I have been here a couple of times in the past few months. The place is clean, everything is organized well and the staff is pretty helpful. They do have a good selection of items but most of their brands are the premium ones. I did find the vegetables are ok priced as are most of the dry goods and snacks. Their margin is in frozen food. Some items are astronomically higher. Lamb Kebabs for e.g. are 22+ and the same brand item is $12 in anything not called Apna Bazaar. I wish they fairly price and not rip off their clientele. There are other competing Indian stores nearby (but with not as much inventory) that are hurting for business. 4 stars for selection and cleanliness, 1 star for price, 2 stars for unfriendly cashier, 4 star for accessibility and parking, 5 stars for a write-in requests board read more

Really for customer service all international food items are available at store. I like to support local business

We ordered pickup during the stay-at-home order. In April there were multiple day wait times but we were able to do same day pickup in May. They offer a variety of authentic products at very reasonable prices. The produce selection is a little slim the tomatoes we got were very under-ripe but this might have been a seasonal issue. Ordering online was easy and I got a personal call asking about substitutions when a few of our items were out of stock. We'll definitely be back (one of the few places we can find fresh paneer)! read more

I wish I could give Apna Bazar a better rating but if I could give them 0 stars, I would. Generally I have a good experience here. This is my go to Indian market and is clean and mostly well stocked. I generally don't mind the attitude of the staff here. I'm Asian so I'm used to someone being condescending no matter where I shop when it comes to Asian stores. Today, my husband and I, went into Apna and spent about $85. The whole time the staff was giving me a strange look and staring at my purse, as if I could fit anything in it. Then when we went to check out and I was complimenting them on the store being clean and well stocked, they let me know I couldn't have a discount until I spent over $100 on groceries. In my previous experience I've always received a small discount and the Indian woman in front of me received a 15% of discount and she only spent $65. So, I won't be going back because I don't need racism or prejudice in my life given the current climate. I urge you to go to a store who treats everyone well. Not just the "right" race or culture and I would urge the management to treat everyone equally. read more

Glad to have this grocery nearby. It's the best Indian grocery I. Kent in my opinion. It's clean for one. There tends not to be as much trouble with expired items here as other places and thus far I've not ended up with any bugs in my pulses from ones I've bought from here. Pricing is fair and the produce quality is good read more

Shying away from giving them a fiver just 'coz they have a bit of limited stock when it comes to the Indian household items. Otherwise .. for food, cleanliness, arrangement of isles .. they have done a great job. Went to play a cricket match in Kent .. and in the evening we headed over to do some Indian grocery shopping .. I have always gone to the Bellevue outlets .. so was pleasantly surprised to see Apna Bazar so neat and clean and well arranged. They have a good stock when it comes to Indian staple items .. I am quite impressed. Planning on coming back here when ever we play next in Kent .. Bellevue outlet could wait :) read more

I come here occasionally because I enjoy making Indian food at home in my Instant Pot. They have a wide selection of grains, beans, and most if not all the spices you need to make restaurant quality Indian food at home. Items in the spices/grains/beans sections are helpfully arranged alphabetically. Staff pop in and out to ask if they can help you find something and seem genuinely grateful you've come to visit the store. The store is very clean I do wish the produce section was bigger but only because I like to walk into a store and have it be a "one stop shop" kind of deal. The bulk area is small. There is not a meat section, and I understand the cultural/religious reasons why. There is a sort of meat/butcher shop next door, however. There is plenty of parking, but they can be a little tricky to find as they are tucked away from the street. They are located near Target and Ross so you can pick up other things on the same block if needed. read more

This Apna Bazar shop prices for everyday vegetables are going skyrocketing - way too high than the market prices. For example, the cauliflower is selling for $6.49 each when it sells for about $2.49 in the market. Same is the case for Karela (bitter guard) selling for $5.99 when the usual market price is $2.49 per lb. These are just a few examples and every thing is priced almost double the price. To make it worst, they have removed the price stickers from everything on the shelves (trying to hide the prices) and replaced with TV screen where prices are given for only a few items and it takes too long for the screen to change to see the price you need to know. It's time to shop at different place if things are not fixed soon... need to talk to the manager / business owner read more

my mom is a regular customer and loves shopping from apna bazar but from the last couple visits the cashier girls have been extremely rude and arrogant. I have been tole their attitude for a long time but today I had enough and I'm tempted to write it now. They kept arguing about the bags and kept being rude and never even told me that she has finished my transaction I have never hated my visit their like I hated today. Extremely unsatisfied with the visits now. Please coach the cashier girls to be nice with the customers. Sometimes it feels like they talk bout the customers and insult us while they talk to each other. read more

This place it great! it has pretty much everything that you could want (except fresh/frozen meats) and the prices are good. They do not have a bulk section though. We will be returning. I read another review about a 15% discount for spending over a certain amount, but I could not find any reference to that, so I am not sure what that is about. read more

Best place to get Indian grocery . Easy to get anything from there . Nice and clean store and staff are great

This is a great store that I've been going to for many years. I have been particularly impressed with the wide selection of spices and ready-made meals. More recently I was particularly happy that one of the managers donated a large amount of Diwali diyas to our elementary school for our multicultural night. We used the diyas to explain to the kids about Diwali and it was a big big hit. Props to the store for helping out the community and spreading the joy of Diwali, the festival of the lights!! read more
