The app is pretty great to use and after I do my scans it loads my progress and there is also a time lapsed portion that lets you see the work the aligners are doing. I had a lot of work done with them and yes the scheduling was good and the office staff was very helpful. However, I paid for cleaning and some minor repairs and financed additional work needed. I did not have the time to get back to them and instead of refunding the money to my debit card ($700.00) which was paid by me. They issued it to the finance company and it was not their money. Total RIP off. They tell you that you need unnecessary procedures. I was told I need a crown on a tooth but when I had the original x-rays they did not mention anything about a crown. They only mentioned it . months later. The odd thing is that 2 other people said the exact same thing happened to them. Also the actual dentist checked my gums and said they looked ok but the girl who cleaned my teeth about 2 weeks later said I had the beginnings of periodontal disease. My appointment December 20, 2024 was to be for cleaning when I arrived I was told I owed $98 when I questioned what the $98 was for they said it was for an antibiotic syringe I had no antibiotics syringe next thing is I owed $9 for a copay I have talked to both of my insurance policies with physician and Aetna and I do not have a copay with either one for typical cleaning I do not take fluoride and I take antibiotics before I come and afterwards. I don't know what type of business you are running but it seems like a scam to me. And your get out the front desk was very helpful but your gal who is seeing when you are done with your appointment had nothing to say to me felt she was very rude and arrogant. Beware of the "upsell." I scheduled for an exam, the exam found that I need a cleaning. Ok, I can see that, it's been a while. Scheduled the cleaning and the cost estimate included some things I don't need, like a $135 toothbrush and a few other random charges irrelevant to a cleaning, none of which would be covered by insurance. Also, I arrived at 9:45 for a 10:00am appointment. I was not called back for my exam until 11:00am. Then I waited in the exam room for what seemed like another 45 minutes. Afterward you are required to meet with the office manager to put a down payment on your next visit. I left the office at 12:20pm. Over two and a half hours in the office for X-rays, exam and to schedule a cleaning at a later date. The staff was friendly and apologetic throughout. I did schedule the cleaning and hopefully my office visit for that appointment will go smoother so I can update this review. My advice though, go through your bill and estimates with a fine tooth comb. read more

I had to go back because my first set of dentures were a mess. The 2nd set was worse. I finally got a serviceable set, but they were still under par. Got dentures last year. Was quoted $7000 with a 7 year warranty. Went back in to have my upper trimmed a bit. They said it would be $91.00. So the 7 year warranty means nothing. They also said that my bottoms were temporary and it would be another $800 to get the permanent ones. They tried to sell me a toothbrush for $150.00 I was also told I needed a crown on one of my remaining bottom teeth but was not told this at the initial consultation when they reviewed the results of my X-rays with me. I was the third person I know that was told they needed a $1500 crown on the exact same tooth. (What are the odds?). Finally the dentist told me my gums looked good but then when I went for a cleaning a few days later the dental hygienist told me I had periodontal disease. I was also charged for the cleaning which should have been included in the warranty. All of these extra charges should have been explained during the initial billing consultation. They give you the impression that the warranty covers everything for 7 years as long as it is not neglect on your part. I could go on and on. I would rather go toothless than deal with these complete scam artists. It is a crime and they should be shut down. If I had the money and time I would consider suing. read more

