The girl that helped me with my phone bill completely screwed me i came in looking to do a trade in. She said yes you'll get the new 17 for free with this trade and my boyfriend would get 600 dollars off of his 17 pro max for the trade. I received the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my 46 years of existence. As a new customer who switched from your competitor, I was told to take the 3 coupons into a store to get cases and screen protectors. I get there and he wouldn't honor the coupons and lied to try and upsell me telling me he was out of screen protectors and so were all the stores in the area for my iPhone 11 I demanded my money back as he had already performed a transaction on my card. I went to the location near the Joliet mall and got everything I needed, including the iPhone 11 screen protector (that they supposedly didn't have) without issue and within a timely fashion. AT&T needs to make sure people provide better customer service if they want to keep their customers. read more

I was there today because my SIM card stopped working. Brianna went above and beyond to help me. She was on the phone for about an hour, bouncing from department to department, until the AT&T rep could authorize a new SIM remotely. Brianna was courteous and professional the whole time, never flustered. She apologized for the wait, made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Monday morning my wife and I found out our iPhone 7's would not be supported under the new ios 16 operating system from Apple. We called the Shorewood AT&T store and spoke to Mike who said we could come right in. We had no real idea of what we wanted. Mike asked what our needs were and brought us phones he thought we would like. He was correct. He showed us our new phones and went through the process of changing over all the information in our old phones. He also went over our monthly bill. We thought we had the best plan; but he worked the numbers and showed us a better plan for less money! Mike answered all of our questions with easy to understand answers. Came here a 1/2 hour b4 closing to upgrade a phone for my son. His phone was kind of busted up & had issues w/ the lock button & ringer so we upgraded. We met Tariq who seemed happy to accommodate us. There was no issues, or rudeness which Ive seen at other stores. He told us what we needed to know. We explained our budget and our situation and he helped us out. He was upbeat & friendly and did not try to sell us something we didn't need nor was he pushy. Nice young guy w/ a good attitude. I kidded him about trying to get out by closing time. He assured us that he wasn't in a hurry and our needs were a priority. Very professional. I liked that. As we were leaving several young ladies, apparently also w/ phone issues were directed towards Tariq. Big smiles for them saying he'd be happy to help them momentarily. Good vibe in here. read more

So my son goes in to the store to transfer his number from my business plan to his own plan. I released the number there should be no issues. But the girl that works there tells him he needs to get a new number and proceeds to give him a completely new line phone and everything. For the sole purpose of bumping up her bonus. So 2 days later I have to go back into the store and have it fixed. So I'm dealing with the heavy set manager girl there for an hour and a half and she says it's all taken care of and tells me I'll be getting a refund of the second account we never wanted. Then a month later and long after the scamming children employed there had gotten their bonuses for the fake account. My son gets yet another bill for the account that was never supposed to exist. So I call att and they have no record of any changes made to the account. So the heavy set manager girl just flat out lied to pump her numbers while screwing up my kids credit score. So I have to go back a 3rd time call att put them on speaker with her so that I didn't get scammed a 3rd time. This manager child should be fired if this was a corporate store she would have been. But since this store is owned by a person I'm sure they have no idea these people are stealing from him and putting good customers through unnecessary BS. Shame on this so called manager and her little friend they are horrible people out for them selfs and could careless the trouble they put people through. read more

