I should've written this review six months ago, but I really don't like posting negative things about businesses as I'm a small business owner as well. But today I went to a different denture company just one that was located a little further away from me in Estero. My experience was so nice and day and it just furious hates me to know how much money I paid Aspen Dental and I continuously complained about the ill fit, and the poorly made top arch, and they did not work with me. I really needed them to help me fix it so that when my bite would actually be able to chew I was just spending what I did with them and not being able to chew food after a year. I got so fed up I went into another company and started my financial process all over again and I'm so upset with a waste of money that was. Their team turns over staff so fast. It's not even funny. One moment you'll have a Doctor Who knows you and can help you in the next minute there's a Doctor Who has no idea who you are and no desire to help solve problems. Honestly, I'm just incredibly disappointed with my experience and if I can give the less than one star I would everything from the way that the denture fit to the shape to the reality of it looking nothing like my previous smile which I was told would be no problem at all down to the fact that they just look wrong. And they feel wrong too because of the misalignment of my upper jaw my whole body is out of whack. I'm having issues with my neck and with my back and with my shoulders is from constantly trying to even out something I will never be able to while wearing those teeth. read more

I would advise ANYONE that is thinking of using Aspen Dental to steer clear of Aspen. They have VERY deceptive practices in there billing. First I went in inquiring about lower arch implants. and my wife went in as well for a deep cleaning. I was told that with my insurance I would have to pay $4426.50 out of pocket. they set me up with financing, that was my first mistake, as it turned out it was at 36% interest. I signed the papers and started the procedure. In the mean time my wife needed a deep cleaning, so they told us that with our insurance we would have to pay $340.00 out of pocket. we paid the $340.00 right then with a debit card. A week after my wife had her deep cleaning we received a bill for an additional $573.00. And THEN when my implant procedure was complete I was sent a bill for an additional $2912.00. We were lead to believe that our TOTAL out of pocket for the two of us would be $4766.50, but as it turned out it is $8251.50, a difference of $3485.00 dollars. I believe this VERY DECEPTIVE !!!!! My husband and I were patients at this location since 2021 and were pleased for the first couple of years and even recommended them to several friends. Ufortunately they had bad and expensive experiences with them and quickly moved on. In August 2024 I got new upper and lower partials and have been having many health issues since. I wore the partials every day for four months before I started suspecting they were the problem. I was having severe chapping and breakouts on my lips and also inside mouth. I stopped using them in December 2024 but still had severe chapping until April 2025! I was allergy tested and it showed I was allergic to nickel so I started checking if they use nickel in the metal and found it was common to use to strengthen the metal. I asked them to send me Information about my partials and I think they do contain nickel. I have contacted lawyers and others to find out what rights I have, but have not found anyone who will help me. But Aspen Dental won't even talk to me to find a solution and maybe some compensation unless I pay for new X-rays and a cleaning!!! I do not want to be a patient there anymore! I am struggling every day now and have to be careful with what I eat. So many things contain nickel and I worry about "overdosing!" My disappointment is the way Aspen Dental has refused to see me and handle this situation. I have an expensive set of partials that i cannot use and they will not acknowledge my problem unless I pay them for services I do not want. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

