I love this place because of the survive and the food was exceptionally delicious, there is a great atmosphere and unique food made from high quality ingredients. Over all I think I would definitely come back. It is right next to a ski mountain which I like and the staff is pretty good. If it was in aspen village itself I would probably give it five stars. It just got a remodel so it is nice and clean. I also love how spacious it is. The building isn't connected with the hotel room , and with it being all apart it is a little hard to get around in the snow. This is one of the best places I have stayed at. I loved every single thing about this place. The service here is top notch. Warm and welcoming, I look forward to staying here again. From the moment, I walked in I was in love. The service was amazing. It is Aspen and I was already expecting some snottiness. None of that, thankfully. The place is set up like condominiums inspired by Bauhaus. It's open and welcoming. The snow makes it more pretty. The room itself was spacious and huge. There is your room with a sliding door for privacy, a kitchenette and a living room. It took me probably 10 minutes walking around the room closing the blinds. What a workout. Buffet breakfast was delicious and bonus points that it is included in our rate. Again, the service was superb and top notch. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport and downtown Aspen. I did have a hard time getting an Uber or cab maybe due to it is the holiday season. This place was superb and what made it better were the deer sightings. If your a menopausal woman. We were 3 sharing a room for a girls trip. Beware and stay away from this resort. Our room was "HOT" stinky and musty! I wish I had known there was no AC. Even worse the refrigerator was turned off hence the horrible smell. There was mold in the bathroom. The rooms are on the larger side. Perfect for a family and the views were beautiful. The staff was very nice but when I complained about the heat. All they did was send up a second fan. I am from Florida. I have never stayed in a hotel with no air conditioning! Aspen meadows is a gem. The size alone of the resort is great just to walk around and explore. The check in process is pretty easy and standard, though it can take a while to get to your room if it's farther than the reception area. The rooms itself are spacious but minimal. They remind me of an large European apartment. I was lucky to stay on the river which was amazing and the to hear it running at night was great. Although the walk into town is probably a good 20 mins they do have a shuttle that picks/ drops you off at various places in town. read more

Spectacular service and unique and warm accommodations made for a special weekend. The health club was terrific, the dining pretty darn good, and the attentive and friendly staff all made this expensive ($200 per night) hotel worth it. A walk on the grounds twice per day is highly recommended but watch out for the wildlife poop. We will be back but will look for a special price. While we were there it was 40% occupancy. No wonder as it is too pricey with many other Options nearby. read more

This place is wierd configuration. There is only one place to park which is an underground garage. No elevator. They take you to your room in a golf cart and then the walk is long probably 1 mile back to the lobby. I was taken to my room, I am 70 and needed help getting luggage upstairs. I was going to walk back to my car to get my computer and a huge bear was within a few yards of the golf cart. I was 10 minutes away from walking back. The bear then went into the garage, I asked the host if it would break into my car. She asked if I had food in the car. I did because I had been doing a road trip. I literally could have easily have been killed that night. I asked if they was normal and she said 3 or 4 live around. It is dark, no way to safely park by your room. It's nuts, avoid at all costs. I am trying to get my $1000 back for two nights. They jacked up the price for the second night. read more

Beautiful resort with Bauhaus architecture; art, sculpture and artistic landscaping complement the clean lines of the buildings. Serene walking paths run through the grounds. When you arrive, you leave your car in a garage and are taken by golf cart to your room. The resort is therefore quiet and uncontested, and ideal for walking or riding bikes (free to rent from the health center, which has a pool, hot tub and workout room). Two story buildings scattered throughout the propriety house the units. Suites are spacious, clean and modern, with either balconies or patios. My only critique was the lack of supplies in the kitchen such as cutlery, plates and glassware for only two despite a table for four, and no bowls. Also, we could definitely hear the footsteps of the people above us, so the noise level of the buildings was higher than in some more traditional hotel buildings. A free shuttle will take you into Aspen and back. Staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back, especially in summer, when prices are affordable and the grounds are gorgeous! read more

