They advertise and offer them, but good luck getting one. I need it for a device that uses a SIM, preferably T-Mobile. I could easily get a prepaid T-Mobile SIM from Walmart but prefer to keep my money local, and I wanted to use prepaid in case I was unhappy, I am only out for one month of service. The gal trying to help me kept going into her manager's office and returning a contract to put me on an account with a monthly plan. I don't want a contract, I want a prepaid SIM to try it in the device. That's it, no fuss no muss. It's not complicated because I have been on a prepaid account with another carrier for years. I ended up going to Walmart and got exactly what I wanted. I tried keeping my money local.

They immediately picked up I needed assistance and maybe a tad bit of support. Joanna took time to speak with me about my worries with my bill, my current situation and genuinely turned a very stressful day into a happy one. She even was able to decrease my monthly bill cost after looking over my profile. She was able to connect me to Verizon reps via phone as well for further assistance and stayed with me. I'm grateful that I still have Verizon as my phone/wifi carrier. If it weren't for the team members in store and the call center I wouldn't have kept my service. A big thank you to the employees for focusing on a tailored customer experience and meeting the customer where they are at. I have always had great service at this location! It was very frustrating, very, very frustrating. I made all the right calls but could not fix it since they caused the issue by changing my phone number which nullified my trade value. They did not activate the right line, but created a new line instead....so AT&T kept my trace in for free as a donation, then charged me for the phone that should have been zero cost based on the switch from my former provider to them. HUGE mistake, unable to fix through them or AT &T. I will never deal with them again, and switched back to my old provider. Biggest regreat is that I can not give them a zero now.

The manager then went into a back room and hid. This store is a franchise. We had to go to AT&T's company-owned store on Coffee in Bakersfield to get the mistake fixed. That entailed 3 visits to Bakersfield and 3 calls to AT&T foreign representatives who were hard to understand. The calls required 30-minute waits, and one was dropped. Thankfully, the Bakersfield store representatives were patient and a pleasure to work with. Troublesome as the trip is, I'd go there.
