We came in hoping to switch phone providers, our representative was great. our visit on Thursday at this location was of 6 hours, there was issues with porting lines, we come back the following day Friday and spent another 3 hours only to go back to our previous phone provider. my husband was still required to come in to this business which all these 3 days where an inconvience. we made unnecessary purchases, wasted a total of 11 hours in this location and never did the manager come out to help or support. we asked and called the manager and that coward never showed his face. Was also told there's fiber at our new place and there was not. A waste of time because customer service on the phone switched it for free, found an appointment for setup immediately and gave us a discount. I came here to port over my old number to a new phone I bought a couple of weeks ago. I ended up waiting almost an hour without seeing a representative. No one checked on me the entire time to apologize for the wait or tell me my position in the line. When I finally got to speak to a rep, I was told that I could not port over my old number to my new phone because I did not do it during the initial purchase. Doing so now would nullify the promotional deal on the phone. This was not what I was told by the rep that sold me the phone. A failure on their part. After speaking to AT&T loyalty department, I was told that the store manager could process a return of the phone and a refund. When I went in for my refund, I was told that it actually was possible to port over my number without losing my promotion. In the end, it took three trips to this store to finally get what I needed done. Something so simple was made very difficult. I know this issue is a reflection of larger issues within AT&T as a company, but things could have been handled better at this branch. read more

As I have experienced in the past, my iPhone started giving me problems so I had to upgrade. This store isn't far from my house, and I had been here a couple of times before, so I came in about 6pm on a Wednesday evening. The store was full with one person waiting before me. Overall, things were moving fast. My wait time was no more than 10 minutes, and Will was able to assist me. What I noticed about Will was that he was very friendly and professional. When we walked over to the phone choices, Will was extremely knowledgeable when it came to the different types of phones and the specials that AT&T were running on each phone. I was like "WOW." This was the first time I had ever experienced a sales associate so knowledgeable of the product. I made my selection and began the checkout process. I wasn't sure about transferring my information from my old phone to my new one, so Will was able to assist with that too. Having had my new phone for about two weeks now, I can honestly say that I am happy with my selection thanks to Will's knowledge of the products and specials. If you are looking for a friendly, professional and knowledgeable sales associate, please ask for Will. read more

Can Yelp PLEASE allow us to give zero stars for places that give zero F%4ks about customers? I just spent my entire DAY trying to figure out what I am going to do about Internet and FINALLY found a good deal. The representative even built the cart for me to just check out because I had so many issues trying to do so on my computer. I thought I was good...until I hadn't received a confirmation of my order after an hour. Luckily, I had saved the order confirmation number and googled AT&T order status and found out that my order was CANCELLED! Now, I figured that maybe the store sold out of hotspots just as soon as I ordered. I was accepting of that reality, so I called the store. Told the representative on the phone my issue and he tells me that the store has NOTHING to do with cancellations. I call BS in my head, but I ask for the customer service number. The rep asks me where I live--why not go to the store nearest me...I calmly explain that the store nearest me did not have the device. I was driving to their store because they supposedly had the item in stock. He finally understood then and decided to give me the customer service number. By this time though, I'm not accepting nor understanding of anything...I want answers and resolution. I not only call the customer service number, I get online with the chat as well at the same time. Chat tells me order was cancelled and I would have to make ANOTHER order just to get the device sent to me. NO--not the answer I'm looking for AT&T. I'm on the phone and talk to a rep who tells me the STORE cancelled the order because they didn't have any in stock. FUMING MAD NOW! Because I really needed the device versus pissing someone else off as much as I am, I ask if my credit has to be run again to make a new order. I'm told yes. AT&T, Really?! I just made this order. I ask for a manager at this point to intervene. 5 minute wait on my phone and I'm told they can't doing anything but create a new order after they run my credit again. A moment of silence because I just read in my devotion that you should be careful with your words. I have had my share of problems with AT&T in the past, which is why I have been delayed with attempting business with them, but this, THIS foolishness will make me risk it all to do business with anyone but AT&T. Instead of cursing the poor representative out for this store's negligence and laziness, I tell her that they need to deal with the Meyerland store because they're the cause of not having a new customer with AT&T. Do not go here. Do not trust anything ATT tells you! I went to this store to have them explain their sale promotion to me so that there would not be any misunderstanding about whether or not my phone was qualified for their phone promotion. Two experience sales associates look at my phone and put the information into their tablet and show me the result that said I was qualified for their $800 promotion. The knew my phone had a little cracked and saw the condition of my working phone before they did their trade in. Even after I got the trade in paper with the value of $5, they said since this was a Samsung, under the April promotion this would qualified for the $ 800 promotion. I verified it on two different occasions and with 2 different associates before they persuaded me buy a $1200 phone. They help me transferred my data from my old phone to my new Samsung and said just wait for the credit to apply once they shipped in my old phone. A couple of weeks later,I get a text msg saying that I was not qualified for the promotion. When I call multiple times, the agents on the phone gave me the run around and said that they didn't get my phone and told me to visit the Meyerland store to ask them what the problem was since they were the one to send in my phone. I came there to talk to the manager, who reviewed my information and said he didn't know why I didnt get my credit. He then proceeded to email the warehouse that received my phone. He then told me to go home and wait for his update. He called me a couple. of days later and said wait for my credits to be apply to my bills. A week later, I called the manager and left a message for a call back about the missing credit, I never got a call back. So I called ATT back, the agent connected me to the manager, who now said I needed to do a clarity case. She created a clarity case and said I should hear back from them in 3 days. A week later, I still heard nothing back. I called ATT back again, talked to another manager/supervisor who finally told me that I was not qualified for any promotion. There was nothing they could do about this situation even though their official SALES AGENT from there store are telling people they are qualified for the sales promotion. DO NOT TRUST ATT. They will tell you your phone is qualified for the promotion, so that you will buy a FULL price phone with them. They will take your working phone and then refused to give you your promotion credit with some line About how your phone was not qualified and about how there was some hidden fine print somewhere on there website. Why didn't there employees mention the fine print? If it was not qualified, why take my phone? SHAME on you, ATT, for Frauding people with your shady sales tactic and teaching your sales agent to LIES to customers and then wait till it past the times to return the new phone to say that the customer phones was not qualified for the promotion. Frauding people out of $1200 may be nothing to big corporations like ATT, but it's a lot of money to normal people who work hard and honestly to feed their family. read more

