The staff is not fully trained and aware of shaping a straw hat evident as the young lady tried to to bend by hand without steaming. Wearing a hat for 50 years that's 101. She started to crease the hat and misshape it. I offered guidance by showing the nice young lady the steps to shape the hat. The elderly manager on duty demanded that I step away from the section where the steamer was located of which i had no intention of using. I tried to explain that the process being used would damage to the hat. Unfortunately the manager came across as disconcerning and lack of knowledge.