What I love most about this place: I like that the rooms were spacious, clean, and modern--you get the feeling this is a world class place to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful with shuttling its guests back and forth to town. We could fit a family into a suite and there were two flat screen TV's so one person could watch the news in one room and another the Olympics in another at the same time. The WiFi signal was good enough for social media and email to be alerted to emergencies but no cellular signal so no routine phone calls. This is the perfect place to decompress from a hectic city life. The catering tasted world class (specifically the pastries and breakfast). I like the COVID safety protocols and outdoor dining options. The pool, hot tub, steam room and gym looked organized and hygienic. The Aspen Music Festival and other conferences look world class. I recommend feeding one's artistic and technical appetite at the Aspen Music Festival, Aspen Institute, Aspen Center for Physics or witnessing some innovative children's musical and reading events (e.g. Tunes and Tales) at the Pitkin County Library. I also like the new signage near the check-in building. The staff go above and beyond the call of duty: Our connecting flight got rebooked and arrived super late--the staff saved us a dinner and took us to the grocery store so we could buy some groceries. My spouse left her backpack in the back of the shuttle and the driver helped her find it. My son ran and scraped his knee and the pool staff found a bandage in the first aid kit for him. If I had any questions about ambassadors and royalty are treated, stay here and experience it! Some trivial knits that I think the management could stay on top of to maintain its world class ranking: I thought virtually all of the shuttle shuttle drivers drove safer and more professionally than I could with one minor exception. Thus I think the management could continuously train and monitor its newest employees on safe defensive driving practices such as stopping the shuttle while using any potentially distracting hand held device. Since this is a world class facility, I think consumables such as light bulbs and batteries in the TV remotes, safes, and lamps could be more pro-actively tested and inspected between guest visits to ensure a more uniform guest experience. I think more careful oversight of first guest impressions before guests arrive would be one area for getting ahead of guest expectations. Other than that, I spent a lot of time contemplating any actionable steps this management team could take as I got the impression this team was operating at some insanely higher level helping millionaires temporarily experience what it must feel like to be billionaire for a night here. Overall, I love the place and would highly recommend it to conference planners, family, friends and colleagues! I think the management appears to be on its A-game and busy motivating and inspiring some of its newest employees to meet the exacting demands of their guests. Some of the long-time employees exude an amazing pride in their craft I felt inspired just listening to that I think would be inspirational for anyone in the hospitality business to witness. It is going above and beyond in resuming its operations during an epidemic of COVID which is pretty impressive in it feels like we need an extra level of effort from staff and and extra level of patience from the guests during these challenging times of resumption and restart. read more

Very nice resort. Peaceful, attentive staff, comfortable rooms and lots of space to roam around. I had a one bedroom suite with a sitting area. Bed was comfortable, sofa and desk area were nice and easy to spread out on and work. Only complaint is that the TV in the living room was a bit small to watch from the sofa. The grounds are very peaceful. It is an easy hike/walk into Aspen. You can get a bike from the health club and there are miles and miles of biking trails. It is not a resort in the sense of today's "mega resorts". It has a nice workout facility and a nice size pool and hot tub. Nice restaurant and good service. I will be back. read more

I love the rooms! They're more like apartments. Clean, beautiful views, and awesome amenities including a complimentary shuttle into town. When they learned it was our anniversary they sent us a bottle of wine, which was very thoughtful! One bummer - the room key card machine was down so every time we left our room we had to go to the lobby to get let in. I should have asked to have them waive the resort fee seeing as we couldn't use any of the resort features due to not having a key to anything, but it was only an overnight stay and the wine was a nice gesture. We also booked on Hotwire, so ended up only paying $92 for the room! read more

Not sure how I feel about this place. It's nice but a little pretentious. The rooms aren't cozy or even hotel-like. They remind me more of college dorms. The walls are thin and I could hear everything. The room layout is a little odd. Room service is decent. You have to walk outside to get to your room- which sucks when it's freezing with a ton of snow out. The views are pretty ...but not enough to give this place more stars. Also, the rooms take FOREVER to heat. At one point I was convinced my unit was broken! If you want to adjust the temperature by 4 degrees - be prepared to wait HOURS. read more

