In the hour that I was there, there were 3 walk-ins, one with an appointment and a few phone calls. However, despite this activity, my masseuse, Linda, only left the room once. Room was big and a little chilly. I thought they keep the heat down to keep costs down or maybe they are trying to go green and conserve on fossil fuel consumption. But, they reason they keep the heat down is because when they are giving a massage, they work up a sweat and if it's cooler, they don't get so hot and tired. If they are comfortable and happy, as long as I get a good massage, I'm OK. After seeing Linda, first glance, first impression, I almost requested to see who else was available. Linda is tall and slender and a lot younger than most masseuses. I figured that bending over a table giving a massage for an hour would be to strenuous. But, never underestimate their ability to give a good massage. I'm glad I stayed with Linda, she gave a very nice massage. Too bad China Meridian doesn't have those bars for walking on back. Barely done foot, but i liked that she cracked my neck at the end and some stretches too She apologized at the end about the bad massage initially and then told me i should request deep hard massage upfront and recommended male masseuse. The massage massage therapist stated that I was tight which I already knew, she started massaging my arms which had a few trigger points known as knots. This got a hot stone which was cold and tried to dig the trigger points out of my arm. I told her to stop once I nerve asked her to use a stone and I never asked her to get them out! I just wanted a nice relaxing massage. I got up this morning with bruises all over my arm. I called the spa and the Manager had a dismissive attitude after I sent her the pictures. I will never go back I do not recommend this place I also don't think the massage therapists are licensed.
