Ever since at started working in West Linn, this has been my go to spot. Besides the food, their music selection is not bad either. Not the typical traditional Thai music that you hear at other restaurants. The Drunken noodles are my favorite but the Pad Thai and Udon Pad Thai are just as good. Prices aren't affordable. Service is always fast and it's rare that it gets crowded when I come (usually around 12:30pm - 2pm). Try the Iced Green Tea Latte. If you like Thai iced tea, you'll love this drink. Only downside is parking. Occasionally it can be pretty busy. I would suggest driving around a few times until a spot will opens up. It's also in the same lot as the liquor store in case you need a stiffer drink afterwards. read more

I like the food here overall, but the hours are strange. Many time when I've tried to come here they are closed. Their hours are scratched off the window, so there is no way to tell when they are supposed to be open. I have figured out they are closed Mondays. Also seems they close at other random times. Even though the food is decent, there are so many other choices for Asian type food in West Linn. Driving over here to eat and having the business constantly closed gets frustrating. When I am able to get in here to eat, the staff are sometimes friendly and other times somewhat rude. read more

I am a big fan of restaurants that offer good food mainly to patrons in their specific neighborhood. Asian Kitchen is just such a place. I am a huge fan of the Tom Kha soup, which I get with chicken. You get to choose your own protein, as well as two vegetables. It is an ideal soup in winter or when you are feeling a little under the weather, but it is great when you are feeling well too. Other dishes that I am particularly fond of include salad rolls, the pad thai, yakisoba, and garlic and pepper pork (again, choose your protein). The owners are very nice, and I like to support them. You do have to navigate the open hours, however: currently (Feb 2022), no dine-in due to Covid, 3-8 pm Mon-Sat, EXCEPT closed the first Saturday of the month. And you may wish to call in your order, especially towards the end of the evening-- if business is really slow, there is no guarantee that they will not close the kitchen early. All in all, I am very glad that Asian Kitchen is in my neighborhood, and I am proud to support it. read more

Today I had the Drunken Noodles at just the right spice level. The ratios of meat (chicken in today's order) to noodles to vegetables was perfect. Some of the online photos looked dry but the amount of homemade sauce was also perfect. The only thing I would change is use a wider rice noodle. I called in my ordered 30 minutes before closing. Visiting the Portland area for a couple days and got in yesterday. Was pretty hungry so my friend took me to a small hole in the wall spot here in Westlinn. Can't lie, initially I wasn't sure if I'd like the food based on outside appearance but the inside was cute and clean! Had boho style decor and aroma coming from kitchen smelled great. The cashier greeted us with a happy attitude and promptly took our order. The menu wasn't extensive but has a variety of different Asian cuisines. I decided on an order of veggie egg rolls and Vegetable yaki soba w/ tofu. They brought out the appetizers first and then our plates came out. Presentation wasn't all there but there's more to the eye for sure. The yaki soba noodles were cooked perfectly and the tofu was crispy! Vegetables were fried thoroughly ( which is to my liking! ) Was not sure how the tofu was going to be prepared. the crispiness of the tofu with the moist noodles made for a happy blend of textures. This eatery is a perfect example of ' you can't judge a book by its cover ' If you're in the Westlinn area craving noodles this is a safe choice! Clean bright place on Willamette Drive in West Linn. We ordered the YakiUdon with Shrimp, Udon Pad Thai and Squid Fried Rice. Wow! The food was stellar. The food seemed simple but every dish was tasty and texturally satisfying. Good portions too. The YakiUdon was the best version of YakiUdon I've had the privilege to enjoy. Generous portion of Shrimp to boot. The Udon Pad Thai was texturally more satisfying than classic Pad Thai (my opinion) since the Udon noodles supports the satisfyingly tasty sauce better. Good Quality Thai. I stopped in after meeting a friend in Canby. While traveling home on route 43 - I saw a sign for this pub Salty Rhino and I thought, why not drop in and get some Thai food to-go, then go for a beer. So, really, just randomly found Asian Kitchen. I reviewed the menu briefly and thought I'd try for something basic. They had many choices and they were friendly greeting me at the counter. There a couple others waiting. No dine-in available. I ordered the Pad Thai and asked for it, spicy. I waited quite awhile but I just hung out and looked at the art on the wall. Small, clean, brightly lit by natural sunlight. They were very busy with call in orders an who know maybe grub hub. Friendly efficient and and my dish was HOT, HOT, spice wise. My wife and daughter are getting their nails done the doors down, so my son and I figured we try Asian Kitchen out. It's SO good. I had the garlic dish with chicken, he had the teriyaki with chicken, and we shared a potsticker app. We both wanted to finish because it was so good, but we're full. The dishes come with high quality chicken, plenty of steamed veggies, rice or noodles, and super tasty sauces. They served us quickly and were attentive to us throughout our meal. This review probably isn't for the actual restaurant but more for whoever they contract with for delivery. I put in an order for $100 worth of food at 6:23p, and at 8:45p I had no food. I called the number provided for status and the guy answers the phone and I kid you not says, "oh well we put the order in at 7p and my driver showed up at 8p and they were closed." So there were several issues, 1) why was my order put in 37 minutes after I submitted it? 2) why did the driver show up AN HOUR AFTER THAT? 3) why in the hell am I having to call them to ask where my food is? 4) why didn't anyone call me immediately to apologize, confirm my refund and try and commit to getting my family some dinner from another establishment?! I get off the phone with a guy who took no accountability and I get a text message at 8:59 from someone saying, "I am waiting outside of the restaurant for your food and I'll be there as soon as I can". What?! So I call back and talk to the same guy who says, " Man I don't know what's going on that restaurant is definitely close so I don't know who is sending you text messages". It is now 9 PM and I am in the damn McDonald's drive-through right now. I'm pissed, hungry and out $100 that I am not guaranteed is ever going to come back to me because there's a circus and lack of accountability around this ordering process. Atmosphere: It's in a little center with an Oil Can Henry's, a taproom, an animal hospital, a Subway, and a few other places. You can't miss their bright, yellow sign that says "Asian Kitchen." The inside has black walls, and it's pretty plain inside. They have posters hung up with the menu items. They have a television that displays a slideshow of pictures of food. They have lots of bar tables, and they have a few regular tables by another television to the left of the entrance. Service: It was good. There wasn't a line when we walked in, and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. We were asked if we had any questions, and we were given time to decide what to eat without hurry. They take your name and call it out when your food is ready. Our salad rolls came out first. It was great, because they gave us enough time to eat our appetizer before calling us for our entrees. Food: The salad rolls were yummy. You get four of them for $4. They taste fresh, and they come with a tangy peanut sauce. I got the soup with udon noodles, tofu, carrots, and spinach in a spicy broth. I enjoyed it. They gave you a lot of all the ingredients, and it's definitely filling and a great deal for $8. My fiancé got the pad Thai with beef for $8. He liked the flavors, but the noodles must have been a bit overdone, because they were a bit chewy. Other than that, he liked it. Overall: We would try this place again, and we'd probably go back during lunch, because they have a promotion going right now where you can get a free egg roll or dumpling. read more

