Almost always, a very positive experience when I visit. Dr. Boston is phenomenal and his office/clinical support are second to none. I've been treating with Dr. Boston since shortly after the Racine location opened. I'm a cancer survivor. However, the chemo treatments had wrecked havoc ion my teeth. Dr. Boston and his team of professional, friendly staff brought back my smile, in more ways than one. However, Dr. Boston has relocated to another practice in a nearby town, and my last visit was not as pleasant when I visited with one of his replacements. The doctor injected me with far more Novacaine than was necessary for a simple replacement filling, then left me in the chair for over 30 minutes. I started to have difficulty breathing, swallowing, and couldn't even close my eyes, and was very frightened. No one came to check on me. It's my understanding that Dr. Boston will again be spending some time in the coming year at the Racine location. I will return, but only to be seen by Dr. Boston. read more

That was the filthiest dental office I was ever in, I waited over an hour to see someone and then was put into a room to get more x rays after I just had them done less than 4 months earlier...they took x rays with the camera pointing up towards my brain that I've never experienced before....I finally walked out after 2 hours and the dentist came to my chair...because of how filthy the place was. Sold me dentures with guaranteed satisfaction and 7 year warranty. With no dental insurance I paid out of pocket, not cheap! First I suffered terribly with the so-called temporary dentures, developed a huge ulcer under tongue from bottom denture. I told them if this is what the permanent dentures would be I wanted my money back. I eventually adjusted to the permanent dentures but it did take much longer to get used to than my prior pair. (Another dental place, he retired, no longer had any one there doing dentures. In comparison very little pain. Those dentures felt and looked better.) After a couple years a tooth fell out of the upper denture, I remembered being told if you glue it in yourself it would void the warranty, so I called and was told I should have been coming in every 6 months, check the dentures and my mouth or the warranty would be void. I was never told that. But they would take care of it this time and I would have to make an appointment, I did. They checked my mouth and glued the tooth. I told them I was NOT paying for an appointment that's BS. They told me I had signed a contract when I had the dentures done. Show me the contract where it says all this and my signature. I was told it was free this time. Never shown anything. 1 year goes by, same tooth falls out again. Remember WALK INS welcome! All they can find in their computer is my appointment last year (No other records!?!) Manager so sorry, before her time, don't know. She can't get me in today. She can only make an appointment next week. I don't need an appointment! Just glue the damn tooth in! Its under the 7 year warranty and tomorrow is the 4th of July! NO GO! I wanted to switch the Aspen Dental as my new dental office in town. As a new patient, I requested to just get a standard cleaning done (something covered by insurance), but I was told that the dentists and hygienists get to decide what treatment/cleaning plan will be getting done. I've never experienced this at another dental office. You would think any dental office would push for clients to get any type of cleaning to promote better dental health- not pushing you to spend money for a cleaning you may not necessarily need at this time! Everything was going great until today. I had my daughter get a checkup here. She needed a cleaning and a couple fillings. Booked the appointment, went, paid, and all was good. So I had my young adult son go for a checkup. He called the lady there was speaking. He handed her the phone and she said "great news you were approved for financing and it will only be $1700 after. My son explained later that she was a "new manager" and "doing things right". Apparently she wanted me to finance a years worth of work upfront and I was approved for financing without being notified. No work was done so I told him to come home and we're not going back. It seriously seemed very sketchy as no other dentist has ever done this. I do not trust this place. read more

Update: So, it has been 6 months since my husband had his teeth removed at Aspen. Not once during this 6 months of healing time has he been able to wear the temporary dentures that were made for him because they were just too big and did not fit his mouth. We scheduled the appointment to get his permanent dentures, which we were under the impression that he would actually get a NEW pair made for him. NOPE. They told us that they just use the temporary pair as his permanent pair and reline them. The question was asked to the tech as well as the dentist "If the temp pair never fit, how are you magically going to get them to fit now? We got told they are a prosthetic and it takes a while to get used to them. Ok, here's the thing; we understand that a prosthetic takes some getting used to but when it does not fit properly there is no way to get used to that. We were told that the bottom dentures are supposed to float a bit. Ok, but that was not our problem. They were too damn big- not just floating. The top dentures were also too big and makes his top lip stick out and he cannot close his mouth when they are in, yet Aspen wants to keep telling us that's how they are supposed to be. No they are not!! We visited a 2nd dentist with the "permanent" dentures that we had from Aspen and got told that they are just too big and are not the right size for his mouth. Funny since we've been trying to tell aspen that for 6 months. In fact, the Aspen dentist told my husband to his face (more than once) while I was there they have a money back guarantee. It was almost like they just didn't want to fix the actual problem because then they would have had to admit that they were wrong. A few other people I know have gotten dentures at Aspen and had no problem so I don't believe it is all locations just this one. Needless to say we are getting our money back since that is their policy and going to get dentures that will actually fit his mouth the way they should have in the first place. read more

