I went to the ATT store in Mount Shasta to replace my Iphone. I gave up my Iphone 8 and the girl in the store was literally talking about how it would become hers. I was given a $75 credit for this phone that was 2 years old thinking I would get an Iphone 13 for free because of ATT's advertisements on TV. When I got the new Iphone 13, little to my knowledge they set up the account as (myemail)@att.net, an email I would never receive because I don't go to ATT for emails, why would ATT in Mount Shasta ever do that, it should have been set up to come to one of my two emails I received daily? I wondered why I could never see my bill or what had transpired in my trade-in? All I got every month was a text that I was late on my bill, with no email prompt. The said; This is the amount owed press 1 to pay the bill or press 2 to make a partial payment. I was discouraged because my bill went from $78 per month to $108. So I went down to the store and one of the female employees tried to help me, the same one who got my Iphone 8. She couldn't help me because the emails I offered didn't work. I went home wondering, but thought I would get something at one of my two emails I had. Nothing ever appeared? I went down to the store a 2nd time and the young man in her store tried to help me again. He told me to let him know my emails. We sent a prompt through Icloud after accessing my Icloud account, he wouldn't let me see the tablet he was using in the store and told me that wasn't allowed? It was very fishy? The boy in the store acted like,"Oh well," I don't know why you can't see your bill? I went home and once again, no bill and no email? I became alarmed that this store was not trying to assist me, nor had any knowledge about how I could retrieve my bill. I remembered a sign in their store that said; "No Stupid People Allowed." I thought to myself, how ironic? I then called Deb the owner and she started calling me "Hon and Honey." I asked her to please stop calling me this and she said, "I'm not sure if I can?" Like it was a habit. Now, I don't know if she realizes that women wouldn't like to be called babe, by Billy-Bob or Jethro Bodine, but in the professional world we live in, it's demeaning, even for a man. I asked her to call her husband, but I could tell it bothered her and to me it was extremely unprofessional to represent ATT in Mount Shasta. I just wanted to see my bill or be able to access this bill to see what my charges were and if at all I got any credit for the phone I turned in or the Iphone 13. At this point, I had lost a lot of business time and energy on this, but asked her if I could come down to the store that following Thursday for a 3rd time to access my account. She said ok, but was rude about it, like it was my fault? I had tried to call her back to confirm the appointment and I was blocked. Two days later, I got a call from Charlie in the Redding office of ATT, he said he was a new employee there. I asked him how I could see my bills? He told me because my account was set up at (MYEMAIL@ATT.NET) I asked him,"Why would you do that? Of course I would never see my bill that way?" Like they are trying to become their own Gmail account? He told me he would help me get it changed and changed the subject as much as possible. He wanted me to log into an ATT account, but at that point I told him to just change it to my emails I had given, I had never authorized the @Att.net account? He refused and when I mentioned the demeaning comments Deb the store owner was making to me, he quit communicating with me. I then went up to Verizon in Yreka, California and their store employee, Jonathon said; "Here let me help you, have you downloaded the ATT app, that's an easy fix." In 10 minutes working together, I accessed my account on ATT and the problem was fixed. I tipped him $20 and thanked him profusely for what I had been through before and the countless time lost. I saw I was never given any other credits like they were advertising with Lily on ATT commercials. The owner & employees need training, take stupid sign down. I saw I was never given any other credits like they were advertising with Lily on ATT commercials, you know, the one with the looly Pops? I have a bill for $1008 outstanding. Head up to Yreka to do business with Verizon. Ask for Jonathon, he's a gem. read more