THE WORST STORE EVER!!! The technician has no freaken clue what is going one!!! We signed up for the "Buy One Get One (BOGO)" promotion. However, we could only take ONE phone home. After using it for 3 days, the guy told me that he could NOT add the other phone into our account due to a technical problem. So we had to return the phone...Moreover, he fucked up our account so badly that we had to create a brand new account since the old one is no longer active. More importantly, when we picked a new #, he registered a different one which is really fucked-up to remember!!! P/S: the trip to the store took us 5 hours...3 days later...2nd trip took another 2 hours. Nothing got done!!! read more

There needs to be more people rating this store. I should be a valued customer, having bought my TV service, internet, phone, and wireless plan through this company/store. But I have been treated less than second rate. First time I came in, I was greeted, and given a number. The first salesman got me set up with my new iPhone 6, and started a wireless plan for me. Then he was quick to move me out, forgetting that I wanted the UVerse TV package and internet... As a salesman myself, whom handles way more clients and several hundred accounts throughout the city, this employee was extremely unprofessional and probably losing AT&T a lot of money because he probably wasn't properly trained and/or just a bad salesman. He has a problem logging onto the site to continue setting me up... like 35 minutes time of a problem logging onto the site. He's on the phone with Support for almost an hour. I've been in this store for almost 3 hours! Eventually he tells me that he will take care of it, and I can just go home and he would follow up with me. He never followed up with me. Few days later, the gentleman comes to install my new modem and UVerse box. He, by far was the most professional and capable person I had come across with since dealing with AT&T. He installs it and leaves. Everything looks OK... Except after a few minutes of browsing, I realize he didn't set up the HBO or Cinemax, nor did he get me HD... So everything I asked for when it came to the UVerse, the salesman never set up. So I call AT&T, there is nothing they can do for me as far as what the salesman at the store had promised me. I wait for my new iPhone to arrive so I can have them help me cancel my previous service with T-Mobile and set up my new phone. The next day, of course I had to wait even longer. The same salesman is having trouble again logging into the website with another customer... I wait an hour... and then I wait another hour. I finally let the nice lady giving people numbers to wait in line know that I will take any salesman, as long as I can get set up. So I get this guy, and he asks me how I'm doing, I tell him that I had been waiting for 2 hours and he automatically interrupts me and says "You aren't the only one waiting".... Now how is that a good response to a customer? I dismiss his response because I just want to get this experience over with and done correctly. He does his job (or so I think) and gets me the right UVerse package and helps me set up my phone. Fast forward to today. I get a bill with an a phone number I'm not familiar with and a balance, including a past due balance of over $200. I call customer service, and they cannot figure out why this number with this balance exists. And my worse case scenario answer comes up, "I'm sorry sir, but you need to go back to that store and figure it out". SO, here I go, probably wasting another 4 hours of my life, in that store, trying to figure out who screwed up what. I want you to know, personally, that I have never written a bad review on Yelp before, as a member of Yelp for 2 years, until now. I have lost money, time, resources, and patience with this store and the company. I am a very patient person, whom tries his best to be understanding about situations when it comes to customer service. But this has gone too far, and I feel that AT&T needs to make it right. read more

