I'm leaving a review, because I almost didn't go today due to all the bad reviews on here - but it turned out to be a fantastic experience (I mean the best getting ur gum cleaned can be). I had very early stages of gingivitis so they told me I needed a deep gum cleaning and I was super scared from googling the process - but Alan (the hygienist) was very kind. He was patient with all my questions beforehand and very caring throughout the entire procedure. It hardly hurt - besides the expected uncomfortable ping here and there! I was surprised how painless the whole thing was, even afterwards I wasn't too sore! All around it was a great experience. It was quick, caring, and affordable. I don't have insurance so the first exam and X-rays were free! And then I used care credit for the rest. So yeah in summary, it was a good experience and Alan rocks! So does the receptionist... I think her name was Erica! She helped me so much with all the scheduling and referrals - I'm also getting a root canal from a specialist up in Indiana! Quite the month. read more

BEWARE OF ASPEN DENTAL! SCAMMERS! Bait and switch, that's all I can say. I called a couple of weeks ago to book an appointment based on Internet advertising for Denture realignment. Specifically from their own website: "Fast denture repair done right, right here. Whether you have a broken denture, a hairline fracture in the base, experiencing sore spots or difficulty chewing, your Aspen Dental care team is here to help." The following link gives details that they do advertise this common service, and nowhere on the site says they don't work ony on dentures they have sold, which is the reason they gave me for not wanting to realign my denture that I never was able to wear. https://www.aspendental.com/dentures/denture-repair-reline/ I have a bottom denture that was made for me by my dentist, byt due to medical issues at the time, i wasn't able to get fitted properly with the denture, so i needed a realignment. Aspen advertises this but when you go in they say they don't. From the initial call for the appointement, to going into the office today, sitting down with the tablet entering my medical information, to them telling me "WE DON'T REALIGN DENTURES FROM ANOTHER DENTIST, was a complete waste of 2 hours! I was also told by the attendant at the front desk when I told her, way didn't someone tell me when I called to make the appt, and was called by the office to confirm my appt where again the denture was mentioned? They lied, false advertising, proof! They did tell me that I could get a "new" denture from them, when I already have a"new" denture that I needed to be fitted for. that's the bait and switch. Complete scammers. They'll do anything to get you to spend thousands of dollars. A repair THEY did broke only a few months later and not only did they refuse to fix it but tried to charge me thousands for a bigger fix. absolutely horrible service. A nightmare. All I wanted was a checkup and a cleaning. My insurance pays 100%. 1 hour to take a ton of X-rays. Office rooms had pealing paint it was like they moved in without redoing anything to make it nice. It gave me the creeps. After the hygienist checked me out and my X-rays she suggested I needed to have a tooth extracted. Then some gal no introduction just her name comes in to check the tooth. Then a dentist again no real introduction comes to look at it. They were very excited about this. You know why? Because they wanted to charge me $325 for the extraction. But my insurance covers extractions 100%. They also wanted to charge me $235 for a cleaning. My insurance pays 100%. They're scammers and rip off artists. Do not, I beg you, do not go there or trust them. When I said no the insurance verification gal walked me to the door and said good by. Great customer service. If I could choose a zero rating I would but I'm forced to give 1 star. read more

I had a good experience at this Aspen location but ever since Allison left their service and customer treatment went downhill. They are not honest. I had a crown put on last year and now the same crown is giving me problems and they had an outside specialist come in to their office to check on me and determined that I need a root canal. They are in network with my plan but the specialist they bring in to do special services for them does not use my current plan even though my plan covers root canals and Aspen is in their network. The sad part is that I was lied to at first by the attendant who told me my plan does cover root canals but my plan after calling them told me with proof otherwise and when I called them back to tell them they told me another story that the speci they use at their office does not accept my plan even though they are in network with my plan. Aspen's billing practices are suspect to variations. One time they took the insurance payment as agreed. One time they charge the non-negotiated rate for one person and the negotiated rate for same treatment on one person. Recently they raised rates and now pay bill in office at time of service and then get bill from corporate for standard rate because in GA they don't have to pay the negotiated rate. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PAYING. I (we) are no longer using Aspen. read more

Dr Daniels, Allison and team are absolutely fantastic people. They immediately treat you as family assess your issues and assist in helping to determine what your best course of action is. They also help with some financing and the team went above and beyond with my care. I would highly recommend! I have twice had to have oral surgery and the experience was top notch. I'm a nervous Nancy when it comes to anything with my mouth and was completely relaxed comfortable and confident by the time that I left their office. read more

