**Unwelcoming and Poor Customer Service** I visited the store on June 23th at 10:30 am, and found only one employee present, who was assisting another customer. Despite entering and waiting for nearly **10 minutes**, I was completely ignored--not even a simple acknowledgment or greeting. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy, especially when making an effort to support a business. Very disappointing experience; I hope management addresses this lack of professionalism. read more

AT&T Store - ATT store - Mobile Phones Near Me - Traverse City, Michigan

I recently went to purchase a new iPhone 16 Pro at this facility and had a bad experience. First Issue...apparently if you want to be authorized on your account, you can't just do it right then or there. It takes 24 hours. My purchase got errored out and I was told to come back the next day. Second Issue... came back the next day and they ordered the wrong color. Later that night I received an email with the incorrect color and decided I would head back the next morning to correct. That next morning they set aside a brand new iPhone 16 Pro (correct color this time) that had apparently shipped in the night before. They told me that once I received the iPhone I had originally ordered (the wrong color one) I could come back and do the exchange. Third Issue...when I came back to do the exchange, just days later, the iPhone set aside for me was no longer there and they had no answer as to why. Sure, the people here are nice, but the customer service is non-existent. The employees there did nothing to make me feel like a valued customer. I was just another order. Besides looking at their iPad, I feel as though there is nothing the employees can do to actually help the customer. Even if they put something aside, you can't guarantee it will still be there. No one seems to be on the same page. read more

I have seen lazy, bored, poorly organized and incompetent before but these two lumps are impressive. It's like watching one of those people painted gold attempting to imitate a statue by not moving, but poorly groomed. I actually thought one employee was a customer because he was just sitting there doing nothing for a half hour. Then he answered the phone. (He didn't do too good at that either.) Afterwards he went back to watching a phone sync. Yes, this guy who comes off like a less charismatic Shaggy from Scooby-do, sat watching a phone sync for 45 minutes while attempting to flirt with a disinterested customer. Sad yet hilarious. Don't believe any positive reviews. They are obviously fake. We have had uninterrupted AT&T cell service since 2000, mostly because I really don't care that much. Now, I will have to change because this place is just too damn sad, and I just can't bear the thought of returning. read more

Horrible customer service. Never received a greeting. Answered a phone call and spent approximating 8 minutes on the call while two of us were waiting. I left a more lengthy description on this awful experience on Google. Go the the S Airport store for friendly, professional and courteous help. Always a greeting at the entrance. read more

This store is absolutely terrible. The "employee" that I interacted with was completely not interested in helping me. In fact, he tried to talk me out of upgrading my phone because he was to lazy to do any work. He was rude, detached, and really did not want to be there's. Additionally l, he appeared very dirty and looked like he had just cone into work from a hard night of drinking and partying. I have never had these experiences at the other att stores in town. Stay away from this store. I would expect much more from ATT. Such an embarrassment to have this employee represent your company. read more

Every single time I have gone to this store location it hasn't been very pleasant. The last time I went to get my wife a new phone after I had gotten one myself. Customer service was zero. The only said to us (rudely) Was you have an appointment? They weren't even busy. No we will be with you in a second. Welcome to att. So we went to the south airport store and it was great. Very friendly staff and we were in and out in a timely fashion. Skip this location and just got to south airport location across from the mal. I took my S7 to the store today because I wanted to pull my sd card to add some music to it but the tray would only come out about halfway. The MENSA candidates here ripped the card tray out leaving a chunk of the tray stuck in the slot rendering my phone unusable. They did however refer me to another vendor I could PAY to fix my phone they rendered unusable. No reimbursement, no apology nothing just a "it was broken when you brought it in here." Horrible Service, asked me what my issue was. I said I needed to speak with someone about billing and my phone being unlocked to switch services. Was trying to explain it to them because I called over the phone. Then said call 611. Then I came into the store because my issue wasn't resolved and was trying to tell them that I need to speak with someone. And I have my account number on me. Hoping to get things worked out. These people are just bunch hungry sales reps jacked up on making a dumb sale. They are rude, told me that they can't help me. Allowed one of the customers that they were helping to get involved and talk back to me like dummy. Most ridiculous people in TC. Service sucks and they think they are this and that. Unless you are willing to buy new and spend your money that's all they care about. They are absolutely not there to fix anything or help you with any technical difficulties or answer any questions they are there to sell. Avoid this store like everyone else says to do. And if AT&T wants to follow with a comment be my guess. Because then I will tell you that this store doesn't understand that everyone that steps in foot into that is a guest that has their service. That's no way to treat them. Act like they are someone needs to refused service. I told the store on S airport about this they said that store has nothing to do with AT&T and they are bunch of sales reps but doesn't mean they treat any customers like that. read more

Wow. My visit to this store this morning rates among the worst--and most bizarre--customer service experiences OF MY LIFE. I went into the store just after it opened today, with an appointment. My phone, an iPhone6 which I purchased at the other At&T store in TC last year, has been malfunctioning lately. (The screen is periodically replaced by a series of pulsating lines.) this is frustrating of course, because it keeps leaving me stranded without a phone. I was calm, though, and ready to do what I needed to do to get a replacement machine. It seems, though, that AT&T has recently changed it's policy regarding business accounts. (I am one of two people listed on a business account, for a small family company that I co-own with my husband.) Since I was not listed as what AT&T now calls an "administrator," I was told that I could not be helped today. But the customer service clerk, Mark, did not tell me why this was or exactly what I needed to do to fix it. (Turns out it was a simple fix, that just involved going online and filling out some more paperwork. I could have done this in the store if he had been informed enough to tell me how to fix the problem instead of blaming me.) Instead, when I expressed my frustration--I am without a functioning phone, a fact that has caused me significant stress over the past week when I've been stranded without communication, and was told that I could not get it fixed today, even though I had called ahead and made an appointment to resolved the situation!-- Mark, the customer service rep was waiting on me--actually SHOUTED at me. He had no desire (or, could it be, ability?!) to resolve the situation, so instead, blamed me and began to verbally abuse me, in front of all of the other customers in the store. Obviously this individual was not going to be able to help me, so I stood up and asked, "could you please direct me to your manager." I was told to speak to Brian. And so, I walked over to where he was, waiting on another customer. I said something along the lines of "excuse me, when you are done, may I have a moment of your time." and again, was treated extraordinarily rudely in response. I suppose it could be that bad customer service skills are contagious? It was almost as though they were in a competition to see who could be ruder to the customers. I've been to many a cell phone store over the past decade, in many major cities and even a few countries. I have never, ever been treated anywhere near this rudely, even in stores which handle volume ten times higher than this little store in tiny TC. I hope the owner of this particular franchise reads this review. This store needs serious rudimentary customer service training. Plus you may want to review the HR records of some of your employees. I will never set food in this particular store again. (which sucks, since it's so close to my house!) and I recommend all my neighbors to avoid it LIKE THE PLAGUE. Unless, perhaps, you are particularly masochistic and enjoy being yelled at when you try to resolve an issue with your phone. :) read more

We had a problem with our phone. The South Airport ATT told me to call tech support that there was nothing they could do and gave me the impression he didn't want to deal with it. I did call tech support and they did try but couldn't figure it out. One last shot was the ATT on Union St. Brian figured out part of the problem right away then worked with my husband and I and got our phones working. It took awhile and he was cordial through the whole experience and didn't make us feel we were wasting his time. This is the only ATT store we will use. read more
