awesome after Melissa was done... and I barely lost any lashes for the (almost) 2 weeks that I've had them. I've never had someone "cure" my lashes and honestly, it works... So, I had my first lash extensions applied at another place in Tucson that also had great reviews. Immediately afterwards I noticed some things about the lashes that didn't look right but bc I was new to the process so I thought they might even out or settle some. Well WRONG! They continued to bug me more and more so I went back one week later and the same lady made some corrections and hopefully fixed the issues. Wrong again. All day long I was having to readjust them and worry that they looked wonky. This brings me to contacting Melissa. A friend who happens to be a gorgeous beauty queen recommended Melissa and I made the first appointment I could. At this point I was 3 weeks post the old application and my lashes looked like sh$%. They were every which way, poking me in the eye, catching on bottom lashes and just looked clumpy and some were even glued to my lid!!! Melissa could tell right away what was wrong and dove in to fix them. After she was done she showed me the old lashes and how they were mis-applied. They were too long, too heavy, too clumpy and placed on crooked. I didn't have the burning eyes afterwards like I did after the other place either, I also could tell they looked more natural, but still dramatic, lush and beautiful! I came to At Lash Studio with high expectations due to its Yelp reviews. My first visit was incredible. Melissa was friendly and a great listener. The lashes were a bit long for my taste, but that was something i could get used to. As soon as i left the studio, a couple of lashes fell off. I thought maybe it was normal since they were "fresh." I followed all of her care recommendations (washing, brushing, no waterproof or oil-base eye products, hot yoga or swimming. I even didn't wash my hair for 6days!!) Within 1 week of placement, the lashes on one eye were about 40-50% off. I was leaving for a trip overseas. So couldnt be seen. One week later, I made an appointment online. The soonest available was 2weeks out. So i took it. When i came to the studio for my appointment, it turned out that for some reason my appointment "never went through." I had been looking forward to this appointment. My lashes were NOT looking good, and couldn't wait to have them taken care of. When I realized i was not going to be seen, my spirits, honestly, went down. I understood it was probably an online glitch, so no big deal. But what discouraged me the most was the fact that I was not offered an appointment anytime soon. Melissa "referred me" to a friend of hers that owns another lash studio. I felt so disregarded and disrespected. Not only for the poor placement of my lashes, but also for her willingness to dispose of an unsatisfied customer like that. I am a medical professional and I understand the importance of continuity of care. I was content, but not blown away. Since it was my first set I opted to go "natural". I was a bit disappointed I did not get one single compliment. So when it was time for my fill, I made sure I went with Melissa. Unfortunately, since I didn't take good care of my lashes ( don't use cotton balls to take off your make up) I didn't have very many extensions left so I was charged for a partial set and not a fill.
