This review is against their Fayetteville, NY office in Northeast Medical Center, same business, just a satellite office. My primary physician here is Dr. Flanagan and I couldn't be happier. He is a very caring and knowledgable care giver. He listens to all of your concerns and addresses them with relevant and detailed medical information. As a child I didn't have allergies and then my twenties happened and I developed then, bummer. After a skin test they developed my serum and I went in weekly for about three years. The Fayetteville staff is excellent, safe and efficient. You show up, swipe you ID card and have a seat. The tech calls you back, verifies your shots and confirms it's really you. After the shot they make you wait 20 minutes to make sure you don't have anaphylactic reaction. Again, they leverage technology for this safety check so the tech comes out to you at the 20 minute mark to make sure your throat didn't close up. The billing is smooth as it can be for a doctor's office. I have changed insurance three times and they accepted all three carriers. The front office staff knows claims and process so they keep things moving smoothly. (Sharon is great!) Recently I have moved out of state and have continued to get my serum from them so I don't lose my progress. There have only been two issues, specific to the back-office, one with shipping and the other with medical records release. Escalation to a supervisor and a few phone calls have fixed both. I am still giving them five stars because I have probably had 50+ seamless visits so I can give them a pass on two minor hiccups. The other doctors might be better, but I was unfortunate enough to be scheduled with Dr MacNairn. Her bedside manner was rushed, rude and dissmissive. She refused to do any of the testing or treatment my pcp had referred me for and instead focused on criticizing his diagnosis. Then she left in the middle of the appointment to go answer a phone call from another patient and never came back. Atrocious all around. read more

I went up to the office for an allergy test and when I showed up there was no place anywhere near to park my bicycle--yet plenty of room for many cars. (1) After meeting with Dr. McNairn for an allergy test, it seemed like she just did NOT want to listen to my needs. I informed her that I did not want to take medicine to reduce the symptoms, I wanted to focus on treatment, fixing the problem, not covering it up with drugs. After informing me that the allergy shots might help with treatment, but would last (weekly?) for a couple years, I straightforwardly let her know that I was not interested in the cost, the hassle for something that might help only somewhat. She still was focused on setting me up for allergy shots. Perhaps there are no good treatments to cure these allergies, but she was not good at listening to her patient.(2) After the nice lady gave me the allergy test, the doctor was going to let me go out to the waiting room/front desk with ink all up and down my arms. There are cotton balls and alcohol right there on the desk! I did it myself and all the ink came off easily, so it didn't stain my clothes or get farther into my skin. (3) The communication as I understood it, as she exited the treatment room with me cleaning off my arms, was that I was meeting her/someone in the lobby at the desk, so I went out and waited. No one came out to end the conversation, she had just left the exam room. (4) I get a bill in the mail saying I owe more money ($5) though I already paid co-pay while I was there in person. To update my last review, Dr. Pieretti and staff stepped up and took care of me after my last unfortunate struggles. I'd never met Dr. Pieretti before, but I'm definitely impressed by her level of caring and compassion. I'm glad that I went back to this practice, and would recommend Dr. Pieretti, for sure. read more

I have been working with this practice for over 5 years. This practice has now seen my entire family, all 5 of us, and are treating us for a variety of allergies, some deadly. I cannot say enough good about this practice. The two doctors with whom we have met are wonderful and have called me back outside of normal hours in an rough situation. The staff has been great about accommodating our various schedules and shot locations. Dr. McNarin was particularly good with working with my reluctant teen. I had a bad experience at their Ithaca location. Receptionists rescheduled my appointment without informing me, so I had to wait 2 hours to be seen (though I had my appointment card proving I was supposed to be scheduled at 8AM). Then, they failed to cancel a prescription, so I continued to be charged for medicine I wasn't taking. To top it off, they sent me home with a different person's patient summary, including lots of personal details! In the midst of this disastrous service, they were unable to provide any help for my allergies over many visits, and when they were unsuccessful they got rude.