The worst part of this entire issue, is I have amazing insurance and it pays 100%. So obviously I didn't agree to any of the said "quote". I really wish I could say something good about this place, but they've got a literal scam going on and it appears that collection companies, the credit card company that they open an account and max a card out from, nor aspen care a single about about the person they're completely screwing over. Thankfully for my own sake, the credit ding isn't the end of the world, but that could sure devastate some people. I went in and had to get a quote on work that THEY thought I needed done, even though I was there for one specific tooth and reason. The quote was around 3000 and that was for a removal, surgically placed implant, cleaning, two caps, and I asked for that to be it even though I only asked for the removal regardless. I just stopped them. It's Just a quote anyways, RIGHT? Well I had the tooth removed and scheduled to have the implant done. I ended up calling about two weeks prior to my appointment and asked to cancel until I had the time to reschedule due to my father passing very unexpectedly and having to take care of my mom and all else involved. They were happy to do so and that was that. Well a month later I start getting collection calls from the company that would have done the credit IF I GOT THE WORK THAT WAS QUOTED DONE. I did not approve anything. Not a single thing. These people instead of quoting me, straight up charged the full amount to a credit card in my name without approval of any kind at all whatsoever. I thought, alright well I should be able to explain that to the credit card company and they'll just get the money back and call it good maybe? I really wasn't sure. Never experienced something like that. Well when we left off on the phone call it sounded like that was the plan. Well not I'm getting calls from collection after collection and they literally don't care that it wasn't approved or legal at all. Actually the lady from APR just went off screaming at me about how I'm responsible for this payment and she will see that my credit is ruined LOL. What in the world did these people just get me into to? One second I'm dealing with my father dying and the next getting slapped with a $3000 bill for something that I didn't even see the paperwork for let alone approve. So to conclude this bulls@$t situation, I really hope people see this and don't put themselves in the situation I somehow managed to get into, because these people are scandalous, heartless, money hungry crooks. Like real life actually are and I never say crap like rhat about companies or people in general. The fact that this company exists is mind boggling to me. I have no idea how someone like this still gets customers and isn't shut down by the police in all reality. I know if I opened a card in someone's name, I'd have charges following up right behind it. These people do this all day with a smile and get to dance on the money they steal from people that are clueless. I'll be getting that money back one way or another, but they've now wrecked my credit, which will take 10 years to fix. What an heartless crappy thing to do. The front desk lady didn't help me with the payment plan when I asked about ($39). So, told me I have to "qualify," which was proven to be wrong. I ended having to get credit because she didn't want to help me. Now they have extra money from me because she didn't want to do her job. I just want a refund. They are unconcern and lack empathy. only care about money. I never had a worst experience at a dentist. read more

I went to Aspen dental due to a crown on an implant coming loose. After X-rays and a cursory examination I was told that it wasn't possible to cement the crown back onto the implant. I was assured by the dentist that it would not fall off. I was then presented with a treatment plan totaling $16,000.00. This would have been for a full upper denture! No other option was presented to me. I knew at that moment I was going to see my regular dentist on Monday. The only reason I went to this dentist was that I didn't think the crown would last the weekend. I told them I had to discuss this treatment plan with my wife and left. Needless to say the crown fell out while I was having finger. I reconnected it with Fixodent. I had to re cement 3 or 4 times over the weekend. Went to my regular dentist on Monday where it was cemented with the real dental cement and it lives happily ever after in my mouth. Sorry for the rant! read more

