A visit today (2/19/25) after not going to this Asian grocery store in a few months! Decided to order a few Banh Mi Sandwiches since I was in the mood for some. Got a couple of Grilled Chicken ones and Sesame Balls from the Deli. The store was packed as hell, like always! Parking lot was totally full since they have such a small area. Hard to find parking every single visit!! Anyway, after getting home and opening up a sandwich, noticed how the portions were inadequate and barely saw any sign of Chicken in them!!! One half had some and the other basicallly had none!!! All I tasted was mainly the bread and nothing else. Felt pretty cheated and skimped out on the ingredients, as well as the meat for the protein. It's a typical Asian food store. Small compact has all the little odds and ends of Asian foods. The people are there working not friendly or outspoken but are helpful if you ask. The stocked items may have questionable dates. Best time to go is off peak if you can help it. This is your typical homey Asian grocery store with tons of products to choose from along with a deli where you can purchase boba drinks, banh mi and fresh baked goods. As you walk in, you're welcomed by fresh vegetables, flowers and fruits outside. And inside is your typical seafood aroma mixed with idk, but always makes me feel like I'm home. Yes, the aisles are small and parking lot is not ideal but in my opinion, this is a norm for smaller Asian grocery stores. Coming from California, we had a bunch of these that came with small parking lots and the store is small but the quality and quantity is there! Many options on meat, frozen Asian ready to eat meals, boba boxes with pre-made mixes and any type of dipping sauce you need. Items are priced fairly, depending on where it came from and some priced items are way cheaper than other Asian grocery stores. This place is okay. I went here after my cousin recommended it. The parking and even getting into the parking lot is difficult. The parking spots are so tiny and narrow. As for the store itself, it's very compact and narrow. Only one person can fit down an aisle at a time. They have LOTS of different sauces and I like their deli/snack section. I would be hesitant to grab any seafood or meat here, but I come here for fruit, sometimes herbs, sauces, and mostly dry ingredients. I bought balut(duck eggs) yesterday day and every single one of them were rotten. It's stinky, dry and brown. Only my dog find it appetizing but I don't even wanna give it to her! There are some eggs that date back to 2-3 weeks ago, I chose one that was dated one day ago, but I'm pretty sure they just took off the old date and placed a new one. This Asian grocery store has its pros and cons, but mostly cons. The cons being that the parking lot is small and its somewhat littered, store is not clean. The aisles are small. You cannot fit two carts or one cart and another person passing by. The non-refrigerated food are stacked on the floor. Some fruits are rotten and they are still selling it. The moment you walk in this Asian mart, you'll notice there's ripe and rotten fruit being displayed outside the entrance. Once inside, you'll smell grossness, rotten meat. Poor ventilation system, I tell ya! But, I was able to get in and out within 15 minutes, cuz damn it stank in there! Got my ingredients to make bò kho (Vietnamese beef stew). This place is not the cleanest. Layout is intuitively laid out and lots of products with is great. Plenty of veggies, meat, seafood, dried goods, sauces, plus a hot deli. Those sometimes when it gets busy there may not be shopping carts available. Some of the produce can be hit or miss -- it seems to me the onions are always moldy when I check in the boxes. This place is horrible. I never ever buy meat products from the "fresh" meat section. Once I saw a fly in their meat case. I told someone at the meat dept. and they didn't understand English and just shrugged it off. Another time I bought shrimp. They never leave the bag open for you to check the quality, they just tie it up and when you get home you find that is smells rotten. I believe I had my husband take it back and the cashier said something in Vietnamese and the workers all laughed. What's so funny? The fact that you're trying to rip people off by selling old shrimp? Then a year later, I bought a pack of the famous 802 brand DRY vermicelli noodles to make some fresh spring rolls (some call it salad rolls). I got home from the store, boiled my water like usual and cut open the package of noodles and threw half of the pack in the pot. Right when I threw it in the pot, I noticed something blackish. I looked closer and it was mold!!!! Inside the mold was something yellow. I have no idea what it was but I was so irritated!! I just got back from the store to start cooking and find that the noodles were bad! I was not about to drive back and bring the moldy noodle for them to see. And who knows if they would even give me a refund the following day if I waited to go back. FORTUNATELY, I had a small pack of another brand at home that was more than a few months old and were still good! Thank goodness. So in conclusion, always keep your receipts and check your meat or seafood to see if it's rotten. I would take it back the same day so they will give you your money back. Or just don't buy the stuff. I would say stick with dry or canned ingredients but my experience with that wasn't good either. Good Asian market with large variety of seafood and vegetables. A little on the dirty side but this is to be expected.

