I'm not changing my review. I just want to add that there are never any employees on the floor to help you. I continue to go back because they do have some really fun items to look at, but if you want to purchase anything that is heavy or you need assistance with good luck, finding someone to help. WOAH WOAH WOAH. How had I never been to an At Home store before yesterday?? I'm not entirely sure but in some ways it's a good thing because I would have spent way too much time of my youth going up and down their aisles. So, yesterday I was next door at Duluth stocking up on some hot new overalls and decided to pop in to At Home because I need a few new garden decor thingys to replace some stuff that (after nearly a decade!) I've had to retire. 3 hours later I left with a cart full of garden gnomes, plant stands, a new patio umbrella, a small outdoor mat, and metal garden stakes. I also walked every aisle, and made mental notes to return for some organizing things once I have my office redo finished. The price points feel a little steep for some of the items, and they didn't have particularly deep markdowns but i'd say the prices are about on par, if not a bit less than, Homegoods. But the sheer volume of options they carry makes up for it. When I walked in I said "Oh my God" because the store is HUGE. They easily had 8 rows of just lawn figurines and the aforementioned metal signs. I said to my mom, "it's not just that they have a lot of stuff they have a lot of variety in each item of stuff." So, not just a handful of patio cushions but multiple rows dedicated to several different styles and patterns. At least 4 aisles of just REALLY BIG planter pots. Halloween and Christmas already had a bit of a showing and honestly, I wasn't even mad because the place is so huge it just feels like they should keep those displays up all the time because they've got the space for it. Now that I've gotten my bearings I don't think i'll need quite as many hours to visit (i don't think I'll need another walk through the picture frames or oversized candelabras anytime soon) but who knows. Plan to spend more time than you thought when you visit here. Even someone like me who lives in a filled up 1100 square foot apartment still find too many things I "need". With my rule "1 thing in, 1 thing out" rule, Goodwill loves it when I do come here. I will say I didn't find the king size quilt I was looking for, but I am being picky and out of the current style in my choice. But I found the chair I had given up finding. Picked up a lamp I had seen at the spiritual place I go. And a few other small things as I walked the store. If you have to fill a place from scratch, this is the place to go. Very much like a warehouse than a regular store, the prices are better. After seeing what Home Goods was like, I will just stick with this place. read more

I think this was my first visit to an AtHome store - the closest one to me is either by Oakland Mall or the one on Telegraph, and I haven't been to either. We were here specifically because my boyfriend and his mom had bought a Dearfoam body pillow for the couch and he wanted to buy more of them - they were about $18-19 each. We found the pillows and bought two more. My boyfriend also got some Christmas clip-on ornaments for his parents and I bought a Stuckey's pecan roll I saw near checkout - I hadn't seen those anywhere before and I'll be writing about them for work soon. Overall this was a nice store and we are planning on coming back soon to get a Dutch oven - the AtHome brand ones started at $29.99 which isn't a bad price. read more

I have never been inside a At Home store before, so I was kinda excited to see a new store I haven't seen before, and this one is worth the trip. The store is so huge, think of a size of WalMart, it's that's big. But all it has is home decor, so it's filled with stuff you will want to buy for your house. The only reason why this place loses a star is because of the employees, or lack of. I was in this store for 20 mins and there was not a single employee on the sales floor. Now maybe they had them all up at the register, but on a Sunday, it's busy, they should have some out there helping guests. I will be back here for the Christmas season, as it looks like they will have a lot holiday decor. read more

Do you ever watch these house flipping shows on HGTV? This store reminds me of a store where they would buy all the crap needed to stage a house.. Save real furniture they have everything you can think of in here! I came in with a purpose.., I needed itty bitty Christmas balls for the tiniest cutest tree I just bought.. and some little baby hooks to go with said ornaments. Since I was in the area I figured this mammoth warehouse was a solid option for what I needed. The Christmas section was pretty large and they had everything from trees to those moving yard decorations, table center pieces, runners, stockings, ornaments and tons more. But, on 11/26 many of the shelves were already bare-ish. Since I was in a hurry I did not traipse through the whole store, I went to the section I needed and I left. They have many cute things from what I could tell. If you come here specifically for Christmas things it may be a good idea to find out on what day their truck comes in, especially if you are traveling from far to come here to avoid disappointment. read more

This place is crazy! Looking for patio seat cushions? They have every color you could want. Planters? Any size you need. They have wall art from small to huge and anything else you could want or need to decorate on the cheap. Rugs and runners, lamps and candle holders, nightstands, tables, chairs of all kinds hate for you to peruse. Do you need to stock a kitchen with equipment? You'll do well to stop here first. Prices are very competitive to anything online and the quality looked comparable to a Wayfair or Overstock. read more

