No longer recommended due to change in management. Now poorly operated. Should have kept previous management. High turn over.

Hello. My name is Martina. I have nearly for a year been a…read morepatient of Asisted Home Health. I am so happy with their care and I'd like to share why...I am respected, they honor my dignity and are very professional. It's very hard to be a patient that is in need, vulnerable and is 90% housebound. it makes being in a position like I am in easier when greeted by a caring nurse who is ready to help make a difference. i feel so thankful because i am healing. I know it's my job to be positive and take good care of myself in between my nurse visits and doctor visits. I have an exceptional team of doctors and I've shared with every one how exceptional the Asisted Home Health model of caring for the sick and vulnerable is. I can barely walk because I've been in need of a hip replacement for many years, but due to having an open wound I'm unable to get the hip replacement until my wound heals. I've got 5-6 cm presently June 11, 2026 to go, the wound was 14 cm deep. Since being cared for by Asisted Home Health and receiving aseptic care both at home and at the CMH Wound Center I have healed nearly 3 cm, and I'm so happy! It's slow healing because of radical radiation from stage four cancer, I'm also a survivor. My nurses are so loving to me and their supervisor makes sure I get all the supplies I need for optimal healing, and he's very well respected by his nurses. The leadership is exceptional at Assisted and encourages and supports their staff and nurses. My nurses have shared that they've been employed with this company a long time and are very proud to work for Asisted Home Health. I am nearly 74 in one month, I brag I'm nearly 3/4 of a century and I believe I'll heal by my 75th birthday completely. After being diagnosed with stage four cancer I was given three weeks to live had I not started radical chemo and radical radiation, which I completed barely. But after my second cancer related surgery a large boxer dog broke thru my backyard fence and caused me to get hurt as I was saving my little dogs life from the boxers jaws. An abscess developed 14 cm deep inside me because I had to pull and pull the boxer off my little dog going four feet into the air and down onto cement pavers as I broke my dog free. Sadly later the abscess broke thru my body and developed Into this open wound, it's a very sad story. The good news is I saved my dogs life and Kobe my mini schnauzer lived seven more years but I was really harmed. It's been a long journey healing but I have never given up due to my excellent doctors and nurses who truly care about me. Asisted is one of the best Home Health Agencies I've ever had and I hope they'll assist me to finish line healing this wound. I'm healing, but very slowly. I'm also getting exceptional care from Dr Alicia Haglund at CMH Wound Center, I really like her. And I believe someday around my 75th birthday I will get that hip replacement and be able to walk again and ride my bike and feel the wind on my face again. I loved riding my bikes In our beach city, I have a cruiser and an e-bike. If you have been refereed to this agency don't hesitate you'll be in exceptional care. Stay proactive in your healing and recovery. Help your team of doctors and nurses be successful helping you. They all work hard all day and need our kindness and appreciation of their care. They also need you to do your part and take the best care of yourself in your healing process and recovery. I love Asisted Home Health not just because I'm getting exceptional care but because they respect me and treat me with dignity. Before my doctor retired, Dr John Dexter wanted me to end my healing journey with them. I know they'll be a part of the journey to my full recovery and I'll be one of their success stories, and we'll all dance with happiness. My nurses call me a blessing and they tell me how they enjoy caring for me and coming to my home. Thank goodness...Molly has a lot to say about visitors in her home. Thank you Asisted Home Health from my heart and soul for all you do for me and for others. It takes a community and you're making a difference in my life and also in our community. You're the best...truly! You are champions! Thank you.

I called Assisted and within hours we met with a nurse and a social worker (Ariana and Jessica) had a bed delivered along with oxygen, a nebulizer, and meds. We were set up with a wonderful health aide - Elvia, three times a week. Throughout mom's journey, the Assisted team were there with loving care and excellent communication. When my mom decided in her last days that she wanted Last Rites, I called Ariana, who called the spiritual advisor and we had a priest at our door within the hour. I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism, expertise, love and care showed to my mom and our family by the whole team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Her son and I cared for her at home for many years before moving her into an assisted living facility in June 2025. We were referred to Buena Vista Hospice and from our first conversations with Jennifer and Anne who are in-take personnel, we felt heard and supported. They were kind, understanding, and incredibly helpful in guiding us through the hospice process. On February 16, 2026, we met with Diane, the RN, and Roland, the spiritual advisor, to complete her enrollment. They patiently answered our questions, explained Buena Vista's services, and treated our feelings with great consideration. My nephew and I left feeling confident that his mother, my sister, would receive the care she needed. The nursing team has made an enormous difference. Laura, the RN and nurse care manager, stays on top of Her's needs and coordinates her care. Tina, the LVN who visits twice a week, with Deneisha, RN, provides attentive, compassionate nursing support. They monitor her condition, communicate with the assisted living caregivers, and keep us informed through phone text messages whenever it is necessary. Knowing that is my sister is regularly seen, paid attention to, and treated with dignity brings us tremendous peace of mind. Jodi, the CNA who visits twice a week to help with bathing and personal care, is a true godsend. We deeply appreciate the kindness and attention she gives to her. Especially now that my sister is bedridden, this personal care means so much. Jodi's help reassures us that her comfort, cleanliness, and dignity remain a priority. The support extends beyond nursing and personal care. Social workers Danielle and later Hillary have been helpful, and Mark's extensive knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and dementia has been invaluable. We appreciate his willingness to educate families and share his understanding with the staff. Rabbi Lisa also visited my sister, listened to our concerns, and offered spiritual comfort during this difficult journey. Buena Vista arranged a hospice bed and wheelchair through Palmedeq, whose team communicated with me whenever equipment needed to be delivered to the facility. A special thank-you to Adafo, Alan, and Tom, and to Hector, who handles deliveries. We also want to recognize the wonderful office and support staff, including Jennifer, Anne, Arlene, Kaelyn, Noemi, Cynthia, Leslie, Diane, Kim, Katie, and Kate. They are responsive and helpful whenever we need assistance. For my sister's birthday in August, the staff signed a card and gave her a lovely blanket. We were deeply touched. That thoughtful gesture showed us that they see her as a person deserving of warmth, kindness, and celebration. After significant challenges with Kaiser Permanente Home Health before hospice, Buena Vista's understanding of Alzheimer's disease, communication, and attentive care have been especially meaningful to our family. Their knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and dementia helps us feel confident that they understand my sister's needs. My nephew and I are her only immediate family, and their support has helped us feel less alone. They care for my sister while also supporting us through one of the most difficult experiences of our lives. Thank you to everyone at Buena Vista Hospice, especially Laura, Tina, Deneisha, and Jodi, for your continued care and compassion. Having people, we can trust and rely on has made this journey easier. Based on our experience, we wholeheartedly recommend Buena Vista Hospice to families seeking compassionate, dependable care for a loved one.