This is your typical Vietnamese Asian Market but it's not very nicely laid out. It feels rather cramped. Everything seems to be thrown together due to space constraints. It's a quick go-to place if I'm in the area and I need some Asian vegetables that I can't pick up at your local grocery store. The customer service is touch and go. Sometimes you'll run into some friendly staff and other times, you get glares as if it's a bother that you even shopped there to begin with. There are a variety of meats and frozen foods available but I have never purchased anything other than vegetables. The other side of the store, one can purchase Vietnamese sandwiches. They're only about $3.50 a sandwich (give or take a few). I have never tried any of their sandwiches so I can't review those. There has never been an issue with parking. There's enough spots around the store as people are usually coming and going. I will continue to come here every so often only because of it's convenience when I just happen to be in the area. However it's not a place I recommend to friends. read more

I know, it seems kind of like a dump when you first walk inside, but don't be put off by initial appearances. There's a lot of good stuff here. They've got curry leaves, kaffir lime leaves, fresh turmeric, Asian shallots, Daun kesum, dried Salam leaves, galangal, and lots of other hard to find herbs. This place makes me disgusted. Went into the deli and there were cockroaches crawling all over the food. Especially in the pastry display case. Tried telling someone that worked there but they didn't speak English or understand what I was trying to say. First of, their cleanliness is questionable. Secondly, like many other reviews stated, they are not honest about the quality of things being sold. I have seen a lot of comments about spoiled produce being sold and for the last couple visits I have experienced that with their deli department as well. I am not from Kent and only came here with my MIL to pick up a few items for "emergency" purposes. MIL says that she only stops by if she forgot to pick up something at H Mart (in Federal Way), and she really needs it now - e.g., green onions that costs only $0.49 here vs. $1.00+ at Fred Meyer or the like. Something like that. Surprisingly, their produce section appeared relatively fresh. I always like to look and check out the produce section to see how fresh or old the items are. They seemed pretty good. It's mostly Vietnamese stuff, mixed with some other Asian items, but it's probably owned and operated by Vietnamese, for Vietnamese. Linda was a terrible cashier who tried to charge me an additional $6 for a sale she didn't understand they were having. She was VERY rude and should be retrained. However this is not the only isolated time I have had an incident. Just the only time I was offended enough to post about it. Once an employee pushed my cart out of the way because I didn't understand what he said. It's not like I wasn't trying to. I literally just left all my items in the basket and left. I do not like having to spend my money here...unfortunately there is one item I can't find unless I drive farther away. After today I think this is he last time. Went here a couple days ago be sure it was the only Asian market close by. I like how they have a lot if Asian product and food. Only bad thing about this place is the deli are not fresh. Let me tell u why. I bought couple things from there deli area. I assume that the sandwich that they make are fresh daily but that was not the case. I bought 2 chicken sandwich from them and drove all the way home (maple valley). Sat down to eat the sandwich, I usually look inside to see what they put in it, to my surprise it have mold in the sandwich. GROSS!!! Look at the 2nd sandwich and same thing mold in it. Drove all the way back to the market in a dam rainy day plus with my daughter who was getting fussy being in her car seat too long. Now I'm 2nd guessing my self about the other food they have their that I bought , like the sesame ball. They probably didn't sale all there sandwich so the put it back in the fridge and warm it up the next day. Never buying stuff from there deli again. This market is located in a busy area in Kent. During rush hour or peek hours during the weekends while other folks are doing their shopping, it is a big congested to get to. It's a smaller market. The aisles are very slim, so having a shopping cart can be hard to manage. You do have to be careful of the produce you select. Some are great, some may be bruised and old. They have a nice selection of meats, spices, produce, and noodles varying from different countries of Asia. They also have a small deli section and sell mortar and pestles. I purchased a large one there for $10 and the pestle for $2. It's a clay type, which traditional southeast Asians use, for example, spicy papaya salad! I also enjoy that they have frozen packaged nam neung in the frozen aisle. I give this market a three because of the size, location, and the produce. Other than that, it's just okay! read more

