They're awful when it comes to billing. I needed a filling and cleaning, I walked out with an itemized list of things I needed and started asking questions. I started digging deeper to find out that they were billing random things without going over care or plan of action or what was being billed. One thing on the itemized list was listerine. Why bill that if I could refuse it and get it at the store? And then a few other things weren't even relevant to my care at all. When calling to cancel, who I was talking to got really snappy with me. I was already told in a previous call that it would be canceled. They didn't do it so I wasn't exactly happy about having to call again. When I told them, again, I wasn't happy about how I was billed she told me I could talk to a doctor. I said "it's okay I am going somewhere else." In which she replied "I think the doctors here know more than your sister who just works a front desk." I told her it was my SIL who is a dental hygienist and so she knows what she's talking about. In which her final response was, "fine, then you should go to her. Byeeeeee." And then hung up on me. Not professional, not someone who should be at the front desk talking to people. I'm now understand why the reviews here are garbage. read more

I purchased motto which is Aspens version of Invisalign. The bottom teeth were not straighten. I went to a different location to have them finish the Invisalign but after bringing me into their office and wasting an hour and a half of my time they told me I would have to start the entire process over and pay for the Invisalign again. The Motto states "If you don't love your results once treatment is finished, simply contact your doctor and you'll get up to two bonus sets of aligners to put the final touches on your smile." So slightly frustrating and wouldn't recommend. I would recommend checking any other dentist office before going here. read more

Never in my life have I ever been treated like that in any place of business. I had to ask who was in charge of this place. He spoke up and finally made her leave the area after she continued to yell. He told me it was a teachable moment. I would NEVER go to this Dental office again! I was a long-time patient. Back in 2020, Dr. there did lower molar crown - good work. Pleased with result. Mid-February, 2024 they did full mouth x-rays (bitewings AND panarex). They found no issues to handle at that time. I went back mid-January 2025 (less than one year later) for 2d opinion, due to possibly needing 2 crowns (1st opinion by different Dentist by just thoroughly examining my teeth). Aspen Dental insisted on me having x-rays again. I have no pain, no discomfort and no issues but they insisted I have more full-mouth x-rays. I said I'd just had multiple throat and chest x-rays and my Internist told me to NOT get any more x-rays for a good while. I told Aspen Dental that THEY HAD full mouth x-rays of me from less than 1 year prior. I explained my situation to the dental assistant and asked if the Dentist could just look in my mouth to see if she saw what the 1st opinion Dentist found. Dentist at Aspen Dental refused to even look in my mouth unless I got more x-rays. I asked why they couldn't use my x-rays that THEY took from 11 months earlier? They said they must take new x-rays. I asked her to just look in my mouth to see if she could see anything indicating that I needed 2 crowns. Aspen Dentist refused. I'm betting my life on the fact that Aspen Dental can make LOTS of $ by sending x-ray charges to dental insurance. Why else would they tell me every time I walk in the door (even 6 months apart appointments), that I have to have x-rays?!?!? I think Aspen Dental may be a scam organization. Be careful. read more

My son went to Aspen Dental right after they opened in Sidney Ohio and was told that he had 5 cavities and some gum issues. He is 21 yrs old and I thought it was weird that he would have gum issues so I made another appointment with another Dental Office and they did a full evaluation on him and he had NO cavities and definitely had ZERO issues with his gums. This is my first time here in a while but had I usually go to dental Works but they are mostly Closed all the time lol but I had good luck in the past here scheduled a visit again for a routine check up and cleaning. My app was around 1 but my phone rings at nine in the morning they called said they are running late I asked how long they said an hour. So I aid ok I'll Show up at Two pm and the aspen dental said oh no we need u here early or at the same Time As your app. I said fine and went along. Got there checked in filled out new patient stuff and they got me in basically they took some pictures of my teeth did the 3D scan and then took me out front to go over options. They tried me sell me some 4000 dollar invisible line bs I was shocked and upset and I said hell no. They wanted to know why and I asked when am I gonna get my teeth cleaned. They said the hygienist isn't even here. By then I was totally pissed and asked why I came in for. It was a waste of time they also wanted to know about a 300 dollar procedure as there step down I left my papers and walked out. They started so nice and trying to convincing us to spend the most money to get the better dentures material and bla bla bla so as my mother insurance recommended this place we trusted and I payed extra money to get the best for my mom! Bad choice!!!! They can not fit any denture, the technicians are not good They look like practicing with the patient many times ,even the Dr. Who is there and I talked in person with her she assumed that because my mom is an old lady she is complaining with no reason and most of patients feel the same when the denture have to fit !! Bullshit!! My mother used those dentures trying to be obedient and hopefully it works and nothing!! We back many times to be supposed adjustment and again on caused her painfully and sores!!!! Her gums are irritated and when she use those dentures it looks like a horse denture and nothing according to her face ,and she is whistle when she try speaking. I called to their office and I told them I want my money back and the assistant said ...we will see with the financial team! Seriously????? How many times she have to go and suffer pain trying to " adjustment" those dentures who looks much better in a horse......without to offense a horse. Horrible Experience. From the surgeon being rough and careless. I was in severe pain. I had to go back and have a bone cut out. To say I disliked my dentures, would be an understatement. I applied for a dental credit card, and I am still fighting with them on my balance. Aspen has a money back guarantee. Unfortunately this is not the case. I complained and sent my dentures to the in-house lab because they rocked and did not fit right. Three years later, I am still wearing my temporary dentures. I spent over $5,000 for Dentures and dental work. The issue is that the dentures do not fit. The last time I returned they put a new liner in them and said " You are always going to have problems with your dentures, you should of tried implants or the post." Before I had the extractions for these dentures I asked about the implants and post, and was told that I was not a good candidate for this procedure. Yet this dentist said I should of had them. Every time I go in, they have new personnel. They are not consistent as employees, it is rare to see the same dentist twice, so you get a different story every time you go in, This is a true dental manufacturing business, they do not care how you are or anything about you, just collect the money. Different managers every time I go in. You will have an appointment at 10:00 am and way wait in the lobby or a dental chair for 45 minutes. Poor management, a money machine. My recommendation is to never go to a warehouse type dental clinic, find a local independent dentist, better trained and better schooled and better business people. If you go you are going to have many issues, beware. read more