Aspen Dentals scheduling was awful. Every time an appointment was made they would try to get my husband in a day early or an hour earlier due to cancellations constantly rescheduled him. I thought to myself every time the hygienist asked what time do you want to come in I'd say just pull one out of the bag because I know his appointment will not be available after handing him the appointment card. He got the remaining money back and he went elsewhere. The hygienist exaggerated how bad his gums were. As most of you know you have to pay up front. They must have thought he wouldn't walk away in the middle of treatment. Bad call on their end. I can't believe it's legal for Aspen to deceive their clients! BEWARE!!!!! I should have read the reviews before choosing Aspen Dental in Ormond Beach. They nickel and dime you to death and bury in charges. They billed my husband $135 for a toothbrush he doesn't need. They also charged $30 for a cancer screen which is covered by our plan. Additionally when I went, they also charged me the $30 for the screen despite me showing them the insurance documentation. They said they'll credit my account. I told them I want a refund NOT a credit. I have been calling without success to get my refund. No one will return my call. I'm going to have to go in person to return the toothbrush and get our refunds. BEWARE- check your bills before paying and review your insurance so you don't get screwed. The dental care seems ok. I saw some older people in the waiting room, and it infuriates me that they take advantage of everyone, especially the elderly. It was explained to me from my dentist that when you go to "for profit" Dental groups, they need to meet a monetary quota each month, otherwise the money is taken out of their salaries, so they start to "see things" that are imaginary! I would definitely not recommend this company. I will say that all the people I dealt with, from the person who took the X-rays to the hygienist to the dentist, were wonderful. And I thought the exam was very thorough. Where I have the problem is with their business practices. When the office rep "went over" my treatment plan it wasn't in detail. I admit I was in a bit of a hurry because I had to get back to work so I didn't look all that closely and the total amount I was expected to pay didn't seem unreasonable. But when I got home and really looked at the plan I see what they did. As shown in the photo, they included a charge of $135 for a new electric toothbrush. That was never mentioned to me. And I told the folks during my exam I used an electric toothbrush. I have a very good electric toothbrush and do not need a new one. So I see this as a blatant opportunity by Aspen to get me to pay for something I didn't ask for or need. I guess they were hoping I wouldn't notice. It's one thing to ask me if I want to buy a new toothbrush, but it's a totally different thing to try to get me to pay for one in a sneaky, underhanded way. Also, even though the work I needed done wasn't going to be started until Jan. 19 I was asked to pay for more than half of it up front. I've never been asked to pay for work before it was even started. So, feeling like they are not an honest company, I called them the next day and asked them to cancel all my planned work and to refund the $526 I paid to my credit card. It has only been a few days and I am giving them until the start of next week before I call my CC company and dispute the charge. I have since made an appointment with a small dental practice to have my work done. Shame on you Aspen for trying to fleece your customers. I was a patient at Aspen, they did a lot of work some of which were two bridges. Costly by I went ahead because that is what was needed. The dentist who did the work installed them and in a day or so they became very painful. She redid them and again they did not fit. She advised I live with them a while. I tried that but no relief. When I went back she had gone to another location so the new dentist had no idea what was going on. When Covid hit the location was locked down every time I went by. I finally got an appointment and now was told to see a specialist to rectify the work they had done. No one in the office was there who remembered what had been done so I was on my own. You get one price quote then you will get random bills weeks later for things your insurance didn't cover yet they tell you they doubled checked and they are covered when you go to have whatever done. I moved to the Ormond Beach area about a year ago and decided to give Aspen a try. I've never had any issues with my teeth. I've only ever had 2 small cavities that didn't even need to be drilled. I initially went in to Aspen for my regular cleaning. My next visit I went in for some sensitivity on one of my molars. I ended up needing a filling. I made the appointment and had the work done. Less than 6 months later, I'm brushing my teeth and suddenly hear a cracking noise in my mouth. I feel a small hard object on my tongue and realize that it's a part of my tooth.... the same tooth that Aspen did the filling on less than 6 months earlier. The tooth cracked towards the back and a decent size piece of my tooth is missing. I didn't even feel comfortable going back there to have them fix the issue that they created. I went to another dentist and they said the dentist at Aspen didn't even clean out all of the decay when they initially filled the cavity. I ended up having to have that tooth filling redone and now I'm getting a crown to fix what broke off. $500 out of my pocket all because of Aspen's incompetent dentist messing up my tooth. I suggest anyone reading this to beware. Do yourself a huge favor and go to another dental office. read more

Had an amazing experience here! Another dentist in CT (I'm on vacation) screwed up real bad by only doing part of a root canal, told me to come back after vacation to get the other part done.. Yeah right!! After about a week I started getting pain in that tooth.. Each day more and more severe. At 4am it woke me up and idt Ive ever been in so much pain, went there as soon as they opened for an emergency extraction.. I've been going to the wrong places because this Aspen Dental in Ormond is the best and most professional I've ever been to. I have went to Aspen Dental for over a year now and had a lot of needed work done (rootcanals, crowns and fillings). Since day 1 they have been absolutely FANTASTIC and upfront about everything that needed to be done and showed me on the XRAYS what and why I needed to do it. The new dentist in there now is WONDERFUL, she is extremely kind and caring.. I was a total coward about going to the dentist for many, many years due to a bad experience when I was a teenager, which was why I had to have so much needed work done. If you have too thick wallet which feels uncomfortable in your pants, this place will make it fit. If you are in emergency with severe pain and swollen face DO NOT expect to get any relief. Then they will send you out for 3 days to test Darwin's Law of nature letting your kidney and liver eliminate infection out of your body. Their Free X-ray and exam - cheese in mouse trap. Being unable to sleep 3rd night, next morning I drove 30 miles to family doctor who owns his clinic. He asked Aspen Dental office to forward my X-rays to him and they said it takes 7 to 10 days to process. Disgusted by their respond he made me free x-rays(sent to my email in seconds), immediately took care of the problem and within hour pain was gone without any painkillers. Doctor also was wandering why they did not send me to emergency room in such condition. Aspen Dental treated me worse than infamous Dr. Mengele who actually did treat his patients. Coincidently my daughter also went to Aspen Dental in Port Orange they tried to convince her for unnecessary expensive procedure she did not need. She will not go there anymore.
