Great prices! Super helpful! It was my first time going in after browsing their website, and intending to go in for many years. Tony was super welcoming and helpful! They have a great selection for what I was looking for, and most definitely I will be going back!! Thank you so much!! read more

If I could rate more than 5/5 stars I would. Anthony and Andrew are amazing. I needed a lot of help buying DJ lights and they went above and beyond to help me. I'd highly recommend going in person to see their showroom. This place is great for DJs at any level. Don't sleep on this place. I'm never going back to guitar center! read more

Bad Communication sent friend across town after negotiating a price through Facebook Marketplace, only to discover that the agreed price somehow magically transformed back into the original listing price the moment it was time to pay. The listing was $339. I offered $280. The seller countered at $298 and explicitly stated, "298 is the lowest I can go for the FLX4." Fair enough. That's called negotiating. I accepted the understanding that the item would be sold for $298. I then asked for the address and business hours, which were provided. At no point during any of these conversations did anyone say, "By the way, the negotiated price does not include tax," or "there will be additional card processing fees." When my friend arrived to pick up the item, suddenly tax and card fees appeared out of nowhere. The final total landed right back around $339, which just so happened to be the exact original Marketplace listing price. Maybe that's a coincidence. Maybe the stars aligned perfectly. Maybe after negotiating from $339 to $298, adding tax and fees just happened to bring the price right back to where it started. From a customer's perspective, it felt like a classic bait-and-switch. The negotiated discount existed only until it was time to actually pay. What made the experience worse was the attitude when I called to clarify the situation. Instead of acknowledging how misleading the pricing appeared, I was met with a lecture about how famous the store is and how they've been around since the 1990s. Respectfully, how long a business has existed has nothing to do with whether pricing was communicated clearly. A business that's been operating for decades should be even better at disclosing final costs upfront. The product itself may be fine. The issue is transparency. If the real total is going to be significantly higher than the negotiated number, disclose that before someone makes plans, sends a friend, or drives to the store. Clear communication prevents bad reviews. Unfortunately, clear communication was exactly what was missing here. read more

Wonderful customer service, nothing short of excellence. I ordered a new Technics Turntable in the 12th hour over the Holidays and Astro literally delivered! Not to mention the outstanding job of packaging they did. Best I have ever seen of anything I have ordered online, period. Full Stop. I worked with Craig the Owner, had terrific technical conversations with him, he's as passionate about delivering great service as they come. He gave me a great deal, honored pricing which was accidentally marked down online. Had the pleasure of also being assisted by Cypher who was quick to respond to my questions and made sure I was happy with everything. I am! Also big thanks to Ben who also helped me! Shops like this are a rarity these days, I highly recommend them. read more

I came to Astro to repair a turntable, but it wasn't salvageable. They were nice about it, and tried hard to fix it. I brought in my pro Denon D-4500 dual CD deck that I have used for years in my radio studio for repair and was immediately taken in by the vibe and atmosphere of this place - it is appropriately named. Now what you are here to read about: 1. Less than 24 hours later (don't hold them to that) my CD deck was 100% repaired, refurbished and like new. And, the price was beyond fair. 2. The rest of the team are amazing - they are all DJ's and know their stuff. I might even hire one of them freelance on a new project. 3. I left with a disco ball for my studio. They have an insane selection - and this one was affordable. 4. I learned the story of how the store started 50-years ago by owner Craig who has cool mementos of those years in his office. I just want to go back to hang in my (currently non-existent) free time. It's worth the schlep (not that bad for me from Hollywood Knolls) to Glendale for anything related to D.J. gear! read more

Easy rental process and good selection. Best prices in town by far, will come back here for sure!

Worst customer service in Los Angeles area, went in to purchase a moving head,it was advertised on 3 different websites as a single unit, went in and was told,oh we are selling a pair, bait and switch tactic that is used by shady retailers,i would avoid the place at all costs read more

This store is hands-down the best DJ store I've heard of and know of. Not only do they have everything you would need for DJing video and lighting, but they are extremely helpful and teaching you everything you need to know before your big gig. If it wasn't for them, I would not be as confident as I am today. They are all genuinely nice people And there to help you. Big shout out to Drew who taught me everything I've known so far. Also big shout out to Jasmin for all her help. The professionalism and fun in this place is unmatched. If you want anything to do with DJing, this is where you need to start. Hands-down the best place I've been and will continue to visit. Not to mention great place to practice they have everything you need. I will be going here for all my future needs. I hosted my first ever mini musical festival and resource fair this past weekend and Astro AV was an incredible help with all things sound! I was able to talk to Saul and let him know what I needed; both him and Craig came back with other items that I hadn't even thought of but absolutely needed. The prices were reasonable. Day of the event my sound technician was Javi. He was so sweet! Very precise and knew exactly what to do. I walked away feeling completely relaxed that the music was going to be okay. Many things wrong with astros, but the latest one is their price gauging due to the shortage of equipment, another dj friend paid nearly $4000 for another controller, in the past I rented equipment and got hit with a late fee after I had called and mention that the item will be back on Monday since they're closed on Sunday's so I didn't know how was I supposed to return equipment on Sunday if they're closed, besides that many other bad experiences and stories, like other people mention on theirs reviews we try to help the little shops around our community but they don't let us with their price gauging and late fees read more

It's Friday night and the weekends here and people need to unwind so where's the party mister deejay? Whatever the occasion is,the staff here have got ya covered. The best rentals in audio equipment with a whole lot of experience with price matching to back it up. They have a showroom to give you a preview of what they have to offer. And if your looking for Dj audio stacks, these guys are all over that like a beat to a drum.Besides all that Jazz, they have one of the best audio guys to fix and troubleshoot problems in a jiffy. I took my old cd mixer in for repair and within a couple of hours they had my estimate and date it would be ready. That's top notch service on the real. For those who want to become a professional Dj or just learn how to use the latest equipment to be in the spotlight. They offer group sessions that are fun and informative. So be that deejay that makes you move and grove and keep on playing that song on and on. And that's my take on this joint. Peace out. read more

I've been in the market for a pair of CDJ-3000s since November 2021. Couldn't find them anywhere until a pair popped up at Astro in January. Quickly got in contact with Craig (owner) then with Cypher from sales; the guys were very helpful and down to earth & they made sure all my needs were fully met. I needed to repair one of my studio monitors (Adam A7x) as well as an LED light, I remembered this shop as a kid and realized they did repairs too. I was worried some shops would try to up charge since these speakers are very expensive but Robert (the man in charge of repairs) found the issue and had it fixed within the hour, he also fixed my LED light for just the cost of the speaker repair since it was a very easy soldering fix. Before going here, I was worried I'd have to spend another $800 for a speaker but it only cost me $45 all together. Robert is a very knowledgeable person! I also want to add, the store has an awesome room with lots of equipment to browse around in. I will definitely check into Astro Audio for future purchases and repairs going forward and I'd recommend it! Thanks for the great service Astro Audio read more