I'm a long time AT&T customer and currently have 6 phones on one plan. Three of those phones belong to my children so we are constantly breaking phones. I have always been greeted by a sales person right away and have never had a bad experience with any of them. I always just walk in but since I'm walking in with out an appointment I expect to wait. The longest I've waited is 10 minutes before being helped but I don't mind it gives me a chance to look around. I've never felt rushed not even the one time I was upgrading four phones that took over an hour before. I will continue to use this store and just like today I'm sure I'll leave happy. read more

This store use to have great customer service. Not anymore. I went today to get a new phone and from the beginning the guy didn't want to help me. He was very unhelpful, not answering my questions or giving me any options. They didn't have the phone he said, but didn't say let's order it. I asked him: can we order and he said sure but it will take very long. Like he didn't want to do the sale. Then I asked if they could transfer the data, they say they don't have the machines anymore. Whatt! I just came from T-Mobile on Bellaire Blvd with my employee. They were so nice, looked for options for her, transfer her data, ordered what they didn't have, went out of their way. Etc. Now I see why some people are switching to T mobile. And what she ordered will arrive on 1 week, here will take 2 weeks...I told him that customer service has gone down, and he just shake his head down!!! No apology or nothing... poor people. Beware MAKE A ONLINE APPOINTEMENT I wish I can give no stars My second time here waiting over 40 minutes both times 1st time no reservation I just walked in , after 40 minutes they told me they can not help me because the iPad is not on my name what is just nonsense I both the iPad for my wife 2nd time try to call but nobody answered the phone, so I walked in after wait 40 minutes they took other costumer because they made appointment online . 10 minutes later they finally called me. UPDATE: I had already made the decision to leave AT&T when my contract expired ... but with all those offers from the competition (which included paying any early termination fees), the move was accelerated. I'd been with every version of what is now AT&T since 1994, and had experienced a steady and precipitous decline in customer service, especially over the past couple of years. It was just time to move on. It's been just over a year, and my new carrier (don't want to plug them here, but the name begins with a T) has performed flawlessly. I've had a couple of minor issues, but they've been handled promptly and courteously. I'm treated as a valued customer, which is what it's all about in the first place. read more

After over a 30 minute wait for service and 2 plus hours with the rep, they couldn't switch over my phone from Sprint. They wouldn't let me make my upgrade purchase with a $35 restocking fee on a new phone so that I can activate it via phone myself, or turn in my old phone for credit. So basically my three hours turns into me just hanging out at the store and waste of my Monday night. There is no way I'm coming back to this location. I hope the other location is not like this. A week ago I contacted ATT through chat because my internet doesn't seem to work unless I'm on WiFi mostly just when I'm at home and nobody else in my house is having the issue. The rep reset my SIM card but I still continued to have the issue. I got back in chat and they told me they could either send me a new SIM or I could go to the store and get it replaced free of charge. Since I don't know how to remove a SIM on an iPhone I told them I would go to the store and she notes the account to run diagnostic testing to make sure there were no other issues with my phone as well as replace the SIM at no charge. When I got to the store James helped me. I told him the issue I was having and first thing he did was disconnect me from WiFi and said well of course when you come to the store it's going to work. I told him it mostly just happens at home but sometimes it happens when I'm elsewhere. So he changed out my SIM and tried to charge me for it and I said ummm no the rep I talked to said it was free of charge and it should be noted in the account. He actually went into the account to find the note to waive $5 -____- but he didn't run the diagnostic testing after I mentioned it several times. I honestly felt so rushed and that I was a burden and he just wanted to get me out the store to handle other customers who were having bigger issues than I was. The sheriff at the location even seemed bothered. When I left he got up to open the door for me and I said thank you but you didn't have to get up just to open the door for me with a smile on my face. He just gave me resting bitch face and said have a good day... like okay... do y'all not smile here? Do y'all hate your jobs? The people who work at this location are complete a-holes. Twice I've been here- Once when I was having issues with my phone, and the other time to purchase the latest iPhone (I'm one of those people, okay?). The first time, the guy spoke down to me and basically said he couldn't help. He walked away and moved back to doing what he was before, which was nothing. When this happened, I ended up going to the location off of 59 in-between Weslayan and Buffalo (Greenway location?). There, I was greeted immediately, and that person was able to solve my problem. The second time, which was a few weeks ago, I came in to renew my contract and get a new phone. The Greenway location ran out, so I thought maybe my bad experience was just a one time thing. Guy comes up to me, clearly annoyed, as if I ruined his day by being born and going to AT&T 20+ years later. I was told I couldn't renew my contract, because AT&T was no longer doing that. He then started explaining the new Next program . Since this is a new system, I obviously had questions. This guy...this complete and utter jerk, started rolling his eyes at me and talking down to me. If I said I didn't quite understand something, he would say the exact same thing only more slowly and with obvious irritation. Hey, guy! I heard what you said, I just didn't comprehend it! Eventually I said I had enough and left. He told me that if I didn't buy the iPhone now and waited, I wouldn't be able to get another one until after Christmas. Whatever, I'll take my chances! Thus, I called AT&T, and hey, they told me I could renew my 2 year contract online! It's not something you can do at any retail location and is only offered online. The sales rep on the phone even broke down the cost per month for Next versus the 2 year contract, and it turns out I save more with a contract! Hurray! She walked me through ordering my new phone online and renewing my contract (which was super easy. Didn't need her help, but I truly appreciated it). Also, I was able to get the exact color phone I wanted, which was sold out in Meyerland. To top it off, the ship date said November 19th, which was a bummer, but then it ended up shipping the very next day- OVERNIGHT! Moral of the story: If you need a new phone, renewal, whatever, either go to the Greenway location, call AT&T, or do it online. You'll only leave Meyerland feeling terrible about yourself. read more