I always get cleaning done every 6 months. So while I was there in December I scheduled my next cleaning for June. Two weeks prior to my appointment I received a call stating that they are double booked and if I could move my appointment by at least 30 minutes later. I told them no because this was scheduled 6 months prior (wasn't a problem then). And also I have other commitments that I'm unable to move. I was told ok please come at my previously scheduled time. About 2 days prior I received another call, I confirmed that I'll be there as scheduled. I arrived early and waited for the doors to open. I was the 2nd person to enter the building and check-in. I was notified of an previous credit so I paid the difference. I then waited for 20 minutes while the 1st and 3rd (based on how we entered) patients went in and received their services. The 1st patient came out, I'm still waiting. I placed my son in the car and requested to have my appointment cancelled and a full refund. At the writing of this review only the difference I paid on the date of service was returned. I'm now told the remainder will be 7 to 10 days later. Won't be going back ever. I came in for a new patient exam on 08/02/2018. During the visit, I was told I had bone loss and would need a Periodontal Cleaning. I explained to the hygienist, dentist and office manager that based on a previous experience--I had misgivings regarding dental procedures and insurance. My wife was told by a different office that she needed a Periodontal Cleaning, only to have the claim denied by the insurer. The insurer denied the claim 3-4 times before eventually partially covering some of the cost. They advised her to get a pre-determination next time to confirm whether a procedure would be covered (which saves time, money, and headache). Back to my situation... I had a consultation with the office manager and he assured me that he would follow-up thoroughly to ensure it doesn't happen to me. The office manager emailed me on 08/22/2018 and confirmed that he partnered with the insurer and verified that everything should be good with the procedure. Based on my wife's experience, I contacted the insurer directly on 09/06/2018 to check on the status of the pre-determination and they informed me that the claim hadn't been filed until 08/29/2018. This concerned me, as the office manager informed me that everything was good to go 7 days before the pre-determination request was even submitted. I called the insurer on 09/17/2018 to follow-up and found out that the pre-determination had been denied. They cited that there was no evidence of bone loss. Finally I call into Aspen Dental today and request to schedule a regular cleaning--only to be told by the person on the phone that they can't schedule anything but the Periodontal Cleaning. I asked if I could opt-out and was told no. So basically, this office is REQUIRING that I pay for a procedure that won't be covered if I want to continue business with them. This is what medicine is coming to--and it's unfortunate. I refuse to give Aspen Dental any more of my business and will tell every soul that I can about my experience. read more

Before my service, I was required to pay $507. The representative from your office kept insisting that the insurance company be contacted and that an x-ray on my account was not covered. According to the insurance company, my responsibility for payment is only $294. The amount I paid you was $507, and Aspen dental had refused to refund me my $213. They are committing a criminal act by refusing to comply with the insurance company's rules. You are in network there was no reason why I had to pay that additional $200 and that. You guys are criminals, and I will report you to the Dental Special Investigations Division. Carolyn refused to provide me with a corporate number and refused to refund my money or assist me. In the benefit of claims it even says that D0380 in an in network procedure and is considered an inclusive procedure. Stop saying that my bill is pending because the insurance company has already paid it and they can confirm it and they don't mind sending you a receipt. I am also going to report this business to the Better Business Bureau so no one else gets conned out of money. I will let the public know to check their bill because you guys are fraud. read more

I received a price at exit. I asked why it was so much higher than the web site. The check out rep said she needed to check the prices online. She then discounted over $700 dollars. The fact that your corporation initially tried to over charge me $700 made me question company ethics. I asked for a break down of price ie cost. It did not match the discounted price. I Had a terrible experience with another Aspen Dental office years ago but i thought i would give them another chance. My wife called the Acworth office yesterday and told them what i needed exactly and they said they could handle the job and made an appointment for this morning. I got there and I had to fill a lot of papers which i am used to. I was then told that they had to take an X-ray which surprised me since my problem was very simple and should have been a 5 minute job. The doctor came in after the X-ray and the paperwork i had filled out and she had no idea why i was there and then told me that they do not offer the service i needed. I looked at her and asked her why was i there and she just shook her shoulders and told me must have been a misunderstanding over the phone. I am sure they are going to charge my insurance for the unnecessary X-ray and office visit. what a waste of my morning. They made money and I lost valuable time. read more

I was looking for a new dentist and decided to try Aspen Dental. I checked out the reviews and people had plenty of good things to say about the staff and services. Staff: The staff is extremely friendly and greets you the minute you walk through the door. The Dr. and hygienist were gentle when examining my teeth and once it was determined what my treatment plan would be, the staff explained every step that needed to be taken to get me to where I needed to be. Overall Experience: This was the best experience I've had in a long time. The Dr. is caring and extremely detailed when explaining options. It was easy scheduling appointments and the office was easy to find. Prices: I also found that the services are not as expensive as my previous dentist. The cost is affordable and there are multiple locations to choose from. It appears the staff keeps the patient in mind when recommendations are being made. Decor: The office is bright, nicely decorated and the color scheme is warm and inviting. I will recommend this office to my family and friends as I felt like I was their only patient while I was there:-) read more

