Got talked into this kyocera smart phone and that I HAD to go on their plan first and be on it 30 days before I could switch to prepay. Went with what they said, me being a first time buyer figured they knew what would work. 30 days goes by, went in there this Saturday, paid off the phone, switched over to prepay, fine. 2 HOURS LATER THE PHONE DIES!! just shut off and would not turn on. Went back to the store, was there for 3 HOURS just to be told the warranty is void because I switched to prepay??? After arguing that I just spent $715.00 there in the last month you aren't going to help me, I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't work? Their response - "yep" and walked away. Our family has been customers of AT&T for years. We…read morerecently updated our phones at the Marquette store and in doing so I purchased an AT&T "Lifetime Guarantee" screen protector for $40.00 which was installed before we left the store. Within two weeks it was cracked and life being what it is wasn't a top priority so I wasn't too concerned about getting it immediately replaced. Over the next several months I stopped in several times and they were always out of stock. Finally, yesterday I stopped in and they had some on the display rack. I had my original receipt and the box that the cracked one came in so I removed a new one from the display rack and stood in line at the counter for 10 minutes waiting my turn. When I was called up to the counter I explained the situation and handed over my receipt for the damaged screen protector, along with the replacement that I had removed from the display rack. At the end of my explanation, the employee said, "you have to do that online, we don't do exchanges in the store." I explained that I bought it there in that store and showed him on the box where it stated it could be exchanged at the store to which he replied. "Not at this store you have to do it online" ..... even though I was literally standing there with a replacement screen in my hand and would not make the exchange. So..more inconvenience and wasted time of going online, filling out forms, and waiting for a replacement screen to come in the mail. I am still shaking my head. To be clear, I am not blaming the employee, as the staff there are normally friendly and very helpful, he was simply following store policy. That being said, I try to shop local but it's episodes like this that make me wonder why I do. Verizon here we come.....

After being told my phone would need a factory reboot (Samsung...wipes your phone) or a network reboot (Spectrum...not so invasive) by the AI help lines,I walked into the Marquette Spectrum store looking for a friendly face and found Lucas. He was friendly, helpful and informative. In short order he had the gunk cleaned out of the speakers which was causing me not to be able to hear. For good measure he discovered my very cracked screen was protector I had forgotten about and even though the screen did have a small Crack it was manageable. Lastly Lucas and everyone was friendly and kind to a technologically challenge senior and even offered some tips for dealing with the AI phone line. My sincere thanks to Lucas for helping me out.

I know you can't pick your service representative, but Brooke is truly among the best! I walked into the store and was greeted with a warm welcome and a smiling face. After looking at all the phones, Brooke approached me. She told me about the current offers available as well as the pros and cons of each phone I was looking at and was patient while I was making my decision. I ended up getting the Samsung S7. I asked her about transferring my contacts over and she did better. She was able to transfer all my contacts, photos, videos, settings, wallpaper, literally everything from my old phone on to my new one in minutes. After everything was transferred to my satisfaction, Brooke explained that I could get $240 for my old phone if I restore to factory settings (which she did for me) and trade it in. Between the current deal and trading in my phone, I ended up getting the phone for free! I definitely recommend this store as it was clean and the staff was professional and personable. ***TIP*** If possible use the "popular times chart" on google to plan your visit. My family warned me that it is busy, but I went at 1000 and I was helped immediately.

There was a new girl there who immediately walked over to me. She asked what I was in for and when I told her I swear her eyes lite up... i immediately thought oh boy here comes the commissioned sales attempt... but no. She asked me what I had in mind and we sat down and she went over that product with me, never once trying to up sell. I knew about the product and she seemed happy I did my research before coming in. She got me exactly what I wanted and thanked me for my patronage. When I left I felt good but also ashamed that I doubted her integrity when we first staring talking phones. She knew her stuff and never tried to up sell, she had her customer's wants first! And honestly I hope this review can serve as a recompense for my doubt. This store is full of amazing people!
