I mentioned that to one of the workers and he told me I was wrong, and that I could only buy another iPhone. I walked out that day upset and empty handed. A friend of mine works at another Verizon and told me that the worker lied to me and that it doesn't matter which phone I get. With that information, I went and paid that $220 and pre ordered the new Z Fold 7 online. Employees would retain a lot more customers if they were honest and didn't try to make their customers spend more money so they could profit more money off of us. I'm considering switching to Mint Mobile that's how infuriating this situation was.

So I did, and took it home to set it up. The phone itself was just what I wanted, with not all the bells and whistles but still lots of fine features. It was $140, so affordable. After using it for a few days, I could never connect with 5G, only 4G (and it was very slow). I called AT&T customer service (not the store) and asked why this was happening. He said "I'll check our tower in Yuma." When he came back, he had really bad news. "AT&T does NOT have 5G service in Yuma." Verizon does, and I switched to them. I was told AT&T was "working on it." Yeah, right. And I'm the Easter bunny. I'm done with AT&T permanently. And I got a refund from Walmart.
