First of all been a customer over 25yrs. At that time it was Cingular I'm in today for assistance on my new phone. Upgraded 2 days ago for the 13. Yeah I know the 15 coming out later this month but I refuse to pay $2k for a phone. Sorry not sorry... Kia assisted me on the purchase 2 days ago. She was very sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. She went over every option to get me the best deal and discounts. My current plan was better than the ones offered. So I kept the current plan. Today, the Assistant store mgr Brian assisted me. He was great! He had just finished with a customer when I walked in. Actually I met him a week ago when I came in regarding a possible upgrade. I did not get his name . Like I said just needed help removing an annoying pop up. He asked that I do a review while charging my phone. Worst customer experience I've ever had in my life. In 4 days they transformed me from a paying customer into a bitter detractor with one of the most bizarre sequences of events ever. Salesperson comes to my porch and says they finally got fiber in my neighborhood... I as excited to finally leave Comcast coaxial for a Better online experience, and years ago I had Uverse and was sad they were not available in my neighborhood for the past 7 years even though I was only ) miles from where I had them. Happily got connected. They had a good bundle deal with my phone as well so connected that too. A day or two passed and they installed.... All was good. Transferred my phone and talked with another salesperson in Chicago ( charming lady named Latoya). Told her my wife wanted to leave t-mobile and bring her 2 phones plus my kids 2 phones and a work phone over. Latoya put together a great package after we went back and forth over phone types and bundle pricing. All was good... but then... she said inexplicably, that it came up that they wanted a $260 PER PHONE deposit for each extra phone ( 5 total!). I was baffled, because they hadn't run my credit or even asked to, and I have great credit. She the worked to try to bypass it, putting in different phones and calling her back office. The next day, I told her I would just add my other phone ( a phone I used from Xfinity that I own), while we waited to figure out the rest. Was then informed that I would not be allowed to add even the additional phone THAT I OWN to my account because my account had been flagged for fraud. I guess it's unheard of that any families with 2 or three kids would want to start a family phone plan. The rep tried everything she could to get it unflagged, put me on the phone with some sycophant in the fraud dept, who proceeded to ask me two or three questions, put me on hold for 5 minutes, and then tell me they would not be able to approve any phones at all, even with deposits, nor add any phones to my service, AND they could not tell me why. My sales rep Latoya apologized profusely, and said if I had the stomach, to go into an AT&T store m, and that face to face they would likely be able to solve this. I went to the nearest store with my fully owned Xfinity phone, and told them the situation, stating I only wanted to add this phone I already have paid off to my account. They took my drivers license and some other info, called som number, and I got to speak to another "fraud dept sycophant". This guy asked two or three questions... told the rep the same thing. I'm standing there like, I have lived in my house for 9 years, had uverse service for 4 prior to that, have excellent credit score, am an American citizen, and not only do they have me flagged for fraud because I wanted to purchase 5 phones at once.. but now they refuse to sell em anything, and refuse to allow me to add a phone I own to my internet and single phone I have with them. Further, they can't tell me why or give any further information. I informed them yesterday I am cancelling the Internet I just got 3 days ago... cancelling the phone I've had for two days, and effectively making sure people know how poorly run and arrogant an organization AT&T is. I'm sure there are people with ill intent who try to scam them out of phones. That has nothing to do with me. A simple google search would tell them who I am, where I work, how long I've lived in my house and they could easily run my credit.... But, they have some algorithm in place that flagged me for daring to purchase 5 phones simultaneously... and no human person in the whole company with the skill, the give-a-damn, or the infrastructure to do anything about it. I called Verizon an hour after getting the transfer pin from the AT&T phone I just started service with 2 days ago. Told them the 5 phone models I had worked up a quote for with AT&T. They laughed at the whole situation, did a soft credit pull on me, and in on hours time I had everything ordered and transferred over. This is a prime example of companies that are so big, so de-centralized, and so unaccountable to customers and even themselves, that they literally took money out of their own pocket and made a lifelong enemy... and THEY DON'T CARE. Maybe a year from now when they lay off employees & have internal meetings and hollow speeches from management about "customer churn" and attrition, they will offer some empty platitudes about how they have to be better but they won't. Service was poor from the start. I'd love to be specific about the person that provided service, or lack thereof but he never introduced himself. Nonetheless, it was the most poor and negative customer service experience I had in quite a while. I tried to explain, as I had extenuating circumstances but he had a blank stare, offered no suggestions or support. His attitude and tone were condescending and dry. It was as if he took pleasure in acting like a gate keeper. It took everything in me not to walk out mid conversation. Although the location is very convenient to my home, I would prefer to drive the 30+ minutes to another location as opposed to the 9 minutes to get here. I will say that when I first switched to AT&T (10/25) and needed to come to the store (12/9) the young lady, MeMe, was very knowledgeable about current promotions and sales, friendly, patient and quick to assist as well as anticipate future needs. She is quite honestly the only reason why I give 2 stars. On today, 12/14, I'm extremely disappointed. Let's start with manners, albeit no one is required to do anything, but on the strength of common courtesy and general MANNERS, the gentleman on this evening were lacking. I approached the door with my baby in car seat and the box to a returned device in the other. There was a sales rep (Aaron) standing right at the door talking to a customer who was for lack of better words "one foot in, one foot out" having regular conversation, the STORE manager (the heavier gentleman) was seated at a table scrolling on his phone and intermittently talking to another associate. They all watched as I'm doing the "mom struggle" (pulling door, catching with my foot etc) to get through the door. And I just... wow! Lol I mean didn't even flinch to make it look good. Now, I know every location/company sets different expectations for their employees. But in all the sales roles I've worked it was stressed that, if you're not "busy" get off the sales floor. Which is right! As a consumer why do I want to watch you scroll on your phone and giggle with your counterparts but you're telling me it'll be 5 minutes for me to be serviced? Which it was definitely more than 5 minutes. Again, AS A CONSUMER, if it doesn't look like you're doing something, you're doing nothing! & This is what break rooms are for. Again, understanding sales driven environment, most reps are looking for the transactions that equal sales/upgrades etc. BUT it's a hour before closing and one other customer actually being serviced and about 4-5 reps in the store. How many sales are you expecting to come through the door? And why not address my 5 minute SIM issue to get to the sale that might take you 30 minutes to close? & Then when I caught another manager on the way out the door (God bless his heart he was in the crossfire lol) and asked him if managers are able to assist with SIM cards. He gave a very diplomatic and neutral response coming down to it depends on what's going on in the store (rep observations, paperwork etc) which I respected and expected! However... one hour before closing, the only customer being assisted was non English speaking and being assisted by a bilingual rep, with the manager sitting close by ON HIS PHONE. I highly doubt you're choosing this transaction to perform a sales observation on. Which he tried to insult my intelligence and say he was. After Aaron finished his conversation with the gentleman, who ofc left with nothing, walked him outside, continued talking, moseyed back in - he did try to turn the experience around. And when my husband called on FT... lol it was jokes and "weren't you in here last week", "your baby's name xxxx, right?". But, where was this energy 15 minutes ago when you stood at the door and didn't even attempt to push this heavy thing open? All in all, I honestly really blame corporate for making these environments such a cesspool of piranhas! If they didn't drive the sales so hard the employees could maintain a higher level of personable presence and humanity. Yet and still, I wouldn't recommend this location unless you have a sale to add to their quota. An upgrade, a new service agreement - ya know? But when the SIM doesn't work for said new service, drive elsewhere because the customer service stopped once you completed the initial transaction! read more