I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed when I first walked into this store. It's H U G E. The shelves are a mix of Costco metal warehouse shelving and regular store shelving. Everything for your home furnishings, you can find here. There were about five aisles of just lamp shades and lamps. Massive sections of pillows, mirrors, art work. I was looking for two lampshades, one for an Eiffel Tower lamp and one for a fire extinguisher lamp that my husband has. I found both for a total of $25 and was really happy with the price. I would have wandered the store for a longer period of time, but we had other errands to run and I didn't have time. I'll be back when I have more time to wander around. The checkout line is a trap, just keep walking past all of the items they have stocked there! read more

I was really excited when the store opened it, but I have found it to be pretty disappointing. The selection, however, is pretty vast, So if you're looking for something particular you will probably find it here. Just not the best quality or price. The isles are also very narrow and usually cluttered with things. It's very hard to shop while using a cart. I had signed up for a perks earlier this week because I knew I would be looking for bigger items this weekend. When I got to the store, I had no Internet connection so I couldn't access my coupon. I asked if I could bring my receipt back later with the coupon and they told me I could, but I'd have to bring all of my items back as well. I had very large items, almost too big to fit in my car. I understand them and not being able to give me the 10% off without seeing the coupon, but to make me bring everything back, not just the receipt, that just seems like poor customer service. The cashier was very nice, but the manager was absolutely useless. I'm just not impressed with this store at all. If they want to compete with stores like bed Bath and beyond, they need to step up the customer service and quality of their products. read more

Best place I've seen for a VAST selection of holiday decor. Stuff of the same caliber I've seen at Kirkland's, for 1/2 the price. Good place for year around decor. Store is overwhelming and no staff to be found anywhere. After searching for assistance for over an hour, finally found someone who advised they don't keep stock and I'd have to just look on my own. Their website said they had multiple of the item in stock, but they refused to help locate it. Called the front of the store for assistance and they do not answer the phone. Don't waste your time here, make the extra trip to the Bloomfield Hills location where they are present and helpful. read more

This review would've had five stars if it wasn't for my cashier Danielle. I was waiting in line and she called me up and when I approached the cash register she started ringing up my purchases WHILE chatting it up with another employee named Amber. Both completely acted as if I was not there. I didn't get a, " hello how are you?, did you find everything all right?" I received no form of acknowledgement. It's not like I wanted her to roll the red carpet out for me- just don't treat me like I am invisible and don't matter! She was also not paying attention to what she was ringing up- because my total was $102..... I stopped her right then and there and asked her politely to check that again..... my Total ended up being $51..... this woman almost had me paying double i'll because she was not paying attention to not only the customer but to what she was supposed to be doing- HER JOB! read more

My bar chairs from Kmart (from college) were buckling down, so it was time to get new ones. "At Home" had a BOGO 50% off kitchen chairs promo, so naturally I explored a sale that was better than wayfair's pricing. The store is organized. Floors are polished and warehouse lights are bright. Just think of Home Goods... on steroids. A menards version of Home Goods. The variety of home decor is overwhelming and that is honestly their only selling point. What they lack in service they make up in inventory. You can run down aisle after aisle and you'll be lucky to find someone who actually works there! Okay, let me give you a little bit of context. I went on day with a 6 month old. After finding the perfect chair style I was ready to purchase six. The chairs were pretty heavy so I needed an extra hand. After cruising around the store for a few minutes to find someone (and wait for my turn because other people needed assistance as well), a friendly face helped me load the chairs onto a wheel cart and walked me to the registers. The store was pretty crowded and I patiently waited for my turn. The gentleman who helped me waited for me to be helped at the register and after I paid, he was no where to be found! The cashier saw that I had a baby, and didn't call someone to help me to my car despite me asking for help. Did you want me to push a full cart AND pull a wheel cart too? The cashier practically brushed me off. Even though I was told help was going to come, I waited long enough to know that I was forgotten or it was said so I could no longer be something she needed to worry about. So I had to leave my baby in the car, pull the cart myself and hauled the heavy metal chairs in my Camry. (Which by the way.... thank you Toyota, 12 years of driving this car and it hasn't let me down yet). I fit all 6 chairs in my car by myself. So yeah. This place has a lot of knick knacks to beautify your home. But I advise you to go with a support system or you may NEVER get your purchase HOME. read more