AVOID this place. OVERTREATMENT and INCOMPETENCE. They don't care about you or your teeth. Always get a second opinion before committing to any procedure. I was told everything looked intact during the exam, then abruptly advised to schedule a cavity filling, with no x-ray shown or explanation. At the filling appointment, I was immediately given numbing gel and asked to sign consent forms without any explanation. When I asked what was going on and requested clarification, Dr. Santiago didn't give direct answers but said, "Don't worry, I'm doing it because it's needed," and ignored my request to review the x-ray. I asked about the depth of the cavity, she replied, "I'll have to look," AFTER administering two local anesthesia injections. She appeared unprepared. Post-procedure, I asked for the x-ray, again. It turned out the cavity was BARELY there (doc said herself). Why wasn't this information disclosed beforehand? The wording shifted - from "I'm at the dentin" during the procedure to "I didn't reach the dentin" when the X-ray was reviewed and the cavity was described as very surface level. The assistant said the doctor was unavailable for follow-up questions as she was "already" in another procedure, but I saw the assistant walk into her office, not the procedure room, and heard them talking for two minutes. It was clearly a lie to avoid me, which was frustrating. For the record, I wasn't accusing anyone or raising my voice. I was simply trying to understand what was being done to my tooth, as I don't have dental knowledge and no one explained anything clearly. Also, regarding billing transparency, I paid $20 when I scheduled the filling, and they confirmed that was the total with insurance. But at check-in, they asked for an additional $50. While the staff was very friendly, they pushed a whitening process by saying "after insurance it will only cost $150". We questioned why insurance would pay for whitening and were told " they give us a discount because we are in network". After completion insurance did not pay and they told us they never pay for whitening. Thus the $150 whitening cost $450. After several complaints we were told "we can't do anything and if you don't pay we will send you to a collection agency. Philepe and Aleks just did not tell us the truth. They need to examine their business ethics and lack of character. If you are looking for dental services run from this company, they are untruthful and have no regard for business practices! They tried to charge like $900 for cleaning and my insurance covered most but the remaining $250 was going to be on me, and that's an outrageous price for cleaning in my opinion. After reading some of the reviews from here I can confirm that any and all negative reviews to this aspen dental are FALSE!!! All the staff were Amazing, Caring, educated. From the front office to the beautiful dental assistant(Valerie and Lizbeth). Now, although my insurance does not cover the provider/doctor here. I had an abscessed tooth and my face was horribly swollen. Instead of sending me to the hospital they went ahead and extracted three different teeth at different visits. The infection kept coming back and now I'm in the hospital for 20 days now with a jaw bone infection. Terrible experince with this office.... I went in for tooth pain and the dentist told me i needed to have a root canal and referred me to the office in north naples. Charged me $414 ahead of time to do this and never said anything about this being the cost of a consultation. I have insurance so numerouse times I was told this was for a rootcanal and then a crown, Thinking my insurance covered all but $414.00 I was fine. I paid that. Then endodontist looked at my tooth and said I did not need a root canal and to go back and get the refund of $$$ I paid for the consult. i went back to the first dentist and the office refused to give me a credit of my $414.00. Bad advice, and explanation of costs of services etc have just cost me $414. I have looked at the other remarks on this office and cannot understand why this office is still operating. Went in for the initial free visit to get a cleaning and x-rays done, nice looking place overall. So far so good, but I was planning on scheduling a wisdom tooth removal and was caught off-guard by the price I was quoted by the receptionist. I honestly wasn't sure if I was willing to front the money or take out a loan/repayment plan given that my pockets are tight, but that didn't stop the receptionist from callously and insensitively trying to goad me into paying for the service on the spot, a month in advance. I won't be coming back. Next time I'll try to find an office that doesn't pressure me into forking over $1,500+ just to make a sale, when I'm not even sure I can afford it. I went to Aspen for the free initial exam knowing full well why it was free. Obviously they wanted to find problems they could then offer to fix. Fair enough. They found some cavities which I allowed them to fill. They worked on me like machines, no interaction besides what was required. They were in and out so fast I couldn't believe it. As soon as the numbness wore off I knew something was wrong. I had pain especially with hot and cold things so I called. They assured me it was normal and would pass. Fair enough. When it didn't pass and became worse I went for a second opinion at a different dentist. One of the teeth Aspen worked on had to be extracted and the other two fillings had to be repaired. The new dentist didn't find any other problems and they charged a fair price. Aspen is a patient mill. I highly recommend you avoid this place. read more

