They also sell prints and paintings by local artists. What's even better is that it's a local business (well how could it not be?)! Every time I've gone, the employees are super friendly and helpful. I always end up talking and talking with them. Another thing I like about Chuco Relic is that they help the community often. I should say they also try to help people in our state! Back when Hurricane Harvey happened in Houston, they raised money for them by selling merchandise. I recently purchased an El Paso Strong t-shirt from them for $10. I pre-ordered it so it came out to $10 less. I'm always excited to help local businesses succeed, especially when they help others here and around Texas. If you're looking for an El Paso-inspired gift, this is a good place to go.

I came to get a going away gift for her co-worker. My mom specifically wanted a trivet. A trivet is used under a hot plate while serving food. It prevents the table from getting any damage due to the heat from the hot plate. This trivet is made out of ceramic or porcelain. I didn't even know what it really was until I looked it up. Lol. I did but I didn't know that was the proper name for it. My mom requested a specific trivet. This one has a photo of the star on the mountain here in El Paso. People say whenever you see the star on the mountain, you know you're home :) I have to agree with that. There is no place like home or El Paso. It's a very unique place. Anyway... This market sells items like homemade soaps, chapstick, home decor, art and more. The trivet was $18 plus tax. Proceeds go toward the 8-3 shooting victims. A local photographer sells these items, along with more of her art and photography. I wouldn't mind having a meal at the bistro sometime. The staff from the bistro were very nice and polite. The customer service at the market place could've been a little bit better. The two women there were helpful but not entirely friendly. Overall an ok transaction.

The delivery man was courteous. My friend who sent me the chocolates said "Chocolat" specified someone needed to answer the door; otherwise, they wouldn't leave the chocolates basket outside. The basket was perfect and beautiful. The assortment of chocolates was gourmet and unique. I enjoyed them all, but my favorites were the giant chocolate-dipped pretzels with different toppings and the rum cake. Chocolat's rum cake was the freshest most rum-rich rum cake I have ever had. The chocolate assortment was put together with much attention to detail and care. I highly recommend for gifts of any occasion.
