This is the worst AT&T store I've ever visited! The employees lie to you about discounts and specials to encourage you to upgrade; when you get your bill you see all of the hidden fees they failed to mention. On two occasions when attempting to upgrade I've been lied to by workers (even when clarifying / asking if they are hidden fees). They are also clearly understaffed -- be prepared to wait. read more

I went in to get a phone ofc lol! The staff was polite and working fast. Chance was very nice and helpful to me. I'd recommend this store.

DO RUN -- This Place is a Scam Disguised as an AT&T Store If I could leave NEGATIVE stars, I would. This Champions AT&T location is an absolute disgrace and should be avoided at all costs. It's not even a real AT&T store -- it's an authorized dealer, which they conveniently fail to mention up front until your entire service is ruined beyond repair. We came in to port over three lines from T-Mobile. Simple enough, right? Wrong. They completely botched the process and canceled the entire port without our consent. As a result, we lost ALL of our phone numbers -- numbers we've had for years -- and were left without any service. No calls, no texts, nothing. We were completely cut off from the world. When we went back to get help, the employees were unbelievably dismissive and rude. We asked if we could use their store phone to call AT&T since we had no service -- and they refused. Their solution? "Just call AT&T." How?! Our phones had no signal because of what THEY did. And apparently, the only person who could fix anything was Joseline -- and of course, she was never there when we came back. But wait -- it gets worse. They also sold us AT&T's internet wireless service. They told us it would arrive by Tuesday. LIE. It didn't show up until Thursday, days late. And when it finally arrived, it didn't even work. That's right -- they managed to mess up both our wireless and internet service in one visit. We've now been without phones, without internet, and without a single helpful employee to take any responsibility. They didn't just waste our time -- they caused serious damage. This store is the definition of unprofessional. They don't stock anything, they don't help with anything, and they lie through their teeth just to make a sale. If you value your phone number, your service, your time, your internet, or your sanity -- STAY AWAY from this location. Do yourself a favor and go to a real corporate AT&T store. I ordered a phone from the website and was advised that that I could pick it up at this location. They even promoted that curbside pickup was available. When I went to the store to pick up my phone which had already been paid for the only woman in the store on duty could not find it. She thought she might have found it but even with my order number she wasn't sure it was my phone. What transpired next was a series of phone calls to her boss I think in an effort to find my phone. Even being told to open the safe didn't result in a phone for me. This went on for at least 45 minutes and I didn't feel like I was getting any closer to picking up my purchase so I walked out and bought a phone at another carrier's location. The real problem was a manager leaving this inexperienced employee alone in the store. My advice is avoid AT&T and find better service and cheaper prices with another carrier. read more

Had problems in the past with this store not having the right Sim card available...but had a great experience today. I needed to have my daughter's info transferred from her Galaxy S5 to a S7. We were rudely turned away at a nearby At&T store on 249 & 1960. The employee was fantastic. She started the transfer for my daughter and, while waiting for the phone to update, she checked our account. She realized we were on an older kind of account and upgraded us to unlimited data, 30 channels of TV and it saved us almost $110 a month on our bill. I see a lot of negative reviews here - people might want to give this location another chance. I was so happy with the service I ended up buying myself a new phone. read more

