I was a little timid trying to pronounce the dishes but grew much more confident as I was eating. This place is phenomenal! Wow. So good. The hummus, lamb, rice, baklava and the Knafeh (dessert). I thought the pita bread could have been softer but I'm not middle eastern so who knows. Absolutely loved the service and food. Sat on patio and some road noise but not crazy. I am coming back soon. We had dinner last night at Aspasia with two other couples. The owner set up tables to accommodate us and helped us through the menu. I had a nice, huge gyros platter with rice and my husband had a terrific, again, huge platter of Chicken Kabob and rice. We didn't try the homemade desserts as we we full. Next time. We look forward to returning to this family-owned restaurant as it offers us another taste of Mediterranean food. read more

The staff was very welcoming and attentive. More importantly, the food was fresh and delicious. We stooped in for a late lunch and thought we would go light so we had the Vegan Platter - yum!! The falafel was the best I've ever eaten. It was warm and tasty - not greasy at all. We can't wait to go back for dinner! We ate inside and it was clean and charming. Very non descript place but the food was delicious. Got the mega mixed grill and vegan platter. 3 of us split the mixed grill and they did half fires, half rice. Everything was fresh and hot. Meat was seasoned well and cooked. The pita that came with the mixed grill did have some spicy tomato sauce but it was tasty and not too hot. Hummus was so creamy and delicious. I would have been happy with just that and bread! Baklava and Turkish coffee finished out the meal. Got both walnut and pistachio. Table was divided on which was better but they were both amazing.Will definitely be going back to try more! Only took one pic! Service is a bit slow but we weren't in a rush. I lived in the Middle East and love the cuisine. I have been to most of the restaurants in town focused on Mediterranean cuisine, but the is the first time I felt compelled to write a review. The food was great. My wife and I were stopping in for a quick bite so we limited our order to wraps and fries. Wow, what a surprise! I can't begin to count all the Gyros, Shawarma and pita wraps I've had. But the Chicken Tawouk wrap was not only the best Chicken Tawouk wrap I've ever had, it was the best of any type of wrap I've ever had. My wife had the Lamb Gyro wrap and found the seasoning to be "amazing" and the pistachio baklava was "mouthwatering." We also took a Lamb Kebab wrap home and it was great. The garlic sauce was deliciously balanced and the tzatziki perfect. There was another sauce served that neither of us cared for but we have no comment on how good or bad it was - it simply was not to our liking. Some might fault the service that night. It was far from Service a la Russe, but the two staff who were there that night worked very hard to keep up and were extremely gracious. First time visit today for lunch. I ordered the lamb gyro plate and dolmas. Everything was excellent! The dolmas were served warm and tasted so good I had to close my eyes to take in all the scrumptiousness. The meat tasted fresh, and the crisp side of veggies included tomatoes, romaine lettuce, sliced carrots, radish, pickles, and onions...so fresh and delicious. The rice was otherworldly. I am not a huge fan of rice, but the light seasoning and perfectly balanced moist yet al dente preparation was incredible. I also have enough leftovers for a 2nd meal. Service was attentive and kind. My only criticism is that the pita bread was a little lacking in flavor and wasn't served warm. It really doesn't matter though...who needs bread when you have all of this fabulousness? read more

We went here about two months ago for a large group and the food was fabulous and service wonderful definitely 5 stars that day but not tonight and consistency is key in a restaurant. Tonight it was a very busy Saturday night and service was slow with only 2 working the front. They definitely need more help on busy nights. The food was good but came out cold. Of course it was a cool night In Tucson so we ate inside and the acoustics inside are very loud. Family is great and are a fabulous cooks but need to work on consistency and faster service. We saw two tables leave while we were there at the end because the service was so slow taking their order even. We waited over an hour to get our food so be prepared. It is great food when they are running smoothly. One thing we really enjoy here is their falafel, but it came out cold today. Still tasty but not the same. My husband ordered the lamb kebab plate ($17.99) (also came cold) and I had the vegan platter ($17.99) total with one yoghurt drink ~$42 for two. read more

I ate dinner here last night with three friends. We ordered tea, an appetizer sampler plate and an entree sampler plate. They came out at the same time, but that worked for us because we were in a hurry to make a movie. We loved the food. They were understaffed, so service was a little slow at times. It's a family owned and operated restaurant that's on the small side (maybe 10 4-tops and one large table in the middle). It was clean and well-maintained. I will definitely return! Our original caterer had to cancel at the last minute, so we took a chance on Aspasia and hired them with very little notice to cater a large (50+ person) party. We ordered a broad assortment of appetizers and main dishes, all of which were excellent. Amar bent over backwards to provide the best food and experience he could for us, and he and his wife succeeded, going beyond our expectations. They went above and beyond to make sure we had enough food for everyone, all of which was high quality and some of the best middle eastern food I've ever had. Tried this new Syrian restaurant tonight! Very warm and welcoming- the owner went by each table checking on guests. Worst looking shwarma I've ever had. It looked more like a taquito than it did a shwarma. Service was worse than the food. Took forever to just get a cup of hot tea. The place wasn't even that busy, only 4 other tables with customers, and the one waiter couldn't even handle it. I know this is a new eatery but it's never gonna work like this.
