I put a down payment on a sectional and when I went to pay the remaining balance the sectional significantly dropped in price. Dan Michaels basically refused to honor the new price. He treated me like I was lying about the clearly marked sale price. After he argued with me about the price until I showed him a picture of the tag on my phone. He then walked over to verify the price, then proceeded to triple check on the computer!!!!!!! I have never been treated so horribly over paying the cost of an item clearly priced in a store. As I was leaving I took a picture and a short video of the price tag and Dan threatened to call the police on me and said he would be canceling my order if I posted a bad review! My order was cancelled prior to this review being posted.

They met with her on an afternoon in March and Shilpa was so patient and professional as they tried to decide what they wanted. She let them have space to talk, she helped them measure, she showed them many options. She even stayed past her time to go home to make sure they felt comfortable in their decision making process. In the end they couldn't make a decision that night and Shilpa was so understanding and made them feel like they could call her with questions. Thank you again Barb VenHorst

We were charged 35% of the original amount!! We called explaining the set up was wrongly made at the store, no one cared. Their financing partner Synchrony bank took zero responsibility too. False advertisement, predatory behavior!!!

She charged the sectional purchase to a "test account" and needed to charge our credit card again. What? Does this make any sense? Are you confused? Yes. So were we. Sound odd? Fishy? Lack confidence in purchasing? After we canceled the order and demanded our credit card be refunded we left. The whole situation just seems ODD. How do you miss a lay-up? We were a set sale. Sounds like we dodged a big bullet. That sectional would've never even been delivered to our home, most likely. Maybe we would've been double charged? Who knows? These questions will never be answered. Thank God! And when we asked to speak to the manager and then requested her biz card, she gave us the sales associates card that botched the sale. Hmmmm. (Our credit card WAS refunded so we did get our money back!) Go somewhere else!

Over 2 months later (last week) I received a call that my chairs had arrived and they were ready to be picked up. I drove up to the store (50 minutes) to pick up the chairs, the hours online state that they are open until 8pm. When I arrived at 6:30 pm the store was closed and the hours posted on the window stated they closed at 6pm. The first issue is that they need to update their business hours online. A few days later I then made the trip to the store to get the chairs, upon arrival and inspection of the chairs it was very clear that the color of the chair legs was wrong (see picture). After waiting nearly 3 months the order was 50% wrong, these chairs were over $2,000 dollars. After speaking with James the sales rep the solutions we were offered were to receive a refund, use the wrong chairs (rent) while they remake them correctly (another 2/3months), or have somebody stain the legs in house (LOL). During the phone conversation James told my girlfriend to "be quiet", which is down right rude. We have repeatedly asked for the owner/manager to contact us but have had no luck. I unsure if the owner is okay with James talking to clients/customers this way, if he/they are then that tells you all you need to know. At this point we have repeatedly asked for the owner to contact us/work with us and that has not been arranged. If the owner wants to reach out to me I would love to continue working with this company as we have ordered items in the past. We do not want to work with someone, James, who told us to be quiet.

I really love Thomasville furniture - I think the pieces are very well made and designed to last…read more Their furniture includes very classic lines with modern hints, which is just the kind of style I gravitate toward. Unfortunately, they tend toward stained pieces, while I sometimes prefer painted, so it's not always my go-to furniture shop. They did, however, add a Color Cafe series of tables and chairs that allows you to customize every detail, down to table legs and color. Now that is something I can appreciate. This particular location, however, drives me insane. The moment you walk in the door, the receptionist eyes you while simultaneously lifting the store PA phone to call a Code 7 or something similar. Seconds later, a salesperson comes running from the back of the store to see what she/he can do for you. And this salesperson cannot - no really, I'm not kidding - be shaken. There is no opportunity to browse unaided/unhindered by some pesky employee who keeps piping up with comments about pieces you're not even seriously interested in. Let me tell you a funny story now. Most recently, my fiance and I went kitchen table shopping at the Geneva store. We already knew that we were going to customize a table through the Color Cafe option, but wanted to browse the store to see what else they had. As I described above, a Code 7 was called and a woman (I'll call her K) came running to greet us. When she asked what brought us in that day, my fiance replied, "Furniture." She laughed hysterically and then asked, in a dead serious tone, "No, really, what kind of furniture?" So we said we were in the market for a Color Cafe table but wanted to look around. No matter - K dragged us to the back of the store to the Color Cafe section. So much for looking around! The Color Cafe process is done almost entirely on the computer, so the three of us huddled around K's desk looking at options. I would dismiss an option only to have K show it to me again, saying, "Now you liked this one..." five minutes later. And she kept inadvertently opening other programs on the computer, like Microsoft Media Player. When it came to selecting colors, well, I had had enough. First, she kept trying to convince me that I did not in fact want an all-white table, but rather, wanted one with a stained top. I explained that I felt that was a bit too country/farmhouse for my tastes, but K insisted (and managed to convince my fiance) that this was going to look stunning and I would regret it if I didn't go that route. Meanwhile, she couldn't figure out how to change the color of the table legs on the computer, and I was getting very nervous about her ability to place the order. So I announced I needed some time to think it all over and actually left the store, upon which I went home and did the work myself on the computer. I returned to the store with the exact item numbers I wanted (and yes, I got the table in white). By the way, while K was trying to figure out her computer illiteracy, my fiance and I kept excusing ourselves to go look at other furniture pieces. There were actually quite a few that we were interested in, but K was so busy computing, she completely missed our interest and subsequently, we didn't buy anything else. So while I love Thomasville furniture, I cannot stand visiting this store. My advice to the manager here? Tell your employees to back down. It's absolutely ridiculous - I should be able to browse, on my own, without someone else breathing down my back. And you know what? Give me five minutes in the store alone, before calling a code, hmm? Furthermore, if you want to sell these Color Cafe pieces, I recommend you thoroughly train your employees to run through the options and place the orders.