I unfortunately inherited bad teeth and didn't take the best care of them as a kid so I had to get Upper dentures at the age of 24. Aspen made that first temp set of dentures for me right after I had my first child and made it so I never had to go without teeth, well after having a kid and being a single working mom it took me longer to get in and get my permanent set, like over a year longer than I was supposed to wait. So I finally got my permanent dentures and hated them at first because I had been so used to those temporary ones.. after a few months and actually getting used to them I realized how much I loved them and how many compliments I get on my smile. I even have friends who are dental assistants elsewhere and we're mad at themselves cause they had no idea that I was even wearing dentures. Well today I had an issue on my way out to my car and had taken my dentures out to readjust and dropped them on the ground and chipped the FRONT tooth! So I called they were able to get me an appointment for the next day, but let me come in to make sure they could fix them today!... so I take them in and they advise they will have to order the exact same size tooth but they have one that's almost the same that they can put in they wouldn't have to order and showed me the tooth, I couldn't even see a difference in size even when held up to each other so I said that was okay I just wanted my teeth fixed ... Then they even had time to fix them right then and there all I had to do was wait for them to do it! I had to ask about price because of course single mom, and the sweetest assistant went and checked and made my day with how affordable they made it for me since they didn't have the exact size tooth. I cried a little because I was just wondering how much this would set me back but because of good people who do good business I don't have to worry about picking which bill to pay late to cover dental costs. I have never been somewhere where they make it easy as easy to get the work you need done and set up ways to help you afford it like they do! read more

One star. Wouldn't recommend. As nice as the staff is, any time my interaction with a place ends in the Emergency Room, I just cant recommend. Pleasant staff, absolutely, but... my visit ended up in the Emergency Room. The etching used to prep your enamel for a filling is 40% acid. That acid eats away soft tissue, that's why the instructions on the etching say to remove with high volume suction. It apparently sat on my soft pallet and burned away tissue. I was numbed up so I didn't feel it at first, just a really sour taste. Once the numbing started to wear off, the pain gradually increased. When i asked the dentist about it, she claimed the hemoatagent had sat back there causing the burning and that it would go away quickly. Did she lie, or was she just incompetent? Hemostatic agents react to blood not saliva, and shouldnt have done anything to my throat. The instructions on the etching tell you to go to the ER in case of an exposure, so that's where I ended up. Unfortunately, there's not much to be done about oral chemical burns but to rinse the area and apply a topical anesthetic, so for a week and 2 days I gargled with cloroseptic 4 or 5 time a day. The damage caused my uvula to swell, that started to interfere with swallowing quite a bit, not enough to prevent swallowing but imagine having a finger in your throat while trying to swallow. On the up side it only hurt a little to talk, but I couldn't eat anything with any sort of texture because it felt like swallowing a hot dog wrapped in sandpaper. read more

Appointment for an abcess this morning. Nobody bothered to show up. I was 1 of 3 people who waited for 30 mins. Finally got through to a person at their 800 number who said she couldn't get an answer at the office so she talked to her manager who said they must have had an emergency. She also said they reached out to everyone to cancel appointments. They had my email address and phone number but no one contacted me to cancel. Not that she was telling the truth about someone reaching out because if she and her manager had to assume the office had an emergency how would they know anyone at the office contacted patients? And, they obviously didn't do it from their centralized scheduling (the 800 number I called) since they weren't even aware the office was closed until I called them. "Unprofessional" is the nicest word I can think of to describe the idiots at Aspen Dental. read more