I'm writing this review after the passing of my parent, who was a patient of Buena Vista…read more Throughout my family's experience with Buena Vista Home Health, we experienced glaring failures that I feel responsible to warn other families and patients about. The care that my parent received (and didn't receive) fell short of the prompt, coordinated, and compassionate standard that Buena Vista claims. Here are the issues that deeply upset my family: 1. ***Schedule changes and communication failures*** My parent was admitted to hospice with terminal cancer on a Thursday. We needed help with medications, at-home care, and so much more guidance. Our hospice nurse Deneshia rescheduled her initial visit TWICE so that my parent wasn't seen until Monday. For a patient at the end of life, every delayed visit is time that cannot be recovered. Repeated rescheduling of an initial hospice assessment is unacceptable and reflects a breakdown in staffing, prioritization, or accountability. When Deneshia came to deliver medical supplies, she framed the visit as if she were "doing us a favor," noting that she was "only supposed to come once a week." In reality, that visit was to deliver supplies that we should have received at admission. Presenting the correction of Buena Vista's own delay as a favor to our family was inappropriate and added to our sense that my parent's care was not being prioritized. 2. ***Medication delays and errors*** Prescribed medications were delayed or entered incorrectly, and critically, my parent's Ativan was not delivered until the night before they passed. For a hospice patient, timely access to comfort medications is not a convenience; it is the core of the service provided by hospice. Buena Vista Home Health was not proactive in coordinating with my parent's physicians and pharmacy to ensure medications were in the home where they were needed. This delay caused avoidable distress at the most vulnerable point in my parent's life, and it should have never happened under hospice supervision. 3. ***Missing standard supplies at admission*** When the admitting nurse Brian completed the assessment visit, he noted that the initial care bag contained only bare materials. Standard supplies that should have been provided at the outset but were missing until the following week included: -Shampoo and body wash -Cleaning supplies -Foam dressings -Calazime -Urinals My family and I got so frustrated waiting for these supplies that we ordered them ourselves online. The absence of foam dressings and Calazime was especially concerning given the risk of pressure injuries in a bed-bound patient. These are baseline items that a well-run hospice program should have delivered on day one, not days into service. 4. ***Shifting clinical responsibilities to my family*** Our hospice nurse Deneshia shifted responsibility onto me, rather than taking it on herself. The only time she ever physically touched my parent was during her introduction and to take vitals. She never demonstrated how to perform any aspect of my parent's care. Deneshia repeatedly referred to our family as the "primary nurses" and to herself as "secondary." I find this framing troubling. If the family is expected to serve as the primary caregivers, then the hospice nurse's role in supporting, teaching, and demonstrating care becomes even more essential--not less. I happen to be a nurse, but the standard of hospice care cannot depend on whether a family has a trained healthcare worker in it. Had I not been present, I am left to wonder what care my parent would have actually received. I asked Deneshia to provide a list of my parent's medications and how specifically to administer them. I never received a medication list or instructions. I am shocked that Deneshia tried to explain the mechanism of COPD to me when my parent did not have COPD. Any education that a hospice nurse provides should be specific and relevant to the patient in front of them, not generic information that does not apply to their patient's care. Between this, the lack of hands-on care, and the absence of any real teaching, I'm left questioning what purpose the hospice nurse served at all. 5. ***Responsiveness at the time my parent's passing*** On the morning of my parent's passing, I found my parent pulseless and not breathing. My family called Deneshia three times without any answer. When Deneshia finally returned the call, her tone conveyed that our calls were an inconvenience to her. Her tone only shifted when we informed her that my parent had passed. After I informed Buena Vista of these failures, their response was to offer their apologies and to let my family know that they would incorporate our grievances into their clinical education. I share these experiences because I don't want another family to endure what mine did.

From the moment she arrived she was given the 5 Star welcome with at least a dozen staff people and residents greeting her. Her studio Apartment was well maintained and spotless as is the entire facility. The management had a welcome basket and an Aegis small blanket waiting for her. She was in need of some TLC and they cleaned her up (sorry dear but they want to know) The Marketing Manager saw she was short some necessities and went out and got them. I was going to but she insisted. She was given one of those "I've fallen down and I can't get up" button. Plus they have detectors in her room that can monitor her. (You must opt-in if you want it). The food has been great with daily specials and a regular menu. Definitely not hospital food. They stay open from 7 to 7 daily and in the bistro they have coffee and somr of the best scones. There are activities throughout the day and special events every week. She was kinda sad to leave because everyone was so nice. Like being on a cruise ship! So... To summarize, I recommend Aegis Living.