I have been going to Aspen for quite some time at the Mt. Pleasant location. I had good/great experiences until Dr. Morton took over. Last summer I had several procedures done and suffered a great deal of pain for months. The office would call me scheduling additional appt's. that I could not attend due to the continued pain. They kept saying next week we will put you down over and over. One tooth that had severe pain the filling fell out and after 3 or 4 mos. The pain calmed enough to get it fixed. I called and they denied to see me because of so called cancelled appointments (Remind you appointments the office was making not myself). I than was informed of a bill for $257 and I didn't pay it due to fact that I still needed filling replaced by another dentist. I was told to come in today and once in chair I was literally bribed by the dentist to pay bill in full, and never come back or she wouldn't fix the filling. I was either going to fight collections or just finish the filling, so paid bill. I cannot believe a dentist would bribe a patient but yes that is the truth and next step for myself is a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. People be cautious who you let fix your teeth and beware how business practice is all about money and not quality for many dentists. read more

I called two weeks ago and told them that my partial had fallen out and that it was one of my front teeth all I needed them to do was to fix it they gave me an appointment a week and a half later I show up they want to do some Invisalign scan and x-rays I told them I just need my tooth fixed they tell me it's free I say fine I do all of these things the dentist comes in talks about how she wants to fix all my other teeth I tell her again I just need my front tooth fixed she said well we really need to clean it before we do that so will make you another appointment. I said you're not even going to fix my front tooth she said no so I got up and walked out I just needed my tooth fixed and it still isn't done. They are average Dental establishment . Some good and bad with my experience. I am not sure if they're pricing is any better than others. The staff was friendly. The dentists themselves are abit of a mixed bag. I did not find them overall effective at checking my teeth and simply relied solely on the x rays for virtually the check up That is never been the case with my prior dentists who check the actual teeth manually as well for trouble spots. read more

The folks at Aspen were all very nice and helpful and I didn't have a long wait. They took me back right away. A girl named Stephanie worked with Dr. Boston. She was just so nice and made sure I was comfortable. And she like always had what the Dentist wanted. He just put his hand back and she always put the right thing in it. I would highly recommend them for their exceptional customer service and quality of works. I just needed a few crowns and they did great. Headphones would be nice when you're laying in the chair. On Tuesday 3/12 I arrived for my 6:00 PM dental appointment to have 3 fillings done. I was told the total of the fillings at my prior appointment of $450 and I knew that I had previous balance of around $200. I have been an Aspen dental patient for a couple of years as I like Dr Boston and some of the other Drs/Dental Hygenists at this facility. I ran into some financial trouble about 2 years ago accrued the small balance on my account. When I arrived for my appointment 3/12, I asked if I could pay $75 that same day and then the remaining balance in full when I get my 1st paycheck from my job on 3/15/18. The receptionist, a nice woman named Robin, needed to get Pre-approval from the manager. The on site manager, was involved with another customer, who became upset and walked out of the building after saying something smart to the manager. Then, the manager turned her attention to Robin, about my plight, took all of 15 seconds to listen to what was going on and told Robin in front of me that she wouldn't accept the $75 payment, if I didn't pay the $450 in full I would have to reschedule the appointment. I told Robin the office staff to reschedule the appointment and then told the office manager that its a shame, Aspen Dental says they will work with you for payment options and then when the time comes, nothing can be done. The office Manager then turned in swivel chair and said very nastily to me 'you don't have to have services here. we have been more than patient with your past due balance. I responded 'that balance is because I lost my job and took some time to find a new one, that is why I am willing to make the payment $75 today as a show of good faith until I can pay off the ENTIRE balance Friday 3/15 when I get paid. The office manager again responded, If you cant abide by Aspen Dental policy, you don't have to have services here and you can go somewhere else. I responded, I don't need you to tell me where to go and what I can do, I am grown woman. I turned my attention back to Robin as she rescheduled my appointment. Today 3/13, I woke up early and found a dentist facility. I will no longer retain services from Aspen Dental based on this altercation with the office manager that was highly unprofessional. Prior work that I had done was always paid in full, until I went through transition with losing my job and then finding another one. This office manager has no empathy or sympathy to peoples individual situations. I understand company policy and my need to pay but what I don't understand is the office manager turning away my ability to pay the partial payment and then the remaining balance in full. she did not ask me if I needed a payment plan. she talked to me in front of other people that could her the conversation, and not in her office in private conditions. Her behavior was unacceptable and uncalled for and resulting in Aspen Dental losing a patient and money. When I finally did make it to a brand new dentist, Dentalworks Greenfield WI, I was told that my mild gum disease was not properly treated at Aspen Dental with the appropriate cleaning & now I have gingivitis and have to get the dental cleaning that Aspen Dental should have been giving me all along. I am so glad the office manager pissed me off enough to change facilities. It was definitely a blessing in disguise. read more

