Was contacted two days after I scheduled a basic cleaning. Spoke with a lady who came off extremely rude and impatient. She attempted to up sale me on numerous things, including x-rays, claiming they would have to do the x-rays to determine the cleaning they would do. I asked her if I could just get a basic cleaning, that I wasn't looking for anything extra. She told me that it would not be possible without opting into the xrays and more. I asked her if she could give me any of the pricing for the services she says is required. She told me they didn't have access to any of the pricing. Seems pretty shady. Glad I came to Yelp. Makes sense that they are involved in numerous lawsuits citing fraudulent activities. I will be looking for another place to go. read more

I have never worn the dentures after 3-4 fittings Aspen dental couldn't make them work. Now they want to sue me for the money for the denture I've never worn. I lost a tooth from my dentures one night while eating. I didn't know a dentist, I looked up on line and found the perfect place. I made appointment for the next morning. I was a little disappointed at first when they couldn't replace the tooth as I was going out of town in 10 days. After seeing the doctor she promised me I would have my new dentures by the following week. They were ready and have been great. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful at a very trying time. Update to earlier review. I went to my new dentist appointment today and guess what ...Aspen Dental on Medical Center never sent my xrays to my new dentist. I visited Aspen, filled the form out the the person at the counter said he would immediately send them...he never did. My new dentist requested xrays numerous times...and they still did not send them...now I'm out $90 dollars for new X-rays. As far as treatment goes...I do not need the treatment that Aspen said I needed, I have one cavity that Aspen did not diagnose. The great news is that the two crowns I needed to get done ....there will be no co-pay as I have two insurance ...at Aspen I was required to do co pays....so glad my bill went from over $800 to $O. I would recommend people stay away from here...and if you go there...guard your wallet. read more

It was the worst dentist office that I've ever been to in my life. I had 2 root canals done a couple of months ago. I couldn't get in touch with anyone about scheduling a follow up to get my crowns. I called everyday for 3 wks & left messages. No one returned my calls. When I finally made it up there, I was told that the system had been down & the phones weren't working. I am in search for Periodontist and called Aspen Dental, after the conversion of what the initial visit would be they couldn't or wouldn't answer any of my questions. They just wanted to get me in and told me that I have to have consultation done and full mouth x-rays. I asked about consultation prices and they said it would be discussed when I come in, the answer was the same for x-rays. I asked about the possibility of having cleaning done on the same day they initially said yes, but when I asked them to confirm it they said that they could not guarantee it. First person I talk to sounded very young and she put me on hold to verify some information with her manager. Basically they were evasive about all questions. When I asked if there was anything they knew for sure they hung the phone on me. Giving them a benefit of doubt that this was an accident as soon as I called back thy hung the phone on me again. this all happened on July 18th at 2:44 PM of 2023. I would not recommend anyone to go there. It appears that they are all in for money and cared less about their patients. I would be scared to find out what kind of charges I would accumulate and service that would be provided. Very uncaring and unprofessional. read more

Almost every appointment I still had to wait about an hour to be seen. Once it was 2 hours and I just left. They are friendly but so unorganized. One appointment I called to confirm and they said yes. Then after waiting forever they take me back they say oh sorry your tooth hasn't actually come in yet. It was crown. Aweful customer service!! They had my insurance info and was let in. They came mid session to interrupt the procedure saying my insurance was not accepted and that I either pay out of pocket or find another in-network dentist and pay nothing. I opted for the 2nd option since I had a valid insurance. Since then they kept sending bill charges for Xrays and exam. My husband is a current patient and his upper denture is about to break in two after Aspen repaired it 3 months earlier. Rang to make an appointment to replace the entire denture as it is about to break and he is scared of eating anything hard to try to baby the denture. Two weeks from the day of calling is the first day available even though it was told them its pretty urgent. That is extremely poor customer service for a current patient and we will be looking elsewhere out of pure necessity. Pretty annoyed and will not be returning. read more

I had severe dental problems at a very young age and required dentures since I was 20. Well I have been self conscious, not wanting people to know over the years. My bottom ones just recently broke. This clinic got me right in and fixed them at no cost to get me by until I get my new ones. Julie, Dental Assistant was so nice and empathetic to my needs. Jill, Lab Tech , was able to fix my dentures without having to charge me. THANK YOU!!! Oh my gosh, I absolutely love Dr. Cheryl Coggins. She is an amazing Dr and would recommend her to everyone!! Not only did I get jerked around with scheduling and billing, but when work was done incorrectly, no one believed me. They sent my husband home with a completely EXPOSED tooth and refused to let him come back for his permanent crown, even though they'd told him to come back that day. My teeth are actually much, much worse off. These people are swindlers and liars and their front desk staff could not care less about you. read more