This place rocks my socks. Some of the reps are not the best but most of the service reps like Julian are awesome. They know what they are talking about so give them respect and love if that's what you want in return. I've purchased some phone accessories from here and nearly purchased some phones from here but most of the time it is to activate sim cards or technical issues which I can't handle over the phone with customer support whenever an issue arises. We walked in and told them we came in looking to get an iPhone 14 pro max and they were like cool we have them in stock and we waited over an hour to get help and there were 3 walk ins after us and they got helped before us. They kept skipping us for some reason. And when they finally helped up they told us they were out of iPhone 14 pro max so they just wasted our time and me as a service member I just came home for Christmas and have limited time with my family before I have to leave back to the military after new years. Came in knowing exactly what I was going to buy. Still had to sign up in and wait for 30 minutes to get a sales associate to ring me up. I get having to wait if you need personal attention or have questions for the sales staff. But if you already know exactly what you need, really should be a fast track line just to make your purchase. That's more a general AT&T comment than a comment about this particular store, because I'm pretty sure this is just their regular procedure. Anyway, I finally get an associate who is friendly enough but gave me a dirty look when I said I didn't want to buy a case and screen protector. Then he made fun of my last name. Then he told me my phone bill was due yesterday (it had slipped my mind.) I was reaching into my purse to grab my debit card and pay the phone bill and buy my new item and he starts lecturing me on how paying my bill is more important than buying a new phone. I am not kidding. This actually happened. No idea if he thought he was being funny or cute, but it definitely fell flat. I'll be calling AT&T about this. The bill was about 12 hours past due and I was reaching for my card to take care of it; it isn't like I'm three months late. Either way since when is it a sales associate's job to lecture a paying customer about the necessity of their purchase? I was perfectly capable of making my purchase at that store and this guy blew it. I'm going directly to the Apple Store and switching to Verizon pretty much next week. Update a few days later: Left word with the manager, who gave me his personal cell phone number and took the situation very seriously. I stopped in here because I wasn't receiving voice mail on my iPhone 4. I walked in and was greeted immediately and directed to a service tech who was available the moment I walked in. I explained my problem and it took him 2 minutes to fix my phone, give me some tips on how to recognize any further issues and I was out the door in a FLASH!!! Cannot complain about any other times that I have been in here and I only end up in here when I have issues. They have always taken really good care of me and my husband, we have no complaints. The only downside is the narrow parking lot that can be difficult to maneuver if there are too many cars there. read more

