That was exactly how I felt walking into Park Family Dental. And for me, that's a BIG deal because I have pretty extreme dental anxiety from a childhood dental trauma. I originally went to Park Family Dental for a cleaning and a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Long, who I had researched extensively beforehand. The practice already had thousands of amazing reviews, but what really stood out to me was that Dr. Long is the only AACD Accredited cosmetic dentist in the area. That was especially important to me because I knew my case could be a little more complicated due to my childhood injury, and I really wanted someone with that level of training and expertise handling the cosmetic side of my treatment. My hygienist, Catalina, was so sweet and patient. She knew how nervous I was and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the entire time. As it turned out, my case was definitely more complicated than I expected. What started as a cleaning and cosmetic consult uncovered a longstanding infection that I had absolutely no idea was there and ended up requiring some pretty extensive dental work. Being a medical professional myself, I was immediately impressed by the level of clinical expertise in this office. They were able to do a 3D CT scan right there, and I was able to consult with Dr. Macedo, who specializes in endodontic procedures. I ultimately needed multiple root canals as well as an apicoectomy with bone grafting. Dr. Macedo and her assistants, Miranda and Mary, were amazing. I honestly never knew it was possible to inject dental anesthetic without feeling a thing until Dr. Macedo did it! She and her team were incredibly gentle, patient and thorough and somehow made procedures that sounded absolutely terrifying to me go incredibly smoothly. Once all of that was taken care of, Dr. Long and his assistants Katia and David worked on the restorative and cosmetic part of my treatment, including the numerous crowns I needed. One of the things that really sets this office apart is that they have an on-site dental lab, which meant their ceramist, Lance, was able to be directly involved in creating my final smile. Lance is truly an artist. He and Dr. Long personally worked with me to make sure we got the shape, color and overall look exactly where I wanted it. I am honestly in awe of how my smile has been transformed. After everything that needed to be done, the final result is more than I could have hoped for. I won't go so far as to say I actually look forward to going to the dentist , but in just a few short weeks, the entire team at Park Family Dental managed to put fears I've had since childhood almost completely at ease. Considering they got me through root canals, an apicoectomy, bone grafting and extensive restorative and cosmetic dental work during that time, that is saying A LOT! I went to Dr. Payne for my wisdom teeth extractions. I had all four of mine out at the same time…read more My two at the top were just surgical extractions, but my two at the bottom were both partially impacted. He does consultations and followups in the afternoons and surgeries in the morning. I went to my consultation and had to watch a little video. The nurse warned me not to be frightened by it, but it gives you a little bit of information about wisdom teeth and the surgery and the post-care. It could be helpful, but I had used the internet before going there to do my research. When that was over, Dr. Payne came in. I had brought my own x-ray and he looked at it and we talked about different options for anesthesia and the risks involved with the surgery. Then the nurse came back in and had me sign all the release forms over everything Dr. Payne and I had discussed. He had those really cool handheld tablets to sign on too! On another day, I went to a consultation with Dr. Contino. There was nothing bad about either doctor, but I decided to go with Dr. Payne because everyone in his office was extremely nice, he provided me with more information, the office itself was clean and surgical, and everyone in the surgery room is trained in ambulatory medicine, you know, just in case. I had my appointment two weeks after the consultation. I was a little nervous, but I was confident that he was a great oral surgeon, check his website, he has the credentials! Everyone was very accommodating and I was given a blanket because the room was a little cold. As soon as they set up the butterfly IV, I was out, and the next thing I fuzzily remember is sitting in the car with cotton gauze in my mouth trying to tell my mom things. After that I was fine. I used and replaced the gauze for an hour and a half after and then I stopped bleeding completely. I didn't feel any pain and didn't take any pain killers at all! I mean, my mouth was stiff and ached a bit, but I wouldn't call it pain. I was a little swollen, but one of the drugs they give you in the IV these days are anti-swelling medicine. I couldn't have asked for a better surgery and it is not as scary as people make it out to be. If you have to have your wisdom teeth out, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Payne.

I gave dr payne office info for my surgeon. when I went in to discuss cost and opportunity to have implant procedure, they took me for new ct scan and then went through explanation of what an implant is. I have had two previous so that was not necessary and a waste of time. They then wanted to schedule and I say I came for cost and I need to know that. To my shock they told me my visit was $475 and the implant would be $3100. My cost at home would have been $2000. I should not have been charged for visit. Total rip-off.

They prepped me and Dr Moe came in at 7:30am and we discussed the procedure My lower wisdom teeth were impacted and both has large cysts that needed to come out as well Dr Moe told me that both teeth are very close to the nerve and I could have permanent numbness and tingling on the lower side of my face when he takes them out The other option he told me was to cut the tooth off and leave the root. This way I would not have the permanent numbness. Once the tooth was cut off and it would be lose then he would have to remove it We went that route. Took the top of the tooth off and left the root. All in all I am doing ok following the post procedures with Ice and taking the med he told me to take Have not gotten to the pain killers as I am trying to avoid more drugs in my system. He suggested I get it done before the end of the year, but he had no availability to extract the tooth. The x-rays and consult was $190. He recommended Dr. Moe, an oral surgeon to extract the tooth. They scheduled an appt. for me today and Dr. Moe's office called me yesterday. They said they will need to take x-rays, as the ones they received from Dr. Makram's office weren't good enough (seeing a theme here) and they might need to do a "360-panoramic?" x-ray? Dr. Moe's office said they will need to charge me another $210 for a consultation and x-rays and I will have to come back for the extraction. I really question the integrity and ethics going on here of both offices. Every x-ray isn't good enough. In reading the other reviews, wow! consistent theme.

I came for the winter from Germany to sunny Naples with 4 new implants and needed the crowns. Though these implants as a brand are quite unknown in the U.S., Comfort Dental Implant Institute managed to get the right parts. Preparing for the crowns the implants had to be uncovered. Before surgery I took the prescribed pills, no pain during the procedure. Also the following hours and the next day there was no pain. I could feel the sutures but did not take a single pill. 4 weeks after that my crowns should be ready and at this point I will give an update.