I went here today to get a Wisdom tooth pulled. Cecily Williams DDS pulled my tooth. She came in and done the job in like total of 20 second not counting the time it took for the numbing to take place. You just can't get that anywhere else. Most people want to rock back and forth and get on top of you. She just pulled it. Didn't even feel it when she said I may feel pressure. I know what that pressure feels like. It's horrible. I didn't feel a thing. Very nice people. Going to the Dentist is not a great experience for anyone. But I will say this was great service and I will go back for more repairs. Every time I would show up for another appointment I would wait out front for hours. They frequently forgot about me sitting there wasting my vacation time off from work. They talked trash about my insurance plan. They sold me products and services I did not need, nor want. They claimed I had gum disease but my new dentist said it was all a lie. read more

A friend went here and had no problems, so when my tooth was bothering me and I couldn't get in to my regular dentist I went here. Everyone one was very nice, the wait was like any other place I've been too. They couldn't help me with my tooth right then, but made appointment for later in the day. Not only do I feel that the commercials for Aspen are very misleading but while I was there the dentist and hygienist scared me with talk about my gums and presented me with a 1900.00 "plan" to correct the issues they saw. I left there and 2 days later I went to Dental Excellence and had an exam. I didn't tell them anything about the first "diagnosis" so I could get an honest opinion and they were very complementary of my teeth and gums and saw no issues. Love love love this place! Would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist in the Murfreesboro area. They do everything they can to make every patient that walks through their doors feel just as important as the next. The entire staff is super friendly. Dr. Butler, Mrs. Lori, Mrs. Courtney and both Kayla's especially, always make me feel like they go out of their way to make sure I know they genuinely care about my well being. Would give negative stars if I could. Went one for X-rays and was there over 3 hours and my mouth was swelled up from infection and they made a couple cuts in my mouth from shoving the metal thing in to do the X-ray even tho it would not fit good bc I could not open my mouth wide. Then I go back a week later to have it removed I get there at 610pm I get called back at 640 and they made me sit in a chair from 640 until almost 830 and never did anything to me. I had to get a refund and leave with a hurt mouth bc of the unprofessional work they do in here. I'll deal with a hurt tooth until I find a diff dentist that can actually see their patients at the time of the scheduled app. Since my visit I've heard a lot of other bad or extremely slow visits to this place. So think twice before to to the Murfreesboro Aspen dental unless you have want to be put in a chairs for hours and never even talk to a doc. read more

The worst experience I have had with dental service. First of all you have to wait way past your appointment time to get into the chair, then once in the chair another wait for dentist to come see you. Second their denture money back guarantee is worthless. I went into them in February of 2019 had several visits thru to June of 2019 and they could never get my dentures correct. Every time I went in for them to try to get my dentures correct they and only made them worse. Even the dentist agreed to this point. So after months of visits, and many hours of my time wasted, I ask for a refund. Well guess what. They still have my money and I have no dentures. I have called several times only to get the run around of "I will talk to the office manager to check on your refund and call you back" only to never recieve a call back. Giving this business one star is WAY too generous! The company runs quite a racket. I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. They spent over an hour determining a dental plan. They refuse to give me a standard cleaning until I completed the dental treatment plan they felt I needed. When I arrived, it was late afternoon so I wanted to brush my teeth. I used a new toothbrush. I brushed way to hard or the bristles were hard. I explained to them that my mouth was sore because I just brushed with a hard toothbrush and that I normally use the rechargeable Oral B brush. The hygienist labeled me with gingivitis because my gums were swollen. I explained again that I just brushed and used a harder than normal toothbrush. She dismissed that. Set me up on treatment plan with deep cleaning. She said that I had to that before they would clean my teeth. So three visits until my first cleaning. I don't think so. I have a say on what treatments I will have done and not have done. They did the same to my husband. He went in for a cleaning, they didn't clean, then they set him up on a treatment plan. $5,500 later he would get his normal teeth cleaning. He does need a crown and they refuse to put one on until he has 8 visits completing deep cleaning. Now I am not sure, but last I looked, we live in the USA. We have a voice to any medical treatments, and can refuse treatments. I checked with my insurance. We don't have to have any treatments we don't want. Our teeth and gums don't have to be certain standards in order for insurance to cover the visit. Stay away from Aspen Dental. Oh, they also upgraded all the visits to "name brand" in order to charge more. They were not happy when I requested a detailed printout of each charge and visit. They slipped a lot of unnecessary charges. Consumer Beware! I am also filing a complaint with the BBB and Consumer Affairs. People need to know the shady practices of this office. Just for the record. I got two additional opinions. I will be choosing one of them for my dental needs. I only chose Aspen because my current, private insurance available to me only had one dentist to choose from. I have cancelled my dental coverage effective today. read more

I recently visited the aspen dental in Murfreesboro, TN for some dentures and some extractions. Let's just say I was offered excellent customer service and great chairside experience from the entire dental staff. I had a very bad experience years ago and let's just say I haven't been back to the dentist until know. Embarrassed by the way my teeth have all broken the dental team took me in and made me feel as if they had my best interest at heart. Doctor Butler ,Lori the dental assistant went above and beyond on the day of my surgery that exceeded my expectations. The office manager Brittney was very understanding when it came to helping pick each financial options that best fit in with my monthly budget.