Always excellent. Chicken teriyaki bento is great and kids like it. Today I tried the shrimp yaki udon and it was everything I hoped for. Plenty of shrimp and vegetables and perfectly cooked fresh tasting noodles with a delicious sauce. My husband got the yaki soba and was similarly happy, remarking in the high quality of shrimp. I've been here at least 10 times now. What I've noticed is that the staff isn't the most eager to converse with customers--even if it's slow. Pretty brief, sometimes a little impersonal. Not a lot of seating. Not a lot of privacy to talk (just two booths inside to dine at, from what I remember). Works best as a to-go location for me. The food I'd give a solid 8/10! I don't get particularly excited coming here to eat, but my wallet thanks me for it and my stomach does get full. read more

Our first visit to Asian Kitchen was just what you'd want - good food; fast, friendly service; very good prices. My first dish was the udon pad thai - 5 stars! Sauce wasn't too sweet with just enough heat to make it interesting and the udon had enough substance to be an enjoyable chew without being over-cooked and mushy. Add plenty of fresh moyashi and ground peanuts, and you have a happy tummy! Iced Thai coffees are just $2 - much better pricing. Seating is limited and parking can also be in short supply. We were so impressed that we came back the next day for take out - bento sets A and B were well worth the small $10 price. read more

I was really sad when Oodles of Noodles closed, but Asian Kitchen has brought it back better than ever! There is potential here. Teriyaki chicken was delicious; rice was perfectly sticky. Soup and hot tea were both do agains. Daily special pineapple fried rice was bland. And they need to clean and organize more as the kitchen opens out and needs attention including changing the water the poor fish is swimming in. We had the Pad Thai take out. Fairly good, should've asked for a bit of spicier sauce and peanut sauce for the side to mix in and it would've been perfect. I sampled the red curry sauce while there and ended up dipping my egg rolls in it, good. The shrimp pad Thai had 5 shrimp in it and there was a healthy amount of beef in the beef pad Thai, they offer extra meat for a fair price. Will try some curry or soup next visit. read more
