Moo Shu pork could've been shortened to just Moo Shu given the lack of pork present. Egg rolls were average. Sweet & sour soup did have a good bite. Our friends ordered some dinner combos but hardly raved about them. Ambience: nothing special, a few cheap chairs and tables. Floor did not seem like it had been attended to in a while. Can't really comment on service. Food was ready on time. Rushed in to get it , paid and left. Would not go back. I have been to one other Chinese restaurant in the Charleston area, which was much better.

YOUNG CHOWS HAS NEVER DISAPPOINTED. Its a menu based place, not a buffet, and you did is made when you order it so it's hot and fresh when you get it. The little appetizer you get is so freaking tasty. Not sure what they are called but It's liked deep fried noodle or something. Its kinda like a rectangular wavy chinese dorito is my best description and they come with this "Chinese slaw" that's sweet and oh so good. I've had multiple items off the menu and none have been disappointing. Has it changed since one of the owners passed, who was the main cook? Barely. I didn't really even notice. Everyone i have dealt with there has been very nice too. If you want a TRUE 4 store asian food dining experience, for WV, then this is the choice. Not one of the area buffets.

I was craving Chinese while working in the area. The reviews did not encourage me in my craving,…read morebut the crave won. The building, seats, tables and carpet are all well worn. Decor was fitting. The staff was friendly enough but not intrusive. The food was more of a quandary. Labeling was confusing. All of the food was hot. Egg drop soup was tasty. Some of the food was slightly overcooked to the point of being a little crunchy when it shouldn't have been. Other than that, the dishes I tried were good. In fact, I had one dish that had shrimp, chicken, celery, carrots, and mini corn which was the best spicy Chinese dish I have ever had....and I went back for seconds AND thirds. In a different location with new furnishings and a little more attention to detail in the cooking, this place would easily be a four or five ranking. If I get the craving again when I'm in this area, I will not hesitate to return to this restaurant.w

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - ordered a Hunan Roast Pork Dinner Special. Slight kick to the food but…read moredecent overall. The sliced pork seems to be cooked separately and then just added to the different dishes with the sauce and other ingredients. Service: 4/5 - English wasn't the cashier's primary language so she did sound a bit rude but it was very efficient service and to the point! Ambiance: n/a - only available for to go orders. The chairs are placed on top of the tables so it's not welcoming customers to sit. The wallpapers are peeling and decorations are faded. The bathrooms have a sign that says out of order but one of the workers used it while I was waiting for our food. Value for price: 4/5 - decent food, quick service, reasonable price. Note there is a higher cost to use credit card.

Hoped news is that the food wasn't bad! The atmosphere in the restaurant leaves much -everything- to be desired. It is a restaurant geared to take-out, clearly. Families with children will feel relaxed here, as there are no fancy airs or decor. The portions are quite generous and their menu is very diverse. There are five of us at times and there is something for even the pickiest eater! Special orders don't phase them at all - no mushrooms? No problem! Add water chestnuts? Okay! Something I need to mention: the staff are Asian and some of the order-takers are nearly impossible to understand. They are clearly used to being asked to repeat themselves. Another thing is that the person answering the phone talks very fast. It's okay to ask them to slow down if you can't understand them. Nothing seems to annoy them. Nice We order from here about once every 1-2 weeks.

Prices were way too high for such poor quality, and it is cash only. If you go, you need at least $50 if you want to actually be able to afford your meal. Not worth it. There are two far better places down in Wytheville, and are well worth the drive. This place? Never again.
