While I completely appreciate the safety measure Lamar At&T, masks, gloves, social-distancing and limited customers in the store, I am HIGHLY disappointed in the service. I went in one afternoon with the intention of trading in my old phone for an upgrade. Unfortunately, the gentleman who approached me could not have been less interested in helping me. He rolled his eyes when I inquired if my phone had any trade-in value. When I asked about the differences in the plans for upgrades, he audible sighed and didn't answer my question. I should emphasize that the store was NOT at all crowded and there were no waiting customers. I left. Later my husband and I went back on another evening and found someone else to assist us. The friendliness factor was still desperately lacking. However, I was able to get questions answered and the associate did work to help make sure I was able to move all information from old phone to the new. While we were there, we observed a female employee working with other customers who was extremely friendly and courteous. I wish we could have been able to work with her. read more

I had the best experience at a business today that I've ever had in my life. Really cannot give all the details but the customer service was beyond believable. If I ever need anything AT&T I'll be coming here and wait if there is a line. It will be worth it. I witnessed multi layer management function to an excellent solution to a problem. Following my trail of buying my mom a new Go-Phone, brought me to this AT and T, after finally purchasing a phone at Wal-Mart. I have T-Mobile, and have had them for years. AT and T's Go-phones, (except for their $$$ iphones) are often older models, and sometimes the employees are blank on information. We purchased a smart phone-(3g, not the greatest camera. -"Avail" model.) It is similar to the first Mytouch. Wal-Mart said we were grandfathered in on the cost for the phone, nothing changed. It was only $59.99. Makes texting, calling, and adding to the contacts, easy. Wal-mart sent us to AT and T to trasnfer the account. I took my mom to AT and T with the phone, to transfer her information, and 7 contacts. The employee gladly transferred the account and 7 contacts. They went through how to use the phone so fast, even I hardly caught it. I drilled them on the data cost. ($10 extra per month, payable whenever, which I didn't get for the phone yet.) I was told I can go in and pay it, and then it will start. There is no extra charges cause I didn't get data on it. To upload pictures, you use the USB hub and a laptop. I have been waiting to ask a single question for 45 minutes- I just need to know how to prepay my phone and when I ask customer service representatives (that are not busy with anyone) they tell me that they're waiting on a customer to arrive that's in line online- it's ridiculous. read more

I drive 30 minutes just to come to this location! Adrian is always super helpful and patient and the manager, John, is the most educated and knowledgable staff member at any AT&T I've interacted with. I've had difficult situations every time I've came in that multiple other stores couldn't help with, and they figure it out every time! read more

I used to think this store, being corporate was the best. I always had great service until sept 24th this year. I had bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max on the 19th. By the 24th it was totally dead, and wouldn't take a charge. On the 25th, I took it in to the store, and the associate wasn't interested, since I had not purchased insurance. She told me to call Apple, or make an appointment with Best Buy Geek Squad. I didn't like the brush off, being a retired ATT employee, and a loyal customer since 1990. From now on, I'll purchase my Apple products from Apple directly. They are replacing my 5 day old phone, purchased brand new from this store. read more

I would give this store ZERO stars if I could. We have been lied to from the get go. Back in January we went into the store to look at an Iphone as AT& T was going to discontinue service to my 3G flip phone. We were quoted a price (which I wrote down, and have kept notes from every encounter there) by the manager. I'll be polite and not use names. If we agreed to a 30 month contract plus auto pay. I hesitated. Went back a couple of days later and made the committment. We have NEVER received the quoted sale price for the phone. A my husband is a Navy Vet, we were given military discount which was reversed because account was in my name and I am not the vet. Eventually my account was closed and new one opened in his name. We still haven't gotten the discount even though we faxed them a copy of the DD214. We have been double charged for service. Again the manager assured me he would take care of all our issues-he has NOT. AT& T has taken out $600.00 from our account in less than 3 months. I would stear clear of this store, these people and AT&T in general unless you have $$$ to throw around. read more

The sales person darren I think that was his name was horrible. He half ass explained a promotion and I decided to change my mind and not go through with it because he failed to tell me all the charges and extra fees I would have to pay until the end of our conversation. As soon as I told him I'm sorry I'm just going to upgrade my one phone and not do the promotion his attitude changed. He was ready for me leave and as soon as he finished he basically said bye and got up and left even though I was going to look at cases and screen protectors. I didn't feel welcome and he treated me like I was annoying him so I left the store and went and bought 3 cases and a few screen protectors from a different vendor. I will never step foot in that store again and I will tell anyone I know not to go to that store. Horrible customer service!!! read more

Went to upgrade 3 phones, spent well over 500 dollars, Brandon H. He was very aloof from the beginning did not seem to very helpful, went to get the phones for upgrade and assumed he new what we wanted, I had to ask him to hold on we wanted something different, then he was very condescending, He proceeded to tell me that he was a big black man and never was yelled at, I never yelled I just wanted what I wanted I was the consumer spending my money, needless to say Brandon H. Needs to go back to training on how to be a salesman and a customer service representative, shot looks at me the rest of the evening. Poor Brandon H. He has a lot to learn. I've been to this AT&T store twice now. Both times, the store reps have been unwilling to help with anything unrelated to sales. I'm aware of the new rule stating that reps cannot cancel lines. However, when I asked for help in calling (because I continue to be disconnected from customer support), the rep absolutely refused to help me. Furthermore, when I hung up with customer service, I told that same rep I'm new to Kansas City and I'm considering Directv/U-Verse services...Her entire demeanor changed. She was ALL OF A SUDDEN ready to help me out. I ended up telling her I'll call to set those services up, since she's so keen on that. read more

I recently purchased three I-Phone 5 phones from the AT&T store in Independence, MO. Initially the service was good as I was making a large purchase. During the purchase of the phones we discussed AT&T U-verse for my home and I purchased accessories including phone covers, car chargers, etc. I had some follow-up interaction related to the AT&T U-Verse product, but after asking a series of questions I never heard back from the salesperson. I assumed that there was no interest in selling the product so I thought I may pursue that online. I returned to the store 12-30-12 to return two of the products I purchased mainly because they took too long to arrive from the AT&T fulfillment center. I had a reciept and the unopened products. When I took the items to the AT&T store I could tell immediately this was going to be an issue. After a few minutes of the salesperson discussing my return with a manager who never appeared they could not allow a return on my product. That included no credit back to my card, no exchange for any other product or no possible store credit for a future purchase. The products were two car chargers that were never opened and sealed. One part of the issue was that I was past the 14 day return period which is humorous as the order took longer than that to fulfill. Regardless, of know being aware of the 14 day return policy I was surprised that they would not exchange the product or issue a store credit. Based on the manager's decision to not discuss this with us or authorize any options I will never return to the location to purchase products, services or accessories and I will not enroll in the AT&T U-Verse service through the Independence store, online or any other method. I am officially a former customer as soon as my service contract has expired on my phones I will also switch those. I did not feel I was unreasonable requesting some credit or exchange, but since I am not a valuable customer they have severed the relationship with me. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! read more