Was a new patient to Aspen dental , I had previous cavities filled elsewhere with no problems, they said you have five small cavities would you like them to get filled I said yes had them filled. I had this done in January 2019 and 7 months later July 2019 I am still having pain she dug too far down and hit the nerves and I've been in pain for seven months. Their recommendations was to pull 3 of the teeth they filled and root canals on other two, of course at my expense, I would not recommend this place. DON'T GO! They are awful. I originally had 3 procedures schedule for my second visit, a cleaning, a crown prep and a cavity. They cancelled the first cleaning because the hygienist was in an accident, which was going to be before my 3 procedures. When I came in for they stuck me with novacine (no warning) then I asked why they were doing that before my cleaning, the hygienist was still out (but it would have been nice to have been told that before showing up) then the dentist finishes preparing the crown, but didn't do the cavity. Apparently I needed the cleaning first before I could have gotten the cavity filled. So they had me come in and only did 1 of the 3 procedures without telling me beforehand they were only going to do the one! Now I've been in pain since they prepped a crown they said I needed, my mouth didn't hurt, I didn't notice any issues but they said I need a crown. They prepped one and now I'm in significant pain. I couldn't even get the cleaning because I can hardly brush my teeth and floss without it hurting let alone allow someone to clean. They couldn't get me in to check on me for a week, they determined it was the bite causing the issues and drilled it down a bit. The pain wasn't as bad but it still is hurting so much that I wanted to go in again, but they couldn't see me until another weekend when they had placing the crown scheduled. When they went to take the temporary out it was excruciating just to the touch (even after novacine) so they couldn't replace it and had to refer me to an endodontist, I had to find one that would take my insurance then tell them to refer them for me. Now the novacain has worn off and it hurts more than it did before, I'm in so much pain and called to see what they can do. All they can do is tell me to take ibuprofen and Tylenol, mind you that's what I've been doing every 2 hours anyways. So now I will probably be awake and in pain for the next 18 hours until I go to get a root canal, luckily at another office. If you're in any pain seriously don't go, they don't seem to care at all and they can't get in to see you. read more

I am new to the area and needed a new dentist. I chose this location (30 minutes away from me) because they were one of the only locations with later hours which I need for my work schedule. I scheduled my first appointment and everything was fine during first half of the appointment, however, I ended up waiting for the dentist to see me for close to 45 minutes without anyone coming in my room to update me with how much longer to wait. I left the room asking if I was forgotten about and the assistant assured me the dentist would be right with me, but still ended up waiting an additional 10 minutes for the dentist to tell me nothing that the hygienist hadn't told me already. Then, there were no later cleaning appointments available until one month after my initial appointment, which was fine with me. However, the day of my appointment comes and I drive 30 minutes one-way after my 14-hour work day, and I check in, only for the receptionist to tell me they tried contacting me via email and phone to tell me they were "over-booked" and couldn't fit me in that day. Of note, I had no missed calls or emails that day, even with the receptionist verifying my phone number and email address and her saying they tried contacting me several times. I am highly dissatisfied with Aspen Dental, as this is my first experience with them. What is the point of making an appointment ONE MONTH in advance if you're going to end up "overbooking" your hygienist, and then tell me the next opening for a cleaning is for three weeks later? Absolutely ridiculous and would never recommend this location to anyone. read more

