I am alive today by the grace of God -- and because God placed Dr. Halloway in my path right when I needed him most. For years I suffered from complications with a failing kidney stent. I went through over 30 surgeries, constant infections, and pain that pushed my body to the edge. Things became so severe that I developed a fistula -- my bladder had ruptured -- and I was completely unaware of how dangerously close I was to losing my life. When I ended up in the emergency room under Dr. Halloway's care, I was exhausted, scared, and spiritually empty. And then God sent the right doctor. Dr. Halloway walked into my room and had a firm, honest, life-saving conversation with me -- something no one else had done. He didn't sugarcoat anything. He didn't speak softly just to comfort me. He cared enough to tell me the truth: If I didn't take immediate action, I would die. The tone he used wasn't harsh; it was full of compassion, urgency, and love for human life. That moment woke me up. That moment saved me. I believe with all my heart that God spoke through him, and that he was being guided to say exactly what I needed to hear. After I left the hospital, I followed up at his office. And this is where his dedication truly showed. Dr. Halloway did not rush me. He didn't treat me like a number, chart, or problem to clear off his schedule. He stopped everything he was doing, picked up the phone, and began calling relentlessly -- determined to find the correct doctor who could help address the fistula and the ruptured bladder. He would not stop until he knew I was in the right hands. That kind of compassion is rare. That kind of commitment is life-saving. That kind of doctor is Heaven-sent. And because of his persistence, his knowledge, and the way God guided him, I ended up receiving the treatment that changed everything. Dr. Halloway's actions were a major part of my miracle. Every time I share my testimony -- every single time -- his name is mentioned, because he is a big part of why I am still here today. After years of seeing many urologists, I can confidently say: there is no one like Dr. Halloway. He is skilled, compassionate, honest, and deeply committed to his patients. He listens. He cares. He speaks truth. And he fights for your life as if it were his own family standing in front of him. I am still his patient today, and I thank God for him. My children and grandchildren have me here because God used this doctor as a vessel of healing and mercy. Thank you, Dr. Halloway. You are part of my testimony forever. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping save my life. -- Tessa Westby(954)638-7626

I was taken into a room and asked a few questions and then left there for 45 minutes with no one coming to check on me. The doctor never came and so I left as I had to go to work. I will never go back here now. I'm trying to get my co-pay back. Tried to contact billing and no one answers the phone. I have left several messages I have called. I have emailed now it's going into credit dispute.

In great detail, I filled out the information, medications, medical and surgical history, and…read morereasons why I was coming to see him. He never reviewed any of my information prior to speaking with me. He even suggested to take a medication which I was already taking. I found Dr Silverstein to be disinterested and unprepared to meet with a patient without reviewing their medical history. I waited four months for my initial visit only to be very disappointed. I want to share my unprofessional experience with him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Silverstein for 15 years. I like to kid him that he is a southern Gentleman with a New York sense of humor. He listens to his patients, offers common sense advice and surely knows the range of ailments, medications and treatments needed for any urological issues. I have referred numerous friends to him, including several women, who sing his praises. If you're a man reading this review and of a certain age, you should be aware of the need for periodic PSA tests, as well as digital exams of your prostate. Don't ignore this, you don't want to be diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer which could have been avoided by discovering earlier as a result of a PSA test or digital exam. Many men experience issues of urine flow (force, frequency, duration) as they age, it's nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about, it's something to discuss with a urologist and Silverstein will make you at ease to do so. And of course, there are many medicines to address these issues as well as any other erectile dysfunction issues. Silverstein's practice is part of Boca Care, physicians on staff and employed by Boca Raton Regional Hospital. All insurances accepted by the hospital would also be accepted by his practice. The office staff are efficient and there is also a PA as part of the practice. So, do yourself a favor and add a urologist to your list of specialists if you are having any issues or simply as part of your well care if you're a mature man.

As far as what needed to be done: I was told I would have a procedure done based off of an ultrasound. I was given a Rx for an antibiotic. I let them know that there was a risk of tendon damage with the prescribed antibiotic. They sent a script for a new antibiotic. I was in contact with the office 2 days before the procedure. I expected to have the procedure done when I went in. I'm not too keen on taking antibiotics due to the damage it does to good and bad bacteria in your gut. It's not healthy to take antibiotics unless necessary. It would have been necessary if I received the procedure. I took it for a day and a half, and got to the office to find out that it was supposedly not the best route to treat me to do that procedure after paying for (2 antibiotics) and taking one of them. The procedure is something Dr Sofer said she would have told a family member (of hers) to get and it's difficult to get certain images and diagnoses confused when it's a close family member and a patient has the same thing, so with that said, it seems as if the more invasive procedure is just being pushed for other reasons. Idk for sure, but I'm confused and quite honestly afraid to go through with the other procedure being recommended. I was given a physicians order for a certain type of MRI that this place is charging $95 for in addition to what my insurance covers.

Charlotte, their Manager said there is no record for a call from the ER, and my Doctor said she never got a call. 1 hour wait to see the Doctor at their office. Additionally, I got an infection after leaving the hospital under the care of Z Urology, and they never relayed the request to the Doctor so I had to call twice. Then, after speaking to the PA, they were supposed to send my Lab Order to Quest. When I got to Quest for my appointment, they did not have my order, so I called the practice and was told there was an error with their fax and sent the order, causing me to waste another hour. Additionally, there is a 1-hour wait to see the Doctor. Charlotte's way of addressing my concerns was that she offered to send my medical records elsewhere; in other words, she took NO responsibility and was encouraging me to find a new Doctor in another practice. I would give them a ZERO rating if available. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Florida Medical Board.