As I don't have phone service with this place, my Directv account is linked up with them. One day I had a lot of trouble reaching customer service to change my plan and kept being on hold for over 30 mins, after which I would just hang up. I stopped here to see if they could access my account quicker but no dice. However a rep there held the hold time for me as I walked around the store to see everything they had to order. Gerald Bell was my "retail sales consultant". Before verifying my upgrade he went ahead and evaluated my phone taking screen protector off. There was an issue with the upgrade... one which he could not completely explain. Didn't care to explain because at that point could not get a "sale". Now I am without a screen protector on my phone but Gerald Bell doesn't care because he's a salesman now without a sale. Customer service should come first then the sales will come. I used to live in Norcross and I have lived in Snellville going on 6 yrs. This is the only AT&T store I use because I always get great service at this location. Pierre Ducasse was the first employee to ever help my wife, son, and me in picking new phones and he is the reason we keep going to that location. He was promoted to manager several years ago and we rarely see him anymore but his customer service is the reason we continue to use this location. Only once have I ever waited 1 hr and that was because I arrived at a peak service time. I relaxed, checked out new phones for the heck of it and watched a football game. It is a large store with a service team in the back and all of the employees I encountered, in both depts, are nice and knowledgeable. They usually have 4-5 or more employees working on sales, who will get you to the service dept., if needed. read more

Update to issues with a so called fiber gigabit service - at best I can expect about a quarter of the band with I am paying for (I am hard cabled in with a gigabit ethernet card) and downloads are about a quarter of what they should be - they can not fix it - uploads are slightly higher than downloads but still average is about a quarter of what I am paying for - additionally the DNS server that converts the typed in domain name to a physical IP address is constantly not able to be reached via their own hardware yet of I manually specify Google as my DNS server I stay connected (this really amazes me) - end result is if I had a choice of providers to use - I would choose anyone over ATT read more

Stay away from this place! They charge you for services and devices that you do not want. We went in for 2 new iPhones - period. When my wife went back alone they also gave her a small tablet that neither of us want or need. They also tacked on a monthly fee for the tablet. When she returned it, they wanted a $35 "restocking" fee. We did not open the box - an AT&T employee opened the box. They also loaded my email on the device without my permission. Nether my wife nor I have touched this tablet, yet they want a monthly service fee and a restocking fee. Really? I like Apple products and I am sure I will enjoy my iPhone6 but I regret making my purchase here. They took advantage of us for profit. I was 5th in line and walked out empty handed due to all phones being sold out. Management did nothing for me and people farther back in line got a phone before me. Had to go here today because my phone was acting up. Upon inspection, I simply had dirt and dust in my charging port which was causing the error messages. The tech cleaned both mine and my wife's phones charging ports while explaining to us how to do it for future reference to hopefully save a trip. He also ordered me a new charger because he said my old one probably had dirt in it now and it would be harder to get it out. Very good customer service by the tech here. Thank you! read more

I haven't actually been in the store itself -- but I'm sitting across the street and their free wifi service is making it possible for me to "work from home" while my truck gets serviced.