Aspen Meadows is a nice hideaway from the bustle of Aspen. They offer a peaceful place to stay and also provide free shuttles to town (every half hour 24/7). They offer airport pick up from ASE. The resort is just finishing up construction, but we still found the temporary welcome counter to be beautiful and inviting. All employees have been an absolute pleasure. If available the breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day. The health club has most things you would look for as well a a fantastic pool. The guest rooms are spread out a bit but are very comfortable and spacious. We had a separate living and sleeping spaces. Both had large televisions. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. We had two patios with great views. The kitchen was equipped with a sink (soap and a sponge), microwave, and fridge. There was a one up coffee maker and plenty of mugs and tableware. The bathroom was spacious and the water was hot. On side note- there is no air conditioning so it might get a little toasty in Summer The trials are fabulous- enjoy them! read more

Beautiful place but guest services is hit or miss. Lance seems to be the only competent person over there. But the hotel did not inform us there was no ac in our room in the middle of august. When I asked about this at the front desk, Bill (I believe) shrugged and said, it's on our website. Construction started outside our unit the second day we were here and clouds of diesel fumes were rolling into our room and I asked them what they could do about our place because we couldn't sit outside on our deck. Bill shrugged again and said I could move you to a downgrade or you can wait for another unit to open up this afternoon. This place is beautiful. We were to lucky to stay in the second floor at the Catto building and we couldn't have had better Mountain Views. The grounds are unreal. You have access to trails that lead to more trails without even getting in your car, the staff is attentive and super friendly and the rooms are clean. If I could dock about half a star, it would be solely for the lack of AC in the rooms, which did cause the room to get hot but when I asked to have two fans in the room, they happily obliged. Again, super nice hotel, close to town but removed enough aaaand super dog friendly. read more

We walked in the front door the young lady I could tell with her accent is the same one we spoke to over the phone.There Were the heavy duty plastic heavy barriers before we could get a word out of our mouths, she asked us to go get our mask out of our vehicles. We did have them with us, we just felt like at a resort they would have offered a mask for guest when they arrive. You never know where they're coming from and what their regulations are. This was the end of the fourth month of Covid at this time. As for this resort it felt like A throwback of my College campus days in studio dorms. Looks like 1970 dorms all around you. They are clean, inside and outside very outdated but functional. After you check in they give you a brown bag filled with soap and shampoos to take to your room. There is no air-conditioning on these beautiful 78° plus days. Check in is at 4 o'clock the rooms are hot or very warm when you arrive. You are in Aspen,the views sell themselves. We specifically asked is it walking distance to downtown and asked if the rooms had been renovated, updated and asked how nice the resort was? She went on to say that everything was just about a mile and a half away everything was in walking distance it's been recently renovated. When we walked we recognized the young lady with the accent at the front desk she informed us it was 25 minutes to walk downtown but there is a 24 hour shuttle. You park way over by the tennis courts in covered parking. You better hope you do not have any medical conditions and you have good health and don't mind a lot of walking. Downtown Aspen is everything you would expect it to be in more. If I was giving a review on aspirin it would be a five star. We tried to call the shuttle several times it took us almost 30 minutes to be able to get a hold of someone to get picked up by a shuttle to return to our room at 9:30pm. The following day we called for a shuttle at 6pm and was told we would have to get a cab back that they stop running at 8pm!!! We felt like we were intentionally missed lead on trying to get a sale on the reservation/ just trying to get us on the resort. I think next time will book something closer to downtown with walking distance to the restaurants that's much more updated that has air-conditioning. We are staying here a few days I woke up Monday morning at 7:30 to nonstop construction work hammering and banging. "Dream big or don't dream at all, baby." read more

I don't usually leave reviews after my good/bad experiences, but I couldn't let this one pass. We booked Aspen Meadows for three nights for mid February 2022. This location is NOT an actual resort! The website and advertisements are total scam. This location is a DORMITORY for the Aspen Institute (research camp) which closed its doors during the pandemic. We booked their "2 bedroom suite" which is NOT a resort room at all - It was a dorm apartment donated by some professor a few years ago. The owners somehow managed to get Wyndham Hotel to "manage" the property in order to make up for the lost revenue. They added a few paintings, front desk balconies to staged a hotel entrance - also built a bar/restaurant out of their conference hall. Most employees are not from the hospitality world... What you see on the website is all made up with random images. Want a cheap looking college dorm ambiance to your next luxurious Aspen vacation? You found the right place! read more