Also they refused to clean my teeth, insisting the only treatment they would do for me was a deep cleaning that would cost thousands of dollars. Dr. Morton and Stephanie were fantastic! I was a bit nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed but the process ended up being so easy (considering the fact I had teeth removed)! Dr. Morton was extremely friendly and informed me what was about to happen with each step. She worked quickly and expertly and kept such a calming attitude the entire time. This dentist is the worst I've ever experienced. Dr. Boston did 4 crowns and a bridge I spent tons of money and faithfully returned to him for a 5th crown but no he passed me off unceremoniously to Dr. Morton. Dr. Morton applied my 5th crown and she drilled my tooth down too low did not apply a post and ny tooth broke immediately into my temporary crown which she wouldn't admit to and proceeded to make me an expensive real crown which obviously didn't work because my tooth was broken. The horrible dentist glued that crown on over 15 times without admitting that she messed up. I've told many of my friends about her and plan on telling many more she is careless and rude. One friend who only came in for a consult told me she cleaned his teeth found some cavities and then proceeded to tell him that he needed all of his teeth pulled and she woukd make dentures for him. Another friend had a tooth filled and she left the tooth so jagged that my friend cut her tongue way to go Morton. All I wanted was my money back and for them to apologize but I got nothing do not trust her. read more

I was very pleased to they were able to work with my insurance to get me an immediate transfer . Got an appt the next day wonderful got 2 molars removed awesome. Was in pain all weekend had a horrible weekend. Went in the morning to let them know about the pain, only an assistant saw me, played middle man for the dentist,irrigated the area where the molar was ok fine. But I told them the pain medicine didn't even work from day one. Had to take ibuprofen with the pain medication in order for it to at least take the die off. Nope "we don't normally prescribe more than one pain med, it's normal to have some discomfort, I undertstand that, but the pain is worse than before having them pulled at least it was intermittent pain and ibuprofen would work,but now it don't take the pain away just takes the edge off.. read more

I was having a dental emergency was in such pain from a broken tooth for days. I called around to find this place. The website stated they took all insurances. They got me in the same day since it was an emergency told me over the phone I could get my tooth pulled for $157 and they could do it same day. Turns out they did not take all insurances so they offered me a discount I took it beats laying in bed crying in pain. So I drove 37 minutes to the next town over in an hour and 45 minutes the only progress made was xrays. The rest of the time I sat in the chair watching home improvement shows. Finally the dentist comes in and tells me what I already knew going in and I actually told them my tooth is infected it needs to be pulled. So she goes on to inform me your tooth is infected it needs to be extracted. Thanks doc so lets get to that. She laughed at me and told me she was wayyy to busy to do that today. I started crying told her I called and they told me this would be resolved today. Her response was that dang call center sorry about that but they dont know what they are talking about.I again crying pleaded with this women going on about how I can not go another day in the amount of pain I was in. Nothing absolutely zero help. She rushed me off into the billing room where they then began to tell me it would be almost $400 just to pull it. I left crying that I just drove all the way there for am emergency appt that did nothing. What was the point in this. It not only wasted my time but it prevented me from getting help I desperately needed. It was a scam. They gave me false information just to get me in the door only to do nothing and try to charge me over double what they quoted me. So much for an emergency dental office. Id suggest you go anywhere but here. Unless you enjoy waiting almost two hours just to do xrays and be shoved out the door. My adult son called them LAST WEEK because his tooth cracked and he is in a lot of pain. They got him in the next morning so they could take a look at the tooth and it resulted in them doing a full dental exam in which they told him he needs to have $10,000 of work done to his mouth. They told him the tooth needs to be extracted and that he could call in a few days to schedule an appointment because the tooth is infected. He has been taking the antibiotics they prescribed but has still been in so much pain. Last night after he ate, his whole jaw was throbbing so bad that he was crying and he called his dr. The dr. said there was nothing they could do and he would have to call the dentist. Of course it was after hours, so he just put an ice pack on it and took some pain killers. He called the dentist this morning and told them that this was an emergency and he needs the tooth out today. They said the soonest they could get him in is Wednesday. TODAY IS FRIDAY!!!