I have had nothing but a great experience with this dental office. I was very hesitant at first because I've heard how these chain offices are usually not that great, and you become a number in their system. However, that does not hold true at Aspen Dental in Acworth. I have been to the office three times. The first was an emergency visit; they took care of me promptly and referred me to an endodontist, then I returned for a crown build-up; they did the build-up, and it was not a simple build-up, but Dr. Bree Koch did AMAZING, and then I went back for another visit once they had the permanent crown. I was there 30 minutes at most, which is great considering my busy schedule. Dr. Bree Koch is incredible; she makes you feel comfortable the entire time during the procedure; her assistant is phenomenal; they both explain everything in detail and answer all your questions. Also, I had a deep cleaning by a hygienist due to gum disease, and she was terrific, and it was pain-free and super quick. I have not met one person there who I disliked or gave me a bad feeling.. This is coming from someone who has a huge fear of the dentist, but when I walk in there, I don't have any anxiety or fear; I feel comfortable and know I will be taken care of and have as pain-free as possible with a procedure. Everything is great about this practice, from the front office to the financial coordinators to the assistant to the doctors. I have told multiple people about this practice I would recommend them to all my friends and family. I'm just so grateful I found the practice. I moved here from another city, and I've taken my daughter to three different dentists. I was not impressed by any of them, but we have an appointment with a pediatric dentist soon for her, but the other three were horrible, so I never made an appointment for myself at those practices. read more

They told me they tried to call and let me know, but they didn't leave a voicemail, send an email, send a text or anything. I use my phone all day for work so I would have noticed. Dr. Chisholm was my daughter's doctor-she had her wisdom teeth taken out two days ago. After the pharmacy across the street informed us that it would be 5 to 6 hours (and even that they could not guarantee) before her script could be filled, we asked the doctor if he would transfer her prescription. She had vomited after surgery, and I didn't think that she could sit in the car for six hours. We had a long drive ahead of us back to my home in north Georgia. My interactions with him were very upsetting. He was condescending, rude, and arrogant. He called me "sweetheart" and said that it was my fault for picking that pharmacy. Almost 24 hours later, the next morning, the prescription still had not been filled, and my daughter did not have the pain medication she needed. Her night was brutal. My experience with him was so horrible, we will not be even returning for post op or even trying to get him to fill her prescriptions. The supporting staff was great with my daughter. Even though she almost passed out before the procedure and vomited after, they took good care of her. Because of this doctor, I could never recommend this facility. Do your homework and research turn around times for the pharmacy you choose. We were from out of town and didn't know. Also, once a script with a narcotic is sent to the pharmacy, this doctor will not transfer it. Dr. Chisholm would rather you spend the night in the Kroger parking lot. read more

I have not gone to this location . I called to see about a tooth extraction . they do not do extractions on sat i would be seen at no cost but would have to schedule another appt on monday . After some thought and a inventory of tylenol i called back only to discover that it can run upwards of 300.00 dollars . There could be some financing on this but you need to be in the chair to find out. Arrived 15 minutes before my appointment. 45 minutes later I was still in the waiting room. I watched 3 other people come in and sit for a couple of minutes before they were called to the back. They had appointments; I had an appointment - what gives!! Nobody came by to at least inform me of any delays. When I mentioned that I was leaving, the lady who walked me to the door said "ok bye - call us when you want to reschedule" - that was all that was said when I said I needed to leave. I called Acworth Dental from my car. Loved my experience at the Acworth Aspen Dental. Everyone was super nice & attentive. I had gotten dentures somewhere else that were so disappointing that I couldn't wear them. I was very afraid of paying for another set that I couldn't wear. I took a pic of myself younger with teeth to help. I could not be happier with these beautiful teeth. I had to hug the lady, Mona, who made them. She is downright an artist. I love them! They gave me my life back. I can smile & laugh & talk, talk, talk. I don't even have to wear denture adhesive, which I hear is very rare. I went back a cpl times for minor adjustments, & was treated very, very well. This dental office is absolutely wonderful. Everyone seems to get along, & even enjoy working together. Seems like a great crew to me. I know I got the attention, kindness, & courtesy I deserved every time I went in there. read more