So disappointed in this property. The conference facilities are nice but the accommodations are far from worth the price. The room is large and comfortably appointed but is reminiscent of university housing. I did not appreciate all of my amenities being unsealed/previously opened, my faucet caked with buildup, lots of moths in the room. But most of all, I am furious about being put into a room that reeked of mold.(The maid came in without even knocking, saying she thought the room was vacant -- it probably is vacant usually unless there's a large conference as was the case during my stay.) When we asked to try another room, we were shown one in the same building that smelled even worse. I feel like I wasn't taken seriously at all until I told them I'm sensitive to mold (who isn't) and they better tell me if there's a mold problem there. They then spilled the beans and said that building had a leak in the basement a while ago. That's when they moved us to a room in another building that smelled much better but still had a faint funny odor. read more

Stayed here last year during the Aspen Food & Wine Festival... Beautiful on so many levels. The service was impeccable. Golf carts shuttled me back and forth between the front desk and my room on the other side of the property (overlooking a beautiful stream). The waitstaff treated us like gold. The grounds are stunningly beautiful - Aspen trees framing vistas of mountains still snowcapped deep into the spring, verdant fields of wildflowers, the aforementioned stream whose sound was so enchanting I left my balcony door open well into the night just to listen to it. Great challenging hiking trails. I sang my "Stay Away Bears" song very loudly to avoid any close encounters. The rooms themselves are beautiful, too. Bauhaus style, flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations, comfy beds and couches and a spa-style bathroom impressed me. The shuttle into the heart of downtown impressed me even more - in my many travels, I find it rare that high-end hotels offer shuttle service anymore, while the Holiday Inn-types almost always do. This was a refreshing change of pace. Going back to Food & Wine this year but staying elsewhere, not by my choice. : ( read more

This was a review that I started a couple of years ago and finally got around to finishing. So please call them to make sure that this is accurate! The four stars are all for the beautiful grounds and the large suites. And when I say beautiful, I mean stunning. There are Birch trees everywhere and we were there for the leaves falling. It was totally magical. But given the many inconveniences, this place is just not worth the money unless you are going there to ski in the winter when I suspect the experience and service is much better. First, the rooms are HOT. Knowing that late October brings nighttime weather in the 30's, we were prepared with footie pj's for our toddler. Well that was a mistake! During the day, the rooms cook with the sun. We actually had to move our little guy's crib into the master bedroom during nap time because the other rooms were in the 80-90 degree range. And the temperatures only went down after 6 when the sun was down. So forget about any nice tea time and reading in your suite to enjoy the fall colors! You must close all the shades and avoid the patio or you literally will be sunburned. And even with everything closed up, it is HOT. The curtains aren't blackout so the mountain sun turns the room into an oven. Oh, and since you'll be forced to have all of your windows open from the heat, you'll want to know that they use noisy and stinky mowers and leaf blowers right outside! So get ready to breathe in lots of gasoline fumes!! For the astronomical cost of this place, they really need to consider air conditioning. Second, the 'breakfast buffet' is not an everyday occurrence. They only offer it if they are full (which means only on some weekends or in the winter.) Although they told me they had it daily and happily took my money ahead of time to pre-pay for it! One of the criteria that we look for while traveling is some sort of a breakfast buffet, even if it is just continental style with toast, fruit, cereal, coffee and muffins. And we don't mind paying! When traveling with a toddler, breakfast is often the only good meal they get all day. We chose this hotel because they had the buffet option. We paid $24 per person, per day. Well, during our week long stay, they only had the buffet twice. When we complained, they told us to 'choose anything' from the restaurant menu. Those of you who have toddlers know that this is really hit and miss! You order eggs, and your kiddo decides they want pancakes. Which is why a buffet is ideal. little bits of fruit, one pancake, one egg and the toddler can pick and choose and ends up having a solid meal. And even ordering from the menu, many items were unavailable! When we asked to get the continental breakfast (assortment of pastries, muffins, etc) the waiter told us not to order it, they were out of most of the items and the leftovers were 'nothing to write home about' and 'came in plastic'. And although most of the staff was very friendly, there was one waiter who was so rude to us! When I expressed confusion about the lack of staff in the dining area (and that they seemed so dismayed that we were there!) I asked if perhaps we had come to breakfast too early and had gotten the time wrong? Well he actually told us that we were there in the wrong season! Well it was too late to change our plans so we dealt with it. As I'm writing this, it's our last day here. It's 3:30pm and I am sweating with the heat in the room. I stayed at the aspen meadows resort last winter and I had the best time of my life! The rooms are bahaus style and the design is very modern. We were upgraded to a bigger suite with a mountain view and the windows are huge! Love waking up to the sight of a snow capped mountain! Flat panel televisions on both the bedroom and the living room. They have a hiking path to the meadows which was fantastic! Good thing the bears were in hibernation. The best part about our stay is the free shuttle to and from downtown as well as to the airport. The shuttle leaves every half hour to downtown Aspen. read more