Run, don't walk, away from this practice. This was my first and last visit to an Aspen Dental. I am amazed that they have any patients at all. I scheduled an appointment (on-line) with a dentist, as I was having pain and they are In-Network for my dental insurance. I arrived on-time, with all paperwork filled out. I waited 15 minutes past my appointment time, listening to the front desk call my insurance company to verify my coverage, before they would even call me back. On the Panoramic X-Ray, they put TAPE over the mouthpiece to sanitize it between patients. When I did finally see the Dentist, it was NOT the one I scheduled my appointment with. She could not determine the source of my pain, but was sure I needed a root canal, but not sure which tooth. She became extremely condescending when I said I would not have a root canal. She told me to go to the ER for my pain, referred me to Endodontics, and gave me a prescription for an antibiotic. Said there was nothing more she could do. Beware of this dental office! Worst treatment and unprofessionalism I have ever experienced!!! I went because I believed I had a cracked tooth and was experiencing some pain. After almost an hour of xrays the hygenist came in to only look at and measure my gums. I explained to him the tooth that I felt pain. He didn't believe me and said everything was fine. He said I only had a small chip in the tooth next to it which did not go through the enamel. I then asked why I felt pain and he without any warning took his mirrored silver instrument an struck my sore tooth with it abruptly. I screamed out with pain and asked him why he would do that. The dentist then came in and I told the dentist what his hygenist did to me and he said he should have never done that. The dentist examined my tooth and told me a needed a root canal that he would prescribe antibiotics and pain relief so I could get it looked at the following Monday by the Endodontist. I left the office in severe pain from the hygenist striking my tooth. The dentist never called in the antibiotics or pain relief. I emailed the office later that day and tried calling but no response. I then tried call the after hours line many times over the weekend leaving messages and no one would return my call. I went back in the dentist office Monday morning and told them the medication was never called in and the emergency on call would not call me back. The dentist then came out and told me rudely that I was a problem when I first came into his office and clerical errors happen and then asked me if I was dying and laughed in my face for call the after hours number. I left his office and found a wonderful dentist in town who saw me that day. Turns our my tooth needed to be extracted and a root canal would not have helped me. I am very disappointed in this office. I had six crowns put on my teeth. The last appointment was on Friday April 30 2021. On May 4 2021 one of the crowns fell out. In between these dates I returned home to Illinois. So now I have to go find a dentist to fix the crown. I would think for the money I paid to this office the crowns would stay in longer than 4 days. The Aspen Dental practice in Naples, Florida said "we can get you in tomorrow". My wife was scheduled first. She called me from the dental chair. There's NO hygienist in the practice. She only comes in twice a week...and today isn't one of those days. So, my wife and I scheduled our day around seeing a hygienist....and Aspen KNEW there would not be a hygienist in the practice when we were scheduled. You know why? So, Aspen can collect your personal information, and then a dentist will walk into the room...and magically find tens of thousands of dollars worth of work your mouth needs. DISHONEST. I had my wisdom teeth removed here over a month ago. I've been having jaw pain and can only fit one finger tip into my opening. They allowed me to come in to take a look, but since I couldn't open my mouth; they couldn't really do an exam. I was given muscle relaxers and sent on my way. I was almost completely fine after a week, but now the pain is back and I can't open my mouth again. I just moved to the Venice beach area and tried calling the Aspen Dental here and they said they couldn't see me because I owe a balance of $230, which I was confused about because they ran my insurance and collected my total before my surgery and even made me pay $40 when I went back in to have my mouth looked at and had me sign a form that I don't owe anything else. I will pay the $230 in a week, but don't want to wait that long to be seen as my mouth is in excruciating pain and obviously, something is going on because of the surgery that their surgeon performed on me. On top of that, the receptionist continually puts me on hold for 5-10 minutes and then ends up hanging up on me. read more

The place is very friendly, I had a great experience from start to finish. As a new patient I got all my x-rays done for free. They do offer a limited x-ray if you want to focus on a specific issue. The dental assistant who took my x-ray was very professional and I got Seen by the Hygenist who was very detailed on my gum condition. Then I met the Dr. who was friendly and very understanding, she explained everything and was very clear with my treatment plan. The office manager then sat down with me to go over pricing and explain the order of my treatment base on what should be a priority. Over all Aspen dental was great. read more

