Rose Latte
Linda D.

Was in town visiting a friend and wanted to visit a local coffee shop. A few of Asip's location was on my list. Interior is open and beautiful. Came in on a modestly warm, sunny afternoon. The cafe was filled up with people sitting, working, or hanging out with their friends. They are dog friendly as I saw a bonded pair, very calm and just observing their environment. That's a win for me. The menu was straightforward and a case full of pastries that looked delicious. My order was an iced Rose Latte with oat milk. The barista working (there was only 1) didn't seem friendly or welcoming. I think he was tired, a bit unhappy and over with the day already even though it was barely 2pm. Waiting took awhile but since it was only 1 person working (taking orders, making the orders), it was understandable. The rose latte came out so pretty. Although, I think it was overfilled with too much ice since some spilled over on the counter and as I was walking my drink back to the table. I was leaving a trail of coffee on the way! Besides that, the coffee was good. There was not much of a floral rose flavor. It was subtle. Overall the coffee was delicious, had a bit of brown sugar tasting notes but I'm unsure. Still refreshing otherwise for an afternoon pick-me-up.

I would recommend only coming for drinks. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and the sliders with bacon and the bacon was a small portion and it was mostly fat that you could barely chew. Waited 30 mins for food and got our drinks super early they were watered down by the time we got our food.

Back again with another 10/10 review. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and the friendliest staff. The matcha cream latte is the best I've had....espresso shot + matcha = heaven. The space itself is cozy yet modern, making it the perfect spot to work or catch up with friends! Can't wait to come back.....again & again!

Great place to get an amazing cup of coffee! The vibes were clean and simple, but their flavors were far from that!! Our barista was very sweet! I signed up for the loyalty program because I knew this was my new GO to spot.

Cute coffee place located in North Merced. We stopped in because I love trying non franchise coffee places. We got macaroons which were soft and tasty. Salted Caramel was delicious. I ordered a Mexican mocha with almond milk and two macaroons was almost $15. We sat and I thought hmm I don't know if my coffee is done I look over and see it sitting there in the counter. It wasn't busy and I thought they would say hey your coffee is ready. The coffee was good just a tad bit expensive for a small coffee.

Really good pour over coffee and muffin.

We haven't been in town for a few years. We really enjoyed the new location. David and Luna were very personable and we enjoyed chatting with them while we were waiting for our pour over coffee. The coffee was really enjoyable. We also ordered a blueberry lemon muffin with some kind of lemon filling. It was excellent! We didn't try it till we got about 15 minutes down the road or we would've gotten back and got another one. We will definitely be stopping by here again at our next trip.

Such a cute, well-lit cafe! I'm always excited to try coffee shops that aren't just another Starbucks, and Asip never disappoints. Located conveniently in the Raley's plaza, you can grab a coffee and do your grocery shopping, or you can be like me and grab some cold brew after your morning workout (In-Shape is a quick walk away). The staff here are very pleasant and the shop is always packed with folks hanging out, studying, or enjoying their coffee. I usually get a black cold brew, but when I want something sweet, the Honey Lavendar Latte hits! They also pastries available if you wanna munch on something, as well as a shelf of really cute merchandise (tumblrs, mugs, apparel) for purchase. Come check it out and have Asip!

ASIP serves a mean cup of joe (and some tasty matcha!). Conveniently located in the shopping center on the corner of G St and Yosemite Avenue in the Plaza of Raley's, you'll find this awesome coffee shop. Parking is super easy, since it's in a shopping center! Came for grand opening and the turnout was awesome! I can tell this place is well-loved and for good reason. Even with all the people, service was so incredibly friendly. They managed the line well, took orders with such awesome attitudes, and made the drinks so fast! I got a matcha latte with rose syrup and it was delicious! The rose syrup was a perfect touch to some high-quality matcha. My boyfriend got a Mexican mocha and said it was one of the best Mexican mochas he's ever had! If you're in Merced and not going to ASIP... WYD?

Latte & Mexican Mocha

I absolutely love this little gem in my hometown! The coffee is always a 10/10, and the service has gotten so much better over time. Not to toot their horn, but the matcha here is honestly the BEST I've ever had--and I order matcha everywhere I travel. This spot has truly become my go-to for a delicious beverage

Came at 8:45 am (peach coffee hour), and no one was there to take my order.

Came for a coffee but had to wait to even get my order get taken. Coffee was average compared to other places in LA but good ambiance

Large Mocha

I had to meet my 2 good friends to catch up. I was supposed to get a blended white mocha but they gave me a large hot white mocha. I saw some desserts that looked so delicious. I do wish they had added sandwiches. They have a good service.

This is their largest size. You shouldn't be able to see through it. Watered down. No ice.

Nice ambience. Bad black tea. Watered down. Couldn't add anything really/no changes. And cost about $3.00 more than Starbucks and I got less. Hated that I got water, less and no added syrups. How do these young kids pay for their stuff? I coulda made this at home for 50 cents. Paid $7.55. Starbucks is $5 for twice the size, strong, and I could add flavors and ice is even included lol

This place and The Sensory Lab have the best coffee in Merced. If you love coffee, this is the place to go. The people are nice, too.

I finally decided to stop in with my 5 y/o son. The outside decor and ambiance were adorable and the merchandise had fun designs. Unfortunately, the interaction with the owner completely changed the experience. He seemed irritated from the moment I ordered a hot chocolate for my son, correcting me in a rude and dismissive tone that it was "hot cocoa" and annoyedly asking how many I wanted. I said one and then asked if they had a menu so I could see what type of coffee they offered. That simple question also seemed to frustrate him and he dismissively responded, "It's just coffee," while shaking his head. His overall tone came across as arrogant, annoyed, and dismissive over normal questions, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was shocked by the attitude, especially from a business owner. Maybe he was having a bad day, and I do see many positive reviews, but I also noticed other reviews mentioning similar experiences with the owner. It's disappointing because we were really looking forward to trying this place. I ended up saying never mind and leaving. My son didn't understand why we walked out without getting what we came for and I explained that I didn't want to support a business where customers are treated rudely. I truly hope the owner is doing okay and is able to treat customers more respectfully in the future because it seems like there's a great product behind the business. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to try it.

The best coffee in Modesto…read more One of only two coffee roasters in Modesto City proper, Milone has been roasting superior coffee for almost 30 years (since the late 80's). It all began as Plantation Coffee Company, a roastery & full service cafe. They closed the cafe part of the business long ago, & today operate as wholesale distributors. Where can you sample some Milone coffee? Several local businesses carry them...Sabatino's, Michael's Pizza, Papapavlo's, Velvet Creamery, & Picasso's, just to name a few. I was particularly impressed to learn that the coffee I had at Sabatino's, which I loved, was just one end of a surprisingly broad & prolific spectrum. From Brazilian roast to Fogburner, there's a roast for every palate. And after sampling just 2 of their roasts, it was easy to surmise that any coffee lover will find a Milone roast that he or she loves. Not a business owner? No problem. You can come in & purchase beans by the pound. But remember that this isn't a full service cafe. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott during my most recent visit. Scott knows everything about coffee. He's basically a walking & talking coffee encyclopedia. He is also beyond personable. A gem. This is the best coffee in Modesto. 5 stars.