Absolutely love this modern appeal but reclusive resort! We stayed in the Queens junior suite and it was extremely spacious with a living area, bedroom, bathroom with dressing area, separate shower tub area, dining area, outdoor patio, and kitchen area packed with a mini sink, storage with plates and utensils, kuerig, two bottled waters, refrigerator, and microwave. There were two TVS in the suite, one in the living/dining area, and another in the bedroom area. There are hiking trails, sculptures from the aspen institute, tennis courts, fitness area with swimming pool, hot tub on site. They also have a complimentary shuttle service into town. read more

Very nice room. spacious. Comfortable spa robes. We got a room that's facing the mountain and it's pretty pleasant to view the great scenery when waking up. It has a small portion with plates utensils, fridge and microwave. It's a well equipped studio. It also has fitness club and jacuzzi. And if you want to go around town, they have shuttle services to help you go around, e.g. Aspen mountain, but not Snowmass though. Only thing i don't like is that their garage is located a bit far from the housing. You can either walk you garage alone or ask the resort staff to help with their golf carts. And in all, the staff are nice and it's a nice stay. read more

Seriously loved this place. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it easily fit the 4 of us. The pullout couch wasn't the most comfortable bed in the world but what pullout couch is? The room was clean with modern decor. Our room had 2 tvs, a microwave, keurig, and some plates, mugs, cups and wine glasses. It's nice to not have to come prepared. The managers were so helpful and welcoming, the grounds were so lovely, and the view is really perfect. It was so nice to open the shades in the morning and take in the the scenery. My dog also really enjoyed all the open grass to run around in. That was one big benefit of staying here rather than one of the hotels on main street. It's really tucked away, about a mile from any real traffic. The have a couple of tiny trails where you can take your dogs for a quick morning walk. They have a 24 gym and heated lap pool - we didn't get to make use of it but wished we did. They also have free bikes you can rent for up to 4 hours. My husband and I took them out to ride around the neighborhood. It's a fun way to see the area. They also have free covered parking - always a nice perk. I really hate paying $15+ a night to park. Since it's off-season, the room was very reasonably priced - I imagine this is not the case between November and February. They also offer a shuttle into town that runs regularly. If the weather is nice, it's close enough to walk though. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast for $22pp. It's a pretty decent spread - we filled up both days and were good until dinner. Their coffee is also pretty good - always appreciated :) Overall, if we are ever back, I think we'll choose to stay here. read more

Very cool to sit outside in the hot tub when it is snowing over the mountain. The service from front desk to bell boy is very good, we loved the free shuttle which runs very 30 mins to downtown. we didn't like the heating system which didn't work well with -6of outside we couldn't get the room above 55of. not good enough for The mountains of Colorado Favroite part was the windows which are huge allowing for superb views.Aslo the gym, swimming pool & hot tub. The resort is pretty and close to trails but the staff were awful and the rooms- meh- definitely not 4 star. Front desk staff and those working in the dining area were very put out about being there and downright rude at times. Plus there is NO air conditioning. When I called to ask for a fan for our 85 degree room the front desk gave me slack, initially saying too bad but when I pushed he begrudgingly brought one. When we wanted to sit out on the open air deck we were told no one could sit there unless you order food (it's a giant seating area and no one was there mid afternoon) but there is no where else to go because everything else is closed off for Covid. Overall everyone seemed angry or annoyed to have to deal with patrons. My partner and I travel all the time and have never had an experience like this, book elsewhere. read more

In the future I will actively seek out a stay here again! I have one suggestion to the ownership to hire a bit more help in the late night hours. It seemed like there was only one guy working (he was very tentative) however it took a bit longer than it should to get through to the front desk at night.