Hubby came in for an extraction he was already in pain got the procedure done we head to Walgreens to pic of prescription three hours after the extraction the clerk tells us no meds was sent in for him! This is total neglect on the drs part which was dr. Ortiz finally we call the aspen operator bc by this time my husband is in pain they send a prescription the next day we go to pick it up it's only an antibiotic no pain pills! So I call the office where he got the procedure done tell the girl who picks the phone up we tell her we don't have pain pills we tell her the name of the pills we have she says it's a pain pill come to find out it wasn't it was an antibiotic so do t go here the people do t know what they are doing! Scheduled an appointment to replace a crown on a rear lower molar that was displaced the previous day. The tech argued forcibly telling me I needed a full set of X-rays. I had replaced the crown temporarily, and the tech asked me to remove it with my fingers. That obviously failed, and then she took a tool and tried to remove it while hitting my front teeth with the tool. I was there over an hour without seeing anyone after that. The dentist never came in. I finally walked out, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The entire experience was a disaster. read more

I tried. At first blush, you feel good about this place. In subsequent visits everything goes downhill.... fast. Expenses are huge after the initial free visit. I could accept this if their ability to give a coherent receipt acceptable to insurance companies that they do not bill directly were possible. They can't seem to do that. After several tries and several junk reports from their terrible system, my insurance company is having me do everything manually because their office support though friendly isn't competent and their computer system can't seem to deliver a "paid" coherent receipt. Beyond that, after allowing myself to be railroaded into the necessity of deep cleaning of my gums in certain areas, I paid the $1000 to discover that they basically went under my gums in a few places and put some expensive antibiotic goo in there.... A thousand bucks... wasn't even for my whole mouth. I think that pocket test is designed to empty your pockets...effectively. Had a filling replaced which turned out to be extraordinarily painful (NEVER in the past) and months later I still can't chew on that tooth.... a friggin' filling. I'm so done. My insurance company has steadfastly refused to pay out on the "bills" they provide so I'm screwed every which way. I know their overhead is high but get the basics right and people will take the rapacious expense a bit more graciously. read more

Unfortunately I must share the very poor experience recently at this office. I was brought to the X-ray machine at 9 and in the chair right after foe a cleaning and it was completed by 9:20. That will tell you how it went. A 20 minute cleaning without X-rays which were never reviewed with me by the doctor. I asked prior to taking them if there was going to be an extra charge and I was told no. The cleaner chipped my tooth which the dentist had to repair prior to me leaving and simply explained it away as being there before I came in for the cleaning. Absurd! When I checked out I was asked to pay for the X-rays that I have never paid in the past with the same insurance. Needless to say they have definitely lost a customer. I wouldn't mind if the 20 minute cleaning was thorough and complete but it was not. The dentist that came in an attempted to explain things away lacked care and compassion and never apologized or had any interest. I don't recommend this establishment read more

I made an appointment for my 90 year old mother, she is deaf and uses a walker because she broke her back last winter. We arrived 20 minutes early, said we were new and filled out many pages of personal information. We sat and waited almost 45 minutes before we were asked what we were waiting for. When I explained we were waiting for our appointment, they said we didn't have an appointment, it had been canceled that morning and they had no idea why. We wasted about 2 hours of our time, and even speaking to the office manager did no good. They could have cared less about our patronage and never mentioned that they were sorry. read more

I would not recommend this South Naples facility to any of my friends or family. After spending three long hours in their office, receiving novacaine for a procedure I did not receive, I did not feel the competency level was high with the staff. I was going to have dental work done there but have changed my mind and am requesting a full refund as I had no work done in the three hours I sat there. Dr. Ortiz was very nice but I will not return to this facility. This is a new facility so there were no reviews.
