So, I ended up in the emergency room of Holy Cross Hospital. I was examined and immediately sent to an MRI. When the results came back, they said it showed that I had Gallstone Ileus. Like what is that? So, I Googled it and found it to be: "One of the rarest forms of all mechanical bowel obstructions and is a complication of cholelithiasis. Patients have non-specific symptoms such as intermittent abdominal pain, distension, nausea, vomiting, and constipation as the gallstone travels through the gastrointestinal tract. This activity describes the evaluation and treatment of gallstone ileus and explains the role of the interprofessional team in managing patients with this condition." Then they put me on morphine for the pain and scheduled emergency surgery for late that Sunday night. As my condition was so rare there was no set procedure for that type if surgery, but Dr. Mufaddal Ghadiali skillfully accomplished it. Then, after 30 days of heeling and rehabilitation, I was released and now as good as ever.

However, a sweet lady called me back that Sunday ,because of the message I left and the level of pain I was in. She was patient, attentive, and kind. She heard my concerns, and assessed my problem, and gave me the earliest emergency slot appointment available. Monday morning, I showed up in a terrible condition-tons of pain that I never felt in my life. This office was completely understanding. Sometime when your sick, and out in Public the way people act can make you feel worse, especially if they are inconsiderate, however this office was never ever like that! Each person in the office was kind and helpful, from the moment I walked in I was assisted. When I got back, Doctor Lapco was so attentive, and kind. He gave me a fist bump, and made me feel comfortable and welcomed despite my "Self-Pay" status. He was not able to take a culture thanks to the level of swelling of my ear, but thanks to him inserting a cotton for collection of the antibiotic I was able to finally feel the antibiotic effects, thus the healing process could begin. Without that, the swelling would have blocked the medications from really having any effected - like it did all weekend prior. When I left the exam room, the front desk staff was able to assist in setting me up a follow up appointment, and despite my financial situation they really worked with me. I had to come back to get rechecked but being that I already made my way to the Urgent care and was out a few hundred dollars to no avail in fixing this problem, they were understanding and helping me out by not charging me the follow up appointment. This came as a surprise to me when I called still in pain asking for guidance on what to do. Thanks to this doctor, and his staff I was all better in 1 full week. He gave me good advice on my follow up appointment to keep from having to come back, advice I intend to follow. Thank you Dr. Paul Lapco, and staff for all your consideration, speedy assistance, and kindness. I am forever grateful.

From the welcoming staff to Dr. Abdallah's expertise, everything was exceptional. He explained my diagnosis and treatment options clearly, making me feel at ease. Well this is definitely not the case with Dr Abdallah. He speaks with each patient as if they were a close friend. He is an excellent surgeon, has a stellar personality, and I would trust him with any of my family members. Bedsides working alongside him in the hospital setting, I have used him on two separate occasions for my varicose veins (an RN with varicose veins, surprise surprise). Once we did sclerotherapy and most recently endovenous laser ablation. Both procedures are done in the comfort of his newly renovated clean office. Sclerotherapy can be used for both varicose and spider veins. It involves injection of an sclerosing agent directly into the spider or varicose vein which will cause it collapse and virtually disappear. It is phenomenal.. all of my unsightly veins were wiped out! Unfortunately when women get pregnant (which I did a couple of years after this procedure) some may come back (which they did). So Dr Abdallah recommended the more invasive solution, which is the endovenous laser ablation also known as EVLT. EVLT involves using light emission (from a laser) to cauterize (burn) the inside of the varicose vein wall causing this unhealthy vein to close for good. We did this procedure in office in under an hour and I was able to go on in life as normal! Oh, and the unslightly veins were gone! Besides cosmetic procedures, As a vascular surgeon Dr Abdallah specializes in Hemodialysis access procedures, abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs , endartectomies, and any of your vascular needs.

I am alive today by the grace of God -- and because God placed Dr. Halloway in my path right when I needed him most. For years I suffered from complications with a failing kidney stent. I went through over 30 surgeries, constant infections, and pain that pushed my body to the edge. Things became so severe that I developed a fistula -- my bladder had ruptured -- and I was completely unaware of how dangerously close I was to losing my life. When I ended up in the emergency room under Dr. Halloway's care, I was exhausted, scared, and spiritually empty. And then God sent the right doctor. Dr. Halloway walked into my room and had a firm, honest, life-saving conversation with me -- something no one else had done. He didn't sugarcoat anything. He didn't speak softly just to comfort me. He cared enough to tell me the truth: If I didn't take immediate action, I would die. The tone he used wasn't harsh; it was full of compassion, urgency, and love for human life. That moment woke me up. That moment saved me. I believe with all my heart that God spoke through him, and that he was being guided to say exactly what I needed to hear. After I left the hospital, I followed up at his office. And this is where his dedication truly showed. Dr. Halloway did not rush me. He didn't treat me like a number, chart, or problem to clear off his schedule. He stopped everything he was doing, picked up the phone, and began calling relentlessly -- determined to find the correct doctor who could help address the fistula and the ruptured bladder. He would not stop until he knew I was in the right hands. That kind of compassion is rare. That kind of commitment is life-saving. That kind of doctor is Heaven-sent. And because of his persistence, his knowledge, and the way God guided him, I ended up receiving the treatment that changed everything. Dr. Halloway's actions were a major part of my miracle. Every time I share my testimony -- every single time -- his name is mentioned, because he is a big part of why I am still here today. After years of seeing many urologists, I can confidently say: there is no one like Dr. Halloway. He is skilled, compassionate, honest, and deeply committed to his patients. He listens. He cares. He speaks truth. And he fights for your life as if it were his own family standing in front of him. I am still his patient today, and I thank God for him. My children and grandchildren have me here because God used this doctor as a vessel of healing and mercy. Thank you, Dr. Halloway. You are part of my testimony forever. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping save my life. -- Tessa Westby(954)638-7626