I would not believe anything anyone in this store tells me if their tongues came notarized. I am paying double for my new phone and service. They added a insurance plan I was never told about. I would have known I was being lied to if they gave me a copy of my contract or let me see what they were entering. But conveniently, they did not. They are nice and helpful until there is an issue and don't even think of taking an AT&T phone in for help if you did not buy it from them. You lied and scammed me once, never again. Went there to buy a case for my phone using their corporate coupon, they said they couldn't do it although their address is listed as a store that takes them. I drive 10 minutes out for another store to tell me that they were being lazy and that they CAN do it!!!!!!! Even if they didn't know how they have a number to call at!!!! You want to know why there is always a long line at the Apple store?... because people have been to AT&T before and remember what it was like. Zero stars are not allowed on Yelp or this locations score would be lower... THIS Location: I was sent to this store location (Champions 1960) from the Kuykendahl and Loretta location and said they had the iPhone I wanted and were not open until 9. I got there at 9:15, only two employees. While they were going through the routine, the manager (I assume) walks in and says ah... you are the first customer of the day", and walks into the back room. Female employee had already located the phone in system and taken my drivers license and info while the larger guy remained seated watching. She went back into the back room. Came out after a while with some other little phone and said the one I wanted was no longer available. I bet that guy was back who came in late was already programming HIS new iPhone while I was still in the store. I asked her if this is what happened and she said "Yes". I know for a fact that AT&T employees are not allowed to tell the truth at any time, especially to a customer! Backstory: I called the day before launch at a different location to see if they thought the line would be long. They laughed and said never had a line. Open at 9AM. So I went there the next day to find it was already open long before 9:00AM. The District manager asked one of the employees why there was no sign in on the door that they open early at 8AM. He said he took it down. This is at 8:25. It never was there. That location was allotted 3 decent new iPhones (most of these strip mall stores only are given 1 or none on launch day). 2 of the phones were already on the floor to other customers. The guy couldn't find the third one, even though it was in the computer system. He went back and forth a few times talking to each of the other 3 employees, then after 15 or so minutes came back to me and said he couldn't find it. I bet if you go in there tomorrow, or even this afternoon, you can find his (my) new iPhone in his pocket! I'm sure they might file a rebuttal to this post that this is not true but the new ones are not shipped until Sep. 28th 2018. Go in there and see if he (District manager over 7 or so stores I think) or one of the employees already has one. All of these ratings for one star are being kind. Horrible customer service. My husband waited 15 mins to be helped, I even had time to go next door & chit chat with my friend at her job, thinking he was being helped this whole time. He calls me 15 mins later deciding to leave , no one even took the time to find out why we were there in the first place. FYI his phone is seriously damaged, we were going to buy a new IPhone today. I apologize for the long review, but I have some things that need to be said. I'm a college kid who pays for his own stuff; my grandma has always been there for me. When I came out and my parents weren't supportive, she was there. Whenever I needed help, or advice, she was there. Mind you, the woman is nearly 80. I work at an Apple retail location (for 3 years), and wanted to hook her up with a new iPhone 7. She had a 4s previously that she bought for 1$ under contract in 2014 (thanks ATT). She takes photos, uses apps, texts people, etc. So, for Christmas I bought my grandma an iPhone 7. I made a backup of her 4s on iTunes, transferred everything, downloaded some new apps, set up siri and touchID, moved her texts/photos over, and set a custom background picture of a flower she took in Hawaii. I also took the time to show her new features, since she was already familiar with the basic function. The only thing I couldn't do is get her number transferred from the 4s to the 7. (Different sim cards). At my store, this would take 10 minutes; at ATT it should take 6 minutes. (to swap the SIM card, and update the device IMEI on the account.). (note: an IMEI is a device identifier that let's your carrier know what model you have. I.E., if you had a 4 and got a 7 and didn't update it... ATT wouldn't know that you have an LTE phone. So, you need to update your IMEI occasionally to properly receive the best speed/plan/coverage from your carrier) So, I set my grandma up with an awesome phone, with one catch- she had to go to an ATT store today to get her number transferred. I told her that all she had to do was walk in, get help, and say "I got this for christmas yesterday but need my number transferred to it/get it activated". Well, lo and behold, it took this Authorized Re-Seller TWO HOURS to get the device activated. Here's the story from my grandma: "They said machine wouldn't transfer but it really did. Don't ask me-- I read my book while I waited". After probing further, I found out that my grandma was told "the machine" would activate/set up/transfer stuff for her, and she had to wait. Mind you, I'd already spent time setting it up and transferring everything via iTunes. After expressing my apologies, she said "Wish you could have gone with me too. They had to cut a SIM card to fit." My take, with insider knowledge- 1. The device (A celebrite) that we use at the Apple store is the same as ATT. My grandma had about 700 photos, 20 videos, and maybe 200 contacts. Normally it would take about 20 minutes to transfer all that information via a Celebrite. Assuming positive intent... they might have had other devices queued to transfer info, but she didn't need it in the first place. Or, maybe they were just lazy and put her phone on the backburner. 2. My grandma didn't need info transferred, she just needed a new sim card activated with her phone number. If I looked at a customers phone when they walked in and saw 2 years worth of texts, photos, a custom background, and downloaded apps... I would assume that info was already transferred from an old device. Only the "no service" notification at the top left would stand out to me. 3. Two hours? My poor grandma, too nice and uninformed to think that 2 hours is a long time, sat in her car reading a book. For two hours. 4. You don't carry nano sims at this store? You had to cut a sim? If you just cut the sim, why didn't you just cut her micro sim from her 4s and update the IMEI on her account? My final words of advice: avoid this authorized re-seller. They turned an awesome gift into a shitty experience; I was livid when I found out my grandma waited 2 hours to get her phone activated. You need to educate employees on probing+basic problem solving, and not just ignoring people because they aren't buying anything. This was a fairly basic task that somehow took 2 hours from a poor lady who was clearly taken advantage of... either through negligence or malice. read more

Surprise surprise service still sucks and I watched one of the employees be rude to the table next to me then come over and be rude to my dad and bicker with him .... I cut that off ... management needs to give these employees a swift kick in the butt. Oh and they do NOT great you when you come in the store or introduce themselves when they "assist" you. i went to the store on new years eve and was amazed by how helpful Mariam Hussain was. she helped us to get an upgrade and explained everything in ways i could understand. i would absolutely refer anyone to the store at 5503 fm 1960 w and would tell them to speak to mariam. you will not be disappointed. she definitely made my new year a lot better. thank you so much read more

I give this store zero stars but Yelp requires you at least give it a one. I went in today to buy a phone and take advantage of a deal they were offering after they told me over the phone last night that they were having. There was one friendly employee working with a customer. Shortly thereafter two more customers came in. Still working with the first customer, he left that guy and started helping a customer that came in after me.I did say something to no avail. That lady left and it turned out she went outside and started visiting with a man who turned out to be an employee from the store. Several minutes passed. That employee was suppose to be in the store working, and the employee working had to go outside and yell at him several times to come in. Once that employee finally came inside he started to help me. Well guess what? No deal being offered!!! I have been in this store when it opened and it was great but not anymore. I do not recommend this store at all!!! Never again. read more