Gave me the quote on how much it would cost to correct them and tried to get me to schedule an appt. To whom it my concern. I am a patient at Aspen dental. Now from the experience I have, if you don't buy their expensive dentures you get treated like dirt, called a liar, and put through a lot of pain. My experience started bad and kept going downhill since. Now I am a reasonable person so the first time I set up an appointment and drove all the way to the store they canceled saying they had no doctor on duty (I have been there a lot in the last six months and still haven't see anyone I would call a doctor) now this happened three times. With my job it is hard for me to get time off, so when I do I got to have things happen. So here we are three weeks from the original day I called to get an appointment and finally getting to see someone. Yea, my first real appointment. They sat me down and began telling me how this will work, first they will take x-rays, then impressions, then extractions, then temporary dentures and then after you heal for six months you will get your permanent dentures. (this statement is important, because for the last 5 months they told me I will start with a temp set and once healed get permanent set) OK we made it to the day of extractions. Everything going okay up to here. I show up for my appointment, didn't have to wait to long. They call me back and escorted me to a room, as I walk by the room on my right I see a guy in the patient chair, feet up watching TV (they have TV's mounted to the patient chairs) I think he is just that another patient. The girl leading me back said have a seat and I will go let the doctor know you are ready. She turns around and walks over to the guy I saw chilling watching TV. I could hear her tell him, his extractions are ready. The man jumped out of the chair, (His exact words) "Why the hell do I have to do her god dam extractions just because she is pregnant." (I swear exact words) he barley muttered a hello when he sat down beside me and started sticking needles into my gums. (now I'm no doctor but any numbing drug I know of needs a few minutes to start to take effect, unless they made one that works instantly, like I said I'm no doctor.) this guy didn't wait he picked up a pair of pliers and started yanking. (OMG I wish my worst enemy will never feel the pain I did in that chair) after a couple teeth removed this guy is breathing like he has ran a marathon, ("I actually asked him if he was okay") he gets to pulling again and I feel and heard something break, he said "Oh I just broke one off" like it was no big deal. He finally finished and stuck the so-called temporary dentures in and told me to rise with warm water. I left and drove home. From here it was a lot of visits because they needed adjusted as the gums healed and shrunk. on one of those visits I tried to tell them something was in my lower gum causing it to swell and heal slower from where that guy that pulled them broke off a tooth. After a lot of talking among themselves they took x-ray and began to tell me in a very rude way there is nothing in my gums the x-rays show nothing. that night when I got home I pulled a large sliver of a tooth out of my gum (I do have that sliver and pic) ok long story short it's on another one of those visits after being told over and over I have a temporary set and will get a permanent set in six month I was told no these are me permanent set. Because this whole time every visit I would ask stuff like can I glue them in? should I get the cleaning tables? And on and on I would ask. their answer was always the same "Not until you get your permanent set." So now I got a set of dentures that are too wide and loose that nothing will hold them down. This last visit they said I have two choices upgrade to the more expensive ones that will cost another 1,500.00. or they can try to fix the ones I have at no guarantee. Among all this the insurance sent me a check for 2,000.00 to pay them for the extractions. I have not given it to them yet. They keep calling asking for it I told them I wasn't paying any more until I get teeth that fit they scheduled a visit last week and asked for the money I told this lady all that is mentioned here. Her response again was to upgrade at another 1,500.00. because I'm threating not to pay they are making a bottom set even though I told them the top is to lose. Lied to get my wife to schedule an appointment after being very clear about our insurance not being accepted there. My wife was going to call another place but they talked us into it due to my wife being in crazy amounts of pain. Was told they could give her some relief even if there was nothing they could actually do to help other than Xrays and a referral. Told us of payment plan options affordable by anyone! So we were all for it at that point if they were going to work with us on payment then the overall cost didnt matter that much to us, would be well worth any amount to have my wife out of pain and have her smile back. We go and they tell us that its going to be $10,000 (slightly more actually) and that they needed 60% up front at the date of the surgery...3 days later... HOW is this a payment plan ANYONE CAN AFFORD? HOW is that even a PAYMENT plan at all? The work I had done on my own mouth was 10x more extensive than what she needs done... and mine was $3800.... This place is not about making you happy or your smile or any of that, ITS ABOUT MONEY thats it. They are obscenely rude to you if you are not handing them cash on the spot. They LIED , bold faced LIED to get us to waste our time and come into this location. No payment plans for anyone making less than a 1/4 million a year.. Aint no wonder they had so many open appointments, Nobody wants to deal with rude condescending yuppie b**ch who wants to work in your mouth, if you cant stand to talk to them, HOW YOU EXPECT US TO LET THEM WORK ON OUR SMILES?!?! I don't have insurance so I came here. I should have paid a little extra to go to a family practice. You Will never see the same dentist twice and will be lucky if they speak English. I was told after honestly admitting I had not been to the dentist in a few years and they found 2500 worth of work that needed to be done including a root canal on my front tooth. I'm glad I got a second (and third) opinion bec I don't need one at all!!! None of the teeth need fillings they said I needed and my current dentist thinks I probably didn't need the one I did have them do. Which they overfilled and my teeth now don't close completely and not to mention the doctor kept giving me shots in different places I really don't think he knew where to inject the novacaine I got 11.shots total and felt the entire procedure. My face was swollen and bruised for a week! They only want to try to upsell you. The toothbrushes and "prescription antiseptic mouthwash" they sell you is for no other purpose but to make them more money. They care none at all about your health!!!
