Asiana is a relatively new restaurant to the St Johns area and we tried its take out service the other weekend. There is also a rstaurant but I've not tried it.
Ordering was very simple and there was no issue with undrstanding. The take out was delivered free of charge (orders over £12) and arrived promptly.
Unfortunately, on arrival, it appeared that one of the dishes had been made with the wrong meat. This wasn't particularly an issue for us although it could be for some. It was also late and we were hungry so we were typically English and didn't complain.
Once tasted though, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The food was incredibly good. The chicken balti was, perhaps a little rich if one were being picky and the sauce was certainly darker and wetter than one would expect. It was, however, very good. A chicken niramish was out of this world - almost a fusion of Indian and oriental food. It was perhaps, one of the most unusual dishes I've seen on an English Indian menu.
Rice was good and naan wonderfully light and fluffy.
Price wise this is in line with Surrey take outs - expect to pa around £20 for 2.
It's perhaps not as good as Balaka in Horsell but it's a good second choice. read more