Went in the store to swap out my phone case under my warranty. The greeter at the door told me that they could not do it and to go through the manufacturer. I have swapped this case previously at another location. So she rudely told me I can sign you in so that they can tell you the same thing. I patiently waited for about 20 minutes. He tried to tell me the same thing as she told me but I explained to him that I have done it before. So then he asks for my information and then asked to see the case and said he cannot exchange it because it was damaged. If I am not wrong I thought that was the purpose of a warranty. I left and went to another att store. Not only did they not have my case at the location, they gave me another case that looks way better. She quoted, "This is cuter anyway." That's what you define great customer service as. Unlike this location in Meyer land that completely wasted my time. Don't waste your time at this location I wish there were 0 stars because I would definitely give them that. read more

Really great customer service. All the people griping that they had to wait, should probably think about what day and time they're going there. From staff all the way to manager, they could care less about your issues. Just by talking to them, they apparently don't want to be there. Which makes me wonder who hired these individuals. I will never be returning to this location after the horrible customer I received here. Last November, my contract expired for my iPhone 4S, so I went into this store looking for an upgrade. After waiting for almost an hour, I was finally helped by Devonte, who convinced me to buy the iPhone 5C rather than the iPhone 5S. He assured me that the only difference between my old phone and the 5C was that the 5C had a faster processor, and that it came in different colors. I specifically asked him if this phone would have the same amount of memory, to which he replied that it would. After agreeing to this contract, I discovered that he lied, and that my phone only has 5GB of usable memory, and it automatically deleted photos and music when it reached its max. I returned today (now April of the next year) and wished to purchase a new phone and upgrade my contract, as I had been told my an Apple representative that he had falsely advertised this product. Not only did he not admit to his mistake, Devonte was very uncooperative in helping us change our plan, and did not offer any feasible solutions to our issue. Now, I am forced to either pay an almost $300 cancelation fee, or continue to pay for a phone that it almost unusable for another year and a half. I can safely say that my family will never return to this location, and will likely change providers after this. AT&T can say goodbye to a family of loyal, 17-year customers. read more

Three weeks ago I went into the Meyerland store and signed up to bundle my services(land line, internet, cellular and TV-U Verse). For some unknown reason, my land line service has been off for two weeks, no internet and I work form home periodically. The service was scheduled for installation on 8/17/13, from 2-4pm. Of course the installer call at 3:45 to inform me that he was "en route" to my home. There was some trouble with the line, and the installation didn't happen...they offered to reschedule Monday, 8/26/13-great I work during the week, and accepted an installation date of 8/31/13, and was specifically told, the install would occur between 9-11 am on Saturday. I phoned today just to verify the time and date, and guess what: Installation can only be done between 2-4PM! What happened to the good old Ma Bell customer service, and not to mention I've been without the ability to use my land line and internet for more than two weeks-and my alarm system works through my land line. If there was another vender available in Houston, I would tell AT&T to take their equipment and....and of course there will be no compensation for the time I've been without service! read more