I've been eyeing this market ever since I've been making these trips to Joann's for my holiday supply shopping and I finally got to check out this tiny market on my way home today. I will agree with the previous review that you can't expect excellent customer service, but what do you expect from an Asian market? Although because of her review, I made sure to watch everything I was getting rung up for before I had them charge my card. They have a pretty wide variety of Asian food supplies and groceries and very reasonable prices, but I noticed that they mainly cater to the Vietnamese community. I have never seen a section dedicated to pho-based ingredients and Vietnamese foodfare and it was very easy to find...so this place might have me considering taking a shot at making my own pho broth someday. They seem to have a decent selection of frozen seafood and fresh seafood (crab and tilapia). Their meat selection is a lot smaller but they sell all the meats you can find in a bowl of pho (brisket, flank, tripe, tendon). What's interesting is they carry a lot of pork blood: uncooked, pre-boiled, and freshly boiled (out in a tub in the front) where you can scoop it on your own. And you can buy freshly sliced papaya (might have to try making some atchara someday...hehe)! This place is not very big, but I can see myself coming here out of convenience mainly for Asian soup broth supplies and hopefully it can also be my one-stop shop for any other miscellaneous Asian goods/snacks I might need/want. Also, they do have a parking lot, but you will need to make sure you enter it from 104th. I like this place because they have some rare and exotic Asian fruits that you can't really find at other markets (red dragon fruits, ugly fruits, etc.) The parking situation is not as crazy as other places like Viet Wah in Chinatown or Great Wall Ranch 99. But the market is really small, the aisles and walk ways are so small I feel like I constantly run into other people or that I'm always in someone's way. My husband & I went here since we were told they could fry your fish fresh. As we walked in, the stench was very strong as in many Asian stores. It didnt surprise us so we continued to go in to the deli section. We noticed they had food in the warmer and bakery items out where you can pick what you wanted. As we were looking, a roach crawled up out of one of the wrapped bakery items and under the paper bags where people are supposed to use for their food. This was so disgusting!! We immediately left this place. Too bad I did not have my phone on me otherwise I would've taken a picture but my husband was there and witnessed the same thing. I agree with other reviewers that you've got to be attentive here and I'm not sure I would buy meat or produce here. They have expanded and gotten a bit bigger. The selection is okay and the prices are okay. If you have particular things you are looking for then great, certainly they have good canned goods at much cheaper prices than normal stores. This is my FIRST TIME I shopping her. But I swear that it will be the LAST TIME IN MY LIFE. I can not accept the bad customer service here. I bought a few bundles of vegetable here with prices like the same with other markets in Kent. But as a result I thrown most of them in the trash because it can not eat. They were crushed and more importantly they have been kept for a long period of time in the cooler. The Cashier, who checked out for me is a young girl, she served me with a terrible face without a smile, even once. Both trays of meat I bought was also smelly and expiration, it made me throw all the soup for dinner into the garbage. Fortunately, I did not eat it, if not maybe I am being in the hospital now. This just opened a week ago and they don't even have bank card connection yet. Some signs are not yet complete. I didn't see any ginger. I don't know if ginger isn't used in Vietnamese cooking or if they use Galangal instead. The aisles are tight. It is small. The meat was incredibly priced. Some a dollar or more lower than other places. I didn't know frozen food enough to compare. But the fish was also priced lower. And what amazed me was that there was NO fish smell. Any other Asian market I've found in Seattle smells of fish. Now I hope this stays that way, but this is an indicator that the fish is very fresh. I bought a whole Sea Bass at $2.39 a pound and they cleaned it. It wasn't a huge one so I didn't need to buy enough for a family of 8. It was only maybe 1.5 lbs. Tilapia was even cheaper. I saw beef oxtails at 3.49 and it's usually $3.99 or higher elsewhere. Other cuts of beef was in the $2.50 range--BEEF! Nectarines were .79/lb. Now they were slightly ripe and I had to pick through them. It's the end of the season and they're already higher everywhere else. So if they can KEEP up this level of quality and prices, this is the best of the Asian markets I've found in South King County. But of course starting great and maintaining it are two very different things. But they will keep MY business and if they keep a lot of customers, the quality will stay high if they sell through before things start to turn. read more

This place sells rotten food some you can see clearly and they marked down prices I guess for those who wants to 'save'. However I've purchased items mostly fruits that are at regular price and find half already rotten. They are sneaky to package rotten foods with good ones, I bought a bag of mangosteens for about $20 and there were only 4-5 good ones the rest were rotten. When I went back 3 days later and the girl remembered me I showed them the pictures I took and they did nothing. The so called manager lady refused to refund or exchange a new bag, instead she blamed me for not knowing how to pick out good fruits and I should've asked one of their employees next time. Then she tells me that's how they bought it from their vendors so they sell as is. The mangosteens came prepackaged and even if I picked them individually it's still against health violation for a business to sell rotten food!