This location is so awesome! I absolutely love them! I went in to get extractions and full dentures; they gave me an affordable price that helped make it happen. They also made me feel so comfortable; every interaction with any staff member was more than pleasant. My husband went in for a consultation on dentures. From beginning to end, our experience was FANTASTIC! From the front office staff, the clinical staff, the doctor, and the lab team; we were treated with courtesy, respect, and kindness. Having worked in the dental field years ago, I knew what to expect. However the level of customer service and patient care were over the top. From our first visit to my husband's dental surgery, four days later, everyone was amazing. And to top everything off, his dentures are AMAZING. Horrible experience. I made an appointment in person for my teeth to be cleaned. The day before my appointment I decided to call to see what do I need to do before I get there.. you ready for this? I was told I will have a panoramic X-ray along with some other X-ray and then the hygienist will need to see what kind of cleaning I will need after seeing them the dentist will come in afterwards to tell me the status of my teeth. And lady but not least the office MGR will talk to me about my insurance (Bc bs federal by the way) on what they will or will not pay. It's gets better I'm in the Officr 45-60mins and then I will need to make an appointment For another day to have my teeth cleaned. Are you serious? Like who has the time to make 2 visits. Acworth, GA office charged me for services I did NOT receive. It is going on 3 months now that they will not reimburse me. They said that I sign consent for treatment but I never received the treatment. I had a simple extraction, that is it. However, they are billing me for Bone Rplc Graft per site AND Guided Tissue; procedures done for implant. I am not getting an implant on the tooth and besides, they never did the work anyway. I went to my regular dentist for advice/second opinion who stated that there is no evidence of the work mentioned ever being completed. My insurance denied the claim because they said that since an implant charge would accompany the claim and since I am not getting an implant, they will not pay for the work. Besides, as I stated earlier, I NEVER received work for the charges on my bill. I never give reviews but this is one worth writing. read more

I went in to Aspen dental where they charged me $70 for being a new patient. I ended up having to have a tooth extraction a week later and had to pay for half of the procedure that day. The doctor prescribed me antibiotics to help the swelling go down, but it did not. The swelling only got worse which landed me in the hospital the same night with a fever. The ER doctor told me the swelling wouldn't go down until the tooth was pulled and prescribed me three different medications. I called Monday to see if I could have the tooth extraction earlier because nothing was getting better and they told me they couldn't go in to remove the tooth because the swelling didn't go down. They also told me they gave me the antibiotic because I'm allergic to medicine which IS NOT the case. To make matters worse, they told me to go to the ER doctor to have them prescribe me something stronger and drain the abscess in my tooth. Overall, do not come to this place. They are rude and only care about taking your money. The blonde doctor is an asshole who does not care about belong you whatsoever. They took my money only to tell me to go somewhere else because they wouldn't help me. read more

I wish I could give this place a ZERO. The best thing that I can say about them is that at least they didn't have the nerve to charge anything for my visit. I went in on an emergency basis, in absolute agonizing pain from a completely cracked tooth. First, the office is kept beyond freezing. I was so uncomfortable from the frigid temperature in the office that it made my visit even more miserable than it had to be. No joke, it couldn't have been warmer than 45-50 degrees. The office manager even made the comment that they always kept it that cold, even in the summer, and it was so cold that she could feel the hair growing from her legs! Now, my teeth are beautiful. I take care of them, and I'm told constantly how beautiful they are. However, according to the hygenIst (not an actual dentist) I need $26,000 worth of dental work. I went in to fix my ONE broken tooth, and relieve myself of the pain from that cracked tooth, and come out with a ridiculous estimate for unnecessary dental work. My jaw was swollen, and all I wanted was pain relief, as anyone who has ever had dental pain knows all too well. I was left freezing in the chair for what seemed like forever, and after spending nearly two hours freezing to death AND in severe pain from the left side of my throat to my left eye (the side of my cracked tooth), I was refused any pain relief, whatsoever. I was given a prescription for an antibiotic, for which they said might start working some time the next day. So, for all they cared, I could just continue to suffer unimaginable pain for another full day and night, without any help from them. Needless to say, as I was waiting for their office manager to give me my astronomical estimate for which no normal person could ever afford, I called Hiram Dental. I was in the office of Hiram Dental in less than 2 hours after that awful experience at Aspen Dental, and within an hour of being at Hiram Dental, I had a jaw full of novacaine, was completely out of pain, had a set appointment with an oral surgeon the next Wednesday, and pain control until my appointment with the oral surgeon. All I can say is, AVOID ASPEN DENTAL FOR ANY DENTAL EMERGENCY, and run straight to HIRAM DENTAL! Hiram Dental saved my life! I was at a point that I could not take any more of the pain, and while Aspen didn't give a crap, and turned me out without any help, whatsoever, Hiram Dental treated me with empathy, and how, I'm sure, they would want to be treated themselves. Aspen Dental needs to ask Hiram Dental how to treat people, especially how to treat patients. The time I spent at Aspen was a complete, and total, waste of time spent in unnecessary pain.
