Dr. Bordeaux has been practicing in Midtown Atlanta for 30 years now. Great attitude and demeanor,…read moreextremely knowledgeable, honest and upfront, and he really cares about each of his patients. His office is cozy and has a very welcoming feel to it, unlike other dentists' offices. He utilizes a lot of new dental equipment and technology, which other offices don't like to invest in. Great staff as well - from the front desk to the hygienists. I always have a good experience during my visits (and this is a dentist's office). Dr. Bordeaux is very accomplished in his field and his work has also been recognized by Georgia governor Sonny Perdue. He was on the Emory faculty before opening his practice. His office is located on the ground level, below The Dakota condominiums, on Juniper Street in Midtown. Street parking is available during certain hours of the day and there are also complimentary covered parking spots in the adjacent parking deck. It's best to get directions to his office from his web site, which is well-maintained and up-to-date (http://dentistryformidtown.com/).

I'm updating my original review because people deserve to know the truth about how far this…read morepractice has fallen. The glowing reviews you'll see here are outdated--many of the doctors being praised, like Dr. Andrew, don't even work here anymore. Since the practice relocated and Dr. Koch took over, it's been a steady and disappointing decline. Dr. Koch took over the practice and it's completely gone downhill since they've moved. She hasn't personally examined my teeth in years, except for brief check-ins for orthodontic treatment. Most of my visits have been with Dr. Mondani, who completely lacks chair-side manner and shows zero warmth or connection. Every interaction now feels rushed, impersonal, and transactional. It's clear the focus is no longer on patient care--it's on moving people in and out as fast as possible. The new office space mirrors the cold, detached experience: sterile, industrial, and uninviting. It's the perfect metaphor for how the practice now operates--clinical and profit-driven, with none of the comfort or care you'd hope for in a family dental office. One of the other issues that adds to the decline of this place is that they no longer validate the parking for a full visit. They only validate for 1 hour and they have NEVER actually gotten me in and out within an hour so I have a pay a balance when I leave. It's only a few dollars but it's quite an annoyance. Another huge issue is the turnover is staff, clearly there is an issue with how they treat their employees as well because the tech turnover is insanely high. I haven't seen the same tech more than twice in a row and I'm trying to get to know a new tech each time. This used to be a dental office I trusted and recommended. Not anymore. If you're looking for a practice that values you as a patient and runs with professionalism and care, look elsewhere. This place is a shell of what it used to be.

This was my second round of braces, and I have so many complaints that I feel compelled to warn…read moreothers. Let's start with the fact that this dental office does not have sinks. Yes, you read that right--no sinks in the rooms. When I came in for a cleaning, there was no rinsing or spitting because they simply don't have the facilities. The issues didn't stop there. I already had braces on when I scheduled my cleaning, but when I arrived, the hygienist was upset with me for having braces during the cleaning. She claimed I should've had three separate appointments: one for removing the braces, one for the cleaning, and then another for putting the braces back on. She made her frustration very clear, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. Throughout my treatment, they switched my orthodontist multiple times with no explanation. Each time, I had to sit there while someone new reviewed my chart, which felt incredibly unprofessional and unsettling. On top of that, they kept asking if I was satisfied with how my teeth looked. How am I supposed to know what my teeth should look like? Isn't that their job to determine and fix? For context, I got braces to correct flaring and a few spaces in my teeth. While the spaces seemed closed, the flaring wasn't fixed at all. Honestly, my first round of braces 10 years ago gave me better results than this round ever did. The only reason I needed braces again was that I didn't wear my retainers back then. This time, I was determined to do everything right, but Pure Dental Health completely dropped the ball. When it came time to remove my braces, they didn't even know I was scheduled for the appointment. Worse yet, my retainers weren't ready. I had to be fitted for them after my removal appointment, which meant scheduling another visit. I had also asked about permanent retainers before my removal appointment and was told they would cost $600. I asked if I owed anything else for my braces, and they assured me I didn't. Then, on the day of removal, they suddenly told me I owed $600 for the braces removal, meaning I'd have to pay $1,200 total for both. At that point, I refused to pay for the permanent retainers and just paid for the braces removal. This back-and-forth was unprofessional, poorly communicated, and frustrating.

I NEED JUSTICE. My teeth started to hurt after I started going to this place. My good, perfect…read moreteeth are ruined. I tried to call them, but no one picked up; it turns out this place closed due to MALPRACTICE. MONEY-GREEDY PLACE.

Confession: I've always hated going to the dentist. I know it's important and all, but…read moreseriously--do people actually like their dentist? Well... turns out, yes! Because I LUV my dentist, and I've been seeing Dr. Drescher for years now. I first came here on a friend's recommendation after a botched crown experience at another office. Not only did Dr. Drescher fix the previous dentist's mistake, but he was also incredibly kind and gracious throughout the entire process. I could tell he genuinely cared about getting it right--not just clinically, but for my comfort and confidence too. Now, I've been a loyal patient ever since--even though I've relocated multiple times over the years. I still make it a point to come back to Dr. Drescher for my cleanings and checkups when I'm in Atlanta. Fast forward to today--I recently got Invisalign, and I'm absolutely loving my new smile. The care, patience, and attention to detail from Dr. Drescher and his whole team made the process easy and actually kind of enjoyable. The staff is warm, welcoming, and on top of everything, with friendly reminders that keep me on track (even when I'm in another state). It's rare to find a provider who makes routine dental care feel this easy and comfortable. If you're dental-avoidant like I used to be, give this office a try. You just might find yourself writing a review like this one. I'm smiling more these days and my smile is healthier, straighter, and brighter--thanks to the amazing care I've received here.
