Skating

Have been coming to Astro Skate for many years. Our most recent experience they are doing a much better job with cleanliness and have added a few video games. Better music please! Wish they would take more pride in how they maintain skates. Simply replace damaged laces so we can skate more safely.

I can't believe after 20 years I still know how to skate! This is a great little skating location - perfect for the beginner and great for birthday parties. They serve a bunch of different foods, have a practice area for the first time skaters, and even offer lessons and skating trainers for little ones trying to build confidence out on the floor. It was $8 to skate and a few dollars extra to rent skates. Sunday's they have a time where skating is just $1. What can you buy for $1 anymore? Energetic music keeps you moving and this is s great family activity center a close drive from downtown Bradenton.

This is a fun place for people to skate at. They have trainers - I guess that is what it is called, for people that don't know how to skate- meaning rolling walkers. There is an area in the back for kids to practice skating in. I'm not thrilled with their food at the concession stand. Typical food for this kind of establishment. I do think it's a great place for children's birthday parties and there seem to be many of them. There are some hours that get busy where teenagers and adults skate fast, so if you have a child that is learning how to skate- call ahead of time to find out the slower paced hours.

Garbage can on the rink is a hazard to skaters.

I highly recommend not going to this facility. They neglect to maintain a safe environment for our children. My daughter went during the summer in June and broke her wrist from the skating rink's neglectful environment. The ceiling was leaking so they used a large garbage can to catch the leaking water. The garbage can was on the skating rink surface and in the way of the skaters. In order for one of the skaters to avoid hitting the garbage can, he bumped into my daughter which made her fall and break her wrist. I am currently in litigation over this unfortunate circumstance whereas the rink is not following through with their responsibility. Since then they still have yet to fix the issues and I now have pictures and video of four garbage cans on the skating rink surface and ceiling tiles falling. This facility needs to be closed until they take initiative to fix their building.

Disgusting, Joe, way too much cheese, it was awful! It was not worth the two hour wait! Or the managers big mouth!

We had thrown my daughters birthday here. The package was priced decent. My whole family had fun…read moreand even the adults of the kids. A few things I would suggest a change of is 1: you should offer more than one of the skating helpers per party. 2: the skating helpers you rent should be allowed to be rented for the entire time you are there (not just an hour) your paying enough for admission skates and food for this to happen. 3: when someone from the bday party requests a song please play it. Seeing as tho we paid a good chunk of change. We were not asking to play straight trap music. When I think of skating I think of songs like "diamond girl, spring love, when I hear music, time after time, ect... (90s skating music) but none of the staff played it once requested. Very upsetting. For those reasons I rate a 4. But we wil be back and had a great time. Hopefully we can hear some good skating music next time

I came with a large group of 53 kids, and we called several times throughout the week to confirm…read morethat everything would be ready for our visit. Each time, we were assured that everything was set. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. From the moment we arrived, we were met with rudeness and unprofessional behavior. Erin yelled at our kids and even pushed one of our young boys out of her way, which was completely unacceptable. What was even more disappointing was the response from the General Manager, Tyler. Instead of helping organize the situation or offering any support, he repeatedly told his staff, "Don't be discouraged--this is more money for us." Hearing a manager make that comment multiple times while our group was struggling was incredibly frustrating. At no point did he step in to resolve issues or show concern for the experience of the children. To make matters worse, many of our kids were refused skate mates because staff said they already had too many in use and needed to save some for other customers. This left several children without the assistance they needed, despite our group being scheduled and confirmed in advance. I am genuinely disappointed that I chose this venue for our group outing. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and dismissive attitudes from Tyler and his team turned what should have been a fun day into a stressful experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone planning a group event, especially one involving children. We expected a welcoming environment and received the exact opposite.

Wednesday they do pizza night, about the pizza? That kind of if you are hungry you eat, otherwise…read morepass. They do have a really small area for Kids, begginers just to learn how to stand up. My roller broke the straps, so I rented there, didn't like they were wet (they do spray odoban or something similar when you return, wish was powdered) The music and the lights are really great, the downside it's they have just one ring, so all together pros, beginners, people who barely stand. Also, you can't even bring water bottle inside, and if you buy there they won't stay chilli for a while as they are plastic bottles)

Yet it turns out the entry fee should be $8 and on top of that indicates in my screenshots from the official website that parents aren't even charged when they're spectating. When my wife when to the lady up front to claim all of this , the lady in front didn't cooperate for refund, only stating "umm well they only tell me what to charge and everyone pays here!" Like are you serious? And we demanded to speak to the owner and she didn't want to call the owner , but only handed over 2 complimentary vouchers for next time! It's a matter of principle and we were owed $12 bucks yes not a big deal but it's all about ethics! Like why don't you guys go on and skate your way out of here cuz the only track they got is robbing people. Truly awful and looks like they got more reflecting to do based on their service