Great value at this store. I always find items that I didn't know that I needed, new pillows for the couch, new cushions for the patio, etc. there is always something different each time you visit. The worst store I have been in as far as quality of merchandise, cheap imports, dangerous fumes from cheap glue and paint the products are made from, horrid patterns in all departments. Cheap-Cheap-Cheap and not in a good way! If you have a breathing problem or children don't even enter this store. They need an air quality check by the State of Michigan. Aisles and aisles of junk to clutter your house with, furniture, rugs are the lowest grade products I have ever seen. I have no idea how these imports even got into the United States. So sad we do not have better import regulations. read more

This is gonna make me sound like a fucking Karen but seriously if I could leave zero stars I would. My mother and I bought two 90 dollar lawn chairs from this place and were told that we could pull up to the curb to load it as it was POURING RAIN outside. The chairs would not fit without taking the cover off the truck bed. While we were figuring this out an EXTREMELY rude ass woman in her early 60's (probably going through menopause by the way she was acting) decided to come tell us that we had to move while trying to fit our shit in our car in the pouring rain, we asked for help taking off the cover and she said that "wasn't allowed" even though another customer had assistance taking her mirror to the car not even five minutes before. I let her know in an admittedly irritated tone that we would get out of the way. Not even a minute later she comes up and and "suggested" that we take the cover off after that's what we had JUST asked for help with???? At that point I straight up told her to stop talking to us and that we would be leaving shortly. Everyone else in the store was extremely friendly, especially the girl that checked us out. Don't know what crawled up the old ladies ass but her husbands probably cheating on her so i'll give her a pass. Don't shop here bro. read more

I was very surprised today. I have not been in the Novi store for some time. A year ago it looked great. Now, merchandise laying on the floor, everything, and I mean everything is damaged. The Wixom location is mismanaged. Twice I had someone drive out to the store to pickup my large item order and twice he came home without my stuff. The first time, I was told over the phone that even though my credit card was preauthorized during my online order, I would have to show it in person. There is no warning before you place an online order. I assumed that my item was already paid for. Due to the pandemic, I sent someone to pick up my order with the intention of no contact being necessary. The second time, I had my card and rode with the person helping me. I arrived at 6:15 pm because google said the store was open until 7 pm. It turns out the store closed at 6. I texted to the number given in the email for pickup. No one answered so I drove home a second time with no items. I called the next day asking if the manager saw my text saying I had showed up for my items and she said she had "no idea" because she didn't work that morning. I said "shouldn't someone have followed up with me if they saw that. Customer showed up and did not get their items." She said she wasn't sure. She doesn't manage the pickup texting number. I asked if they would ship the items to me for free for All the trouble and she said no because it is a 3rd party company. She could have given me a discount on the items in the amount of the shipping. In any rate, do not do an online order if you want a fast pickup solution. They will still require that you run your card in person, which I was told involves handing your card to someone who then runs it inside the building. This does not sound safe or secure at all. Plus if you text to let them know you are there, you won't know if someone even gets your texts because it's not clear if Anyone checks the messages. What a joke! read more

I've been here 7 times since they opened. Each and every time, I get Sybil Service. While one employee is kind and helpful, the next one is so rude and condescending you'd think you'd committed a crime. Today was no exception, and I've had it. My daughter & I purchased 2 $90 lawn loungers and a table. We loaded them on the cart ourselves and checked out with a very nice cashier who told us to pull up under awning and she would get help for us, as a rain storm had just started, coming down in buckets. We thanked her, said we'd try on our own and ask for help if needed. We waited for the person before us receiving employee help to pull away from the same spot I pulled up to as told. The chairs wouldn't fit in the back without taking truck bed covers off. Just then an employee comes out to start yelling at us to move, telling us we shouldn't be parked there. I asked her for employee help getting cover off as my legs are bad, the rain was still coming down and my daughter has never done it before. (which I explained to her) She sneered at me, "we can't do that here." What??? Several before me got help in the very same spot I was told to park in. She came back out barking again. "You know if you take the cover off your truck bed, they'd fit in there and you could get out of everyone's way." Ummm, am I on crack here? Didn't I just say I needed help with that very thing. Right then my daughter jumped in and figured it out, as the unhelpful wench continued to micromanage new rules at us, until we finally got out of there. This has been my typical experience with the employees EVERY TIME. Love the store selection, but not the borderline personality experience of employees. So if your up for an experience of this is ok, no it's not, you can use this, no you can't, we will help you, no we won't, you can be here, no you can't, being treated well one minute and then like a leper the next.
