I had two phones upgraded at this store and both were supposed to have promotions applied, but neither were applied to my phone bill. I went back to the store later and the manager said it was because my phone was on a grandfathered plan that wasn't eligible, but I was never made aware of it by the sales associates. The manager at the store has absolutely no authority to make things right even though the sales associate admitted that it was his first month and he was poorly trained on the promotion and didn't know until a month later that the promotion would only be applied to new plans. I appreciated the accountability of the sales associate who admitted his part in the issue which is why I gave the store more than one star. I was not impressed with how the manager handled the issue. I know he didn't have authority, but when you are in customer service you hear out the issue and you give empathy. In an ideal world you get on a phone and make it right. Which is what I had to do - 5+ hours later on hold with AT&T support (Note: This is something the manager could have done himself with me in the store) and I finally got it settled. I'm generally happy with the cell phone service itself and the plan, but the customer service and hoops almost made me switch carriers - which is still a possibility going forward. Like another reviewer all the blame isn't on the store - a lot of it had to do with corporate - and maybe it wasn't the manager's best day, but all in all I wasn't impressed. read more

Updating review....I want to make clear that my primary issue is with AT&T's deceptive advertising, and not the two men who tried to help me. I want to save someone else from signing up for the 55+ plan thinking that he will get a new phone and free internet. Neither are true. Apparently, the 55+ plan used to include a new phone, but it no longer does. There is a discount for the internet service, but it is not free. Once a customer activates the Internet device, he will soon after receive a notice that the Internet service bill will be due soon! I was able to return the device by working with the AT &T rep at the Delta Waters store. read more

Zach at the ATnT Ashland was extremely helpful and personable in problem solving glitches i'm having with my phone. He persevered til he found relevant information. I'm in a group plan with a different carrier and he gave me good information about ATnT and encouragement to have the manager of my group come in and discuss options and pricing. Went in today and dealt with a capable and on the ball young man named David Mangiardi. Important to name salespeople who give exemplary customer service. I have used prepaid for years and I wanted to continue but they had limited viable options for prepaid, so I said to heck with it and got myself a brand new iPhone 11 with all the options. David could not have been more knowledgeable or helpful. Got me squared away in about a half hour, went through new numbers manually for me to find me the best possible line for my needs (I wanted a 310 or 503 number, Portland or L.A., but ended up settling for a local one) and most importantly he got me the price I wanted. I'm impressed that AT&T is hiring smart and effective salespeople. They used to seem disinterested. 4/5 and will be a long term customer. read more

Horrible customer service! There were two employees having a belching contest in the back room, one was the "manager". The associate I was working with applied my screen protector badly- not following the package instructions. About five days later I called in to see if they could send me a new one as it had bubbled horribly. They immediately got defensive and started acting as though I was attacking their employee. The associate swore on the phone and was reluctant to answer questions I had regarding what it was that I could do, given that they never gave me a receipt upon the initial purchase. I went into my local at&t store, and they had said that the location I was dealing with was privately owned and have their own standards. Clearly the owner is a disrespectful human, especially if he employees associates that reflect him in this way. DON'T RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. Go elsewhere. read more

Over the years, I've used the AT&T store for purchasing new phones and troubleshooting. The last two times, I've gotten the same young man, Thomas. The first time I met Thomas he was visibly impatient and judgemental. He appeared to be one of those younger persons who is very annoyed and frustrated by older people and treated me as if I was and idiot who knew nothing about techology or phones. He even judgementally commented, " You sure do have a lot off apps on your phone!". Back again as a support person for my friend who's home burned to the ground in the Alameda Fire. He had suggested a phone to my friend when she called earlier. We asked to see it. We couldn't because he had none on display and he couldn't open the box on the single one he had in stock. Via a picture on internet, he talked about the phone's features. He mentioned 5G capabilities and I told my friend she didn't really need a 5G compatible phone. Well, those words launched Thomas into a diatribe: "Well, if Ashland didn't have to protest about everything!" And " Your townspeople .." who come in here and complain ... he was launching into a critique of his judgements on Ashlanders. Highly inappropriate. My friend finally said " my house just burned down. I just want a phone." Thomas acknowledged that and moved on. I left and to his credit, he provided my friend with good service and they had a positive experience. read more

The at&t president themself called me about my overdue bill I suspect this crew is part of the incel rebellion. This place is a damn joke. Honestly every time I've gone in here to talk about the services I pay for, I've been pushed off and told things like "we don't carry that" or "we can't do that here" when I know damn well they can. There is often one bored looking dude here acting like anyone who comes through those doors is literally ruining his day by being there and a girl that has come out from the back pissed off to have to work. I went in a few months ago with the intention of buying a smart watch or fitbit from them and they actually told me they didn't "know anything about them" and that they "couldn't help (me)" Today, however, took the cake. My brother has been on my account for about a year now, he lives in Ashland and I live in Medford and he just goes in there monthly to pay his portion of the bill by cash. We've literally been doing this for over a year now and today they told him that he "couldn't" do that, that they couldn't "bring up anyone else's account". What? He waited for a very long time to pay his bill and they denied him. I'm very angry about this, will be arranging other ways to have him pay his portion, and you better believe your store manager, the district manager, and the damn CEO of ATT is going to get an earful. read more

