And I know, judging by the name, you'd think it's all about aliens...but no, this place has a little bit of everything. Comic books, vinyl records, vintage lunchboxes, sweet Breaking Bad artwork, and neon sign. There's just a million different things in this store that I love and want to own. So many things that I want, but a few of the things that stood out on my first trip was the Captain Morgan statue (that thing was seriously bigger than me...check the pictures), the Walk/Don't Walk signs, a snowglobe with the original owner's picture in it (perfect gift for White Elephant...just saying), and the huge amount of comic books that were only $2. A5S is in this antique shopping warehouse that's filled with a bunch of different stores, so it may be an all day trip if you're like me. The outside really doesn't look like much, but A5S is huge. You're not human if you don't leave this place with a bag filled with cool stuff at an unbeatable price.

They have toys, collectibles, branded apparel, comics and costumes. Lots of different items, this is a cool place to wander around. They had limited new comic books but a few boxes of floppies I'd have loved to peruse with more time. The owner I spoke with was very friendly and I was able to buy an indie title that I'm excited to dig into. Cute shop I'd definitely recommend!

EP Finest is located downtown right across from San Jacinto (not Anson 11 side). It is a very small brick and mortar place that houses pieces / collections from over 30 different El Paso artists. One of which we met at our annual trip to the El Paso Comic-Con. She had a lot of art on display, and it was very well done. However, it's Comic-Con, so a lot (not us) were in Cosplay, including the artist. Sue was dressed as Nadja, from What We Do In The Shadows, which happens to be one of our Top 5 shows of all time. And not only was she dressed as Nadja, but she had a very well done portrait of Nadjas husband, Lazlo Cravensworth. That happens to be my favorite of the entire show. A must have for my office / nonsense room in my house. She offered a great deal, where you could purchase 3 "prints" (so printed versions of her original works), for $45. So, I bought Lazlo, Dwight/Angela/Moes, and a Sailor Moon one. We came to EP Finest to pick up the prints id purchased. Nice little store. Nice local art. Worth checking out for sure.

A unique and interesting experience…read more One of those downtown type places that is quaint and attractive to the area. Even the workers were unique types of people. They vibed with the ambiance and themes. They truly love comics and anime. There is a room completely dedicated to anime, figurines, books, and collectibles. Pinball machines, dungeons and dragons ..... all the stuff you can imagine. They even sell the figurines and paints to create your own characters. My only complaint - there were some explicit covers on things. So although for the most part it's kid friendly. You will have to explain some things to your children after visiting. The prices are fair and the items for purchase are unique. Definitely stop in if you are downtown but be forewarned about the explicit material.
