A visit to the AT&T Store on Richmond Avenue was very satisfactory as I brought a friend there to switch her mobile phone service to AT&T. She had a new phone that had to be activated and also requested that all of her data be transferred to the new phone. Customer Service Representative JD handled the whole affair with expertise, diligence and extreme patience as this customer had a great amount of data and she had many, many questions during the time it took to complete all of this. The worst customer service. Brought an iPhone case. Rep told me she will email me the receipt instead of printing one. Wasn't planning on returning it. A week later came back in to return it but told them they never emailed me the receipt. Rep that sold it to me, was flabbergasted and said if she did the transaction there is no way I would not have gotten it. She tells me there is nothing she can do and I can only trade it in with another useless expensive case. I already told to a AT&T rep at another store as well as online and they both told me that they should be able to accommodate or if anything find the transaction if I had bank statements and the date and time of the transaction. She was getting offended that I told her this info and she was acting extremely unprofessional and needs a lesson on customer service. Wait time to get assisted in this store is ridiculous. It always has been. I always try to go to a different location if it can be helped. Not only do they not have a greeter at the door, but they won't even acknowledge you or the fact that you're waiting. Frankly, I'm surprised this location lasts. I purchased a phone online at ATT. It was provisioned incorrectly and I headed over to the store on Richmond Avenue outside the mall to resolve the issue. I worked with Veronica and Trevor and they were amazing. Veronica handled the re-provisioning of my account along with Trevor. Trevor helped me select a different phone and then went and picked it up at another store. On a subsequent trip, I also purchased a table and again, he went to another store to pick it up. It's safe to say that Trevor and Veronica went above and beyond to ensure I am a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this store along with Trevor and Veronica. read more

Went in on a Saturday morning to get an upgrade. I knew what phone and color I wanted so I just wanted to go in and leave as soon as possible. After 15 minutes, I was finally signed in. Then after an hour of waiting, half the staff goes to lunch. I went to go complain to one of the only workers still there and he said he has nothing to say, people have to eat and he can't help me. I understand they have lunch breaks but they should have told the people waiting that most of the staff will go to lunch. This store is awful. I have been with AT&T for 15 years and asked for management here to install a screen protector for my S9. After taking the screen protector out of the original unopened package, they stuck it to my phone and then said the screen protector was cracked when they took it out of the box. The staff was incredibly hospitable and willing to help, all of my questions were answered with diligence and knowledgeable care, walked out confident with an iPhone 11 pro max and the latest Apple Watch all fixed up and taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The AT & T on Forest Avenue, on Staten Island, I had an awful experience in the AT&T store the other day. I bought a pair of wireless head phones and they stop working in less than one week. I went to return them to the store and they refused to take them back, Although they were week old and I had the receipt. I am so disappointed with AT&T. This is ridiculous. I've been a customer for decades and have paid them tens of thousands of dollars and this is how they repay customer loyalty. I am truly considering changing carriers because of this horrible experience. Not to take back a defective item less than week of purchase through no fault of my own, is outrageous. Do not go to the AT& T store on Forest avenue, in Stop and Shop center, Staten Island, NY. The customer service is horrible and they won't accommodate you. The manager was especially rude and not helpful at all. AT&T if they are not not part of corporate stores be careful who you franchise with. This store has incredibly poor service. The manager George was completely unhelpful and tries to avoid customers. I had 'no service' errors on my iPad and telephone customer service determined I needed a new SIM card and sent me to this store. I will never forget how AT&T forced me to give up my Unlimited Data plan, by throttling my speed after i reached 2gb quota for the month. When i fought them on the phone i was called a network "hog". I'm now on 30gb/month plan, and going over the limit without any issues, $15 per extra GB used. Noone is calling me a hog anymore, but my bill is almost double of what i used to pay. Went in to get a SIM card but when I got home I saw a bunch of e-mails from AT&T thanking me for upgrading my data plan to a higher one. I was shocked to see this especially when I didn't authorize this or wasn't told anything about it in the store. I don't want to post the sales rep name but just beaware that this is happening a lot. read more