I went into the store and Jarred the store manger was the person who took care of us we could not be happier. Last time we were there the customer service was in a word stressed !! However maybe the woman who helped us was having a bad day , but customer service is the name game in retail and the store manger must have learned that lesson well his service and easy way was refreshing :) read more

Today could have been one of those challenging frustrating days where nothing was going right. But thanks to a young man named Thomas Crawford who works for ATT at the Central Point store, but covering the Ashland store today by himself, the day became manageable. He was grace under fire with five customers descending upon him at once. He was calm, polite, knowledgable, helpful and even saved many of us a few dollars here and there. My phone wouldn't hold a charge, another customer lost his phone, while another needed a charger, and yet another didn't know what she wanted at all. Thomas, without giving into the demands of what could have been an incredibly stressful situation, addressed all of our needs. And due to his calm demeanor everyone else stayed calm and waited patiently. Customers even struck up conversation with appropriate masks and social distancing. This guy is an extremely valuable employee and deserves recognition. Thank you Thomas Crawford. read more

Wanted to shop local, but after spending half an hour here, decided to just make the trip up to Medford to buy my new phone, change my plan and unlock a phone. Service here started with one person not knowing much about the products, second person giving me wrong information, plus caught him watching the tv while he was "helping" me. Plus they can't set up your phone here. You have to do it yourself with very little instruction. The women ahead of me looked totally lost as she left with her new iPhone. Don't waist your time and be frustrated, I had wonderful service at the AT&T store at Delta Waters store in Medford. They made it simple, easy, and set up my new phone for me, plus unlocked my phone, and set me up with a new plan. read more

Last week I stopped in the Ashland AT&T store to pick up a phone my girlfriend had ordered. There were two customer service agents working the floor, each with a customer. One of the agents was on the phone at a table where his two in-store customers were waiting for him to finish. The agent was not making a sale, but was merely giving advice to someone on the phone, while the people two feet away from him had to watch him and wait. And behind them was an elderly woman, also waiting. I waited for about two minutes before politely asking the agent if maybe he could end the phone call and deal with the customers in his store. He gave me a stern look and continued talking on the phone, ignoring me and his line of customers. At that point the elderly lady told me "I've been waiting 20 minutes", and walked out. Just then the other agent finished with his customer and I approached him to inquire about my girlfriend's phone. The agent on the phone saw me approach the other agent and talked to the agent as if I wasn't there, telling the other agent "He can't talk to you, he has to wait". I thanked them for their time and left. Then, today, my girlfriend and her 9-year old daughter visited the store to pick up her phone and encountered the same agent (she told me what he looked like and that was definitely him, very distinct, shaved head, full beard). My girlfriend was taking her daughter to gymnastics and didn't have much time, and cut the agent off from his sales pitch (which was odd, because my girlfriend had already ordered a specific phone plan and phone and didn't need or want to be pitched on anything else) . The agent told her "Ma'am, you need to understand that I need to make my pitch." My girlfriend said she didn't have the time to listen to his pitch, to which he replied, "You don't belong in our community". This is crossing a line, and this agent should be removed from employment at AT&T and should look into work that doesn't involve customer service, maybe something janitorial. read more

Hello.I recently purchased my first ever smartphone,the Apple iphone 5S.I am not "tech-savvy" so I called our only Apple Retailer in our small town,this AT&T Authorized Retailer for some information about the settings.I called at 7:50 P.M.on September 8,2016,and I my call went to their voice mail.They are open until 8 pm,per the website and sign on their front door.I left a message to call me back,and it was okay to leave me a voicemail with any help for my question.( my problem is that all of my photos are not automatically downloading to my iCloud account,and so my storage on the phone is getting full.)I never received a call back.I called this store on September 9,the next day,and explained my problem,The man at the store said to bring in the phone.He said they were open until,and to come in to the store.After a busy day,I made it to the store at exactly 7:45 pm.I cannot drive,so I rode my bicycle 5 miles to the store on a hot evening.When I got there,the lights were on,there was a female employee 15 feet from that front door.She looked directly at me,and then walked into a back room.She came back out,I am still tapping on the front door,and again she walks back into the back room again.I was not at all aggressive or disrespectful,nor do I look like a seedy character.I then called the store from the front door,and the call went to voicemail.Then the female comes out of the back room with a male,and he also will not answer the door.I was concerned there was a robbery or anything like that going on,they had their store ID badges on,and appeared quite normal.They NEVER answered the phone both days I called,never called me back,and NEVER even came to the door to talk to me,or allow me in,15 minutes before the close time,which was told to me verbally on the phone,is on the front door,and is on their website.I will never go back to this store! read more