Chapter 1: Fool me once, shame on you. Do you like to take bike rides and fall down? Have you ever wondered in 1998 what it would feel like to take a Randy Johnson fast ball in the ribs? Do you think Ukraine would be a nice vacation destination today? If so the AT&T Shorewood location is the place for you. Approx. 1 week agofresh off my honeymoon, I went inside to sign my wife and I up for the first responder plan. My coworkers have done so and said it was quick easy, maybe 1 hour process. I went inside and talked to a man and he said, after tax, for myself it would be 62.50. Puzzled by this as I saw the deal for 39.99, he assured me this is what the price was and that I would get a watch phone line, which they gave me for signing up, and a tablet phone line, which I already obtained from a Christmas gift in 2020. The man began punching in the information. I then began to hear moans and groans from him as he dug deeper into my plan. A couple hours went by and he asked for my email and SS code approx. 20 different times I began to worry. Another hour goes by and he asked me for my ss and email again 20 more times. Everytime he punches my information in, it doesn't work. Now commen sense would sayafter 3 hours and 50 attempts of doing the same thing, would mean that isn't the correct remedy. I sat there for anothe hour whike sitting look on his face as if a child was given an arubix cube and was told he had 2 minutes to complete it. After 4 hours, he admitted self defeat and told me his manager had to complete the process. 4 hours, no result. I was about as happy as a person puking when they have the flu. Chapter: Fool me twice shame on me. I must be a glutten for punishment because I returned to the store the following day. I meant with the manager who assured me it would be a smooth process. As I was waiting her child was also in the store being looked after by various employees. Crawling under tables and running around the mint green iPhone 13 display the AT &T store now became a playground and I was standing underneath the swing set. I was determined to get this done. She told me the price would be 62.55 for the phone line, watch line, and tablet line after tax. I trusted her because she was a manager and I assumed she knew what she was doing. After 3 hours of calling corporate, yelling at her child, and playing with her own phone, she said she was sorry it was taking so long. I advised her I almost worked an 8 hour shift at the AT&T store. We shared a laugh, to my dismay. After 3 hours she tells me that it's done. My phone is set. I asked, what about my wife's phone, she had an expression that she just spent 40 days and 40 nights in the Sahara desert with no water. She told me to come back another time because It would take too long. I said no. I want this done I've been here 2 days and 7 hours. She became visually upset and threw thr phone to the man who wasted 4 hours of my life the previous day and told him to do it. The man accepted my phone like a sad puppy taking a verbal joust after it juat went potty on the kitchen floor. The woman, the manager, then called a car dealer ship and began to yell at them for poor customer service, oh the irony. She was yelling on the phone so loud you could hear it from the Mariano's deli section. The man spent another hour working on my phone. He told me he could not get my wife on my plan and made a claim and maybe it would be fixed in 72 hours. I was livid. I took my belongings and left the store and disappeared like a fart in the wind. Chapter 3: the Discovery Has someone ever called you and told you your dog died? Well that's how I felt when I went into the AT & T corporate store. I told the gentleman the saga and he had a face of be wilderment. His face resembled an expression as if you were trying to figure out the answer to pie (3.14). He told me that the Shorewood store was charging me insurance to all 3 devices, the phone, watch and tablet. He told me the price was 39.99, not 62.50 that it was 62.50 because they charged me for a Hotspot. I erupted like St. Helen's volcano. I never authorized insurance, which in all totalled an extra 60 dollar charge. I never wanted hot spot. I was lied to. I was cheated. I was the victim of deceptive practice. This was fraud. I became irate. I know how it works. The more stuff they sign u up for the bigger their commission. I was cheated and the victim of fraud. The man assured me he would fix all the evil the Shorewood AT&T bestowed upon me. He advised he was so sorry. He said he would get everything fixed and that I could leave and he'd contact me in 1 hour to give me peace and mind that everything would be okay. We were going to get through this. I've been an AT&T customer for decades and I've never been in a store where they've let me walk out unhappy until now. The store was busy so we waited,no problem, and the sales person that was helping us was helpful until we ran into a bureaucracy issue on the phone trade. I can understand a contract is a contract however the blond female manager in charge was one of the laziest sellers I've dealt with in a long time. She made NO EFFORT to do a work around for the sale not even a phone call to find out if anything could be done. I felt bad for our sales guy because he lost out on the sale because of her lack of ambition. I say this because I watched as our sale guy managed two to three customers at a time to her one. So if AT&T is reading this we visited on 6/23 at 5:30 just so you can check the schedule! You have a novice sale person there with a lot of personality and ambition supported by one of the laziest AT&T managers I've ever dealt with. Came in to pay my tv bill, they convinced me to switch over to AT&T TV and promised me a $200 gift card, it has been over 4 months and I have still not revived it. Went in to change my debit card number and they claimed they couldn't do it, later that day and went to sprint and they did it no problem. The people who work at this location are lazy and can not do their job at all. Please hire new people these suck! read more

I went there to exchange a couple of defective U-Verse remotes. There's ONE employee handling FOUR customers. When she gets to me, she says they don't carry equipment...so she directs me to the store in the Louis Joliet mall. The moment I walk in the door, the associate informs me they don't carry equipment either. He says that store keeps sending customers there in error. I have to deal with it via toll-free number. I wasted my morning going from store to store. And BTW-why DON'T the stores carry equipment?? read more

I came in to get a new phone and the boy tyreak?sp explained and made the process go smooth especially with an 11 month old child with me. He also provided me with some special offers. Two days later I came back to set up my phone because it had to be ordered and another young gentleman helped me. He was quick to transfer things over from phone to phone.
