The facilities are great and include a movie theater, a restaurant, a beauty salon, a nice gym, an art room, a little dog area, and a pub. The activities offered are eclectic and fun, too: cards, wine tastings, art classes, yoga, daily walks in the neighborhood, movies, and trips to places like gardens, museums, and restaurants. The residents are super nice, too and there is a real sense of community. Things that could be better: the menu is supposed to change every three months, but they have had the same menu for the last six months and the food gets monotonous. Also, only one door (the front door) opens automatically. For older people, many who have mobility issues, it is often difficult for them to get in and out of the doors. Finally, when my folks moved in they were told that the fees wouldn't go up more than 3% a year, but the rise in prices is more like 6%.

A board and care facility in a large private home in Oxnard, Grace Living is open, sunny, and neat as a pin. Every holiday is celebrated. Our mother has a large room and enjoys the attention...and the delicious meals! Attendants take residents outside every day to exercise.
