    Chicken in garlic sauce.

After reading some of the reviews before hand I was hesitant to try this place, but being one of the only places in the area I was hoping for the best. Unfortunately, the quality did not live up to the expectations that I was hoping for. The food was just average, if that. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't say it was good either. It was also rather expensive for what it was, especially the sushi. Any place that charges $7 for a California roll is insane. We ended up not getting any sushi for that reason. We had the Thai red curry and the chicken with garlic sauce. I will give them props on the presentation of the food (check the pics). The thai red curry came out sizzling on a fajita pan like you'd expect to see at Mexican restaurant. It was not what you expect to get when you order a Thai curry. It was more of a stir fry with a sauce on top than a soup. It was also rather bland. The chicken with garlic sauce was very sweet and the chicken was rubbery and poorly cooked, almost comparable to a TV dinner. I have learned though that places with multiple types of asian cuisine usually aren't the best. I was definitely disappointed because I was really hoping this place would be great.

My friend and I were recently in the mood for sushi, so we found somewhere close and new to try out. As we walked in we realized we were the only ones eager to dine on a slow Tuesday evening. However, there did seem to be a good number of people getting take-out, and a few couples came in after us. We brought our appetites and the wide selection of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes were sure to fill us up! We ordered shrimp rangoon to share, I stuck to sushi for my meal, and my friend went with the Pad Thai. The sushi is just what I expect it to be and the plain rolls really hit the spot. I had a little of everything and I was stuffed, unable to finish my food! The Pad Thai was really yummy, so I jumped at another opportunity to come back later in the week. The second time around, we started the meal with our favorite hot and sour soup. This was by far the best variety my family has ever tasted (and we've tried a lot of hot and sour)! For entrees, I stuck to my tried and true crunchy tuna and fresh salmon rolls. My mom went with the Pad Thai and I couldn't help myself but to have some more of it! My dad went with a different dish, the Red Thai Curry Scallops. The skillet came out sizzling hot, as the scallops and vegetables rested in a bubbling creamy Curry sauce. Not the healthiest choice, but definitely one of the tastiest! The flavors of the creamy coconut paired well with the red curry and was really phenomenal. This place is also BYOB so make sure to bring some wine or beers to have with your meal! I would definitely recommend the Pad Thai or sushi to any fans, as they are spot on here. Coming here for some small bites or a filling meal are both doable, and the experience is well worth the money. So glad I found a new go-to Asian Cuisine spot!

Asian House sits in the Mallard Shopping Centre on northbound Route 130. It is pretty far south of Bordentown, so don't give up hope if you don't see it right way if you are travelling south. The space is very nicely appointed for a Chinese/American shop trying to be all things Asian for the hungry public. There are Sushi, Thai and Chinese options on the menu. I went Chinese for my first visit as I knew it was owned/operated by Fujianese folks from the Mainland. I opted for Szechuan Chicken (extra spicy), which came with Wonton Soup and Pork Fried Rice. The soup was not good. It was a mass produced beef stock tinted brown from the dye in the can it came from. The wontons were thick and not very tasty. The Chicken dish was better. The meat was fresh and the veggies colorful. The sauce lacked much in the way of red Szechuan chilies, and was not hot enough despite asking for extra heat. I think the kitchen was on autopilot and just turned out what they normally do and ignored my request. At least it was decent, even lacking the spice. The Fried Rice was better than average with the grains still distinct and veggies firm. The best thing Asian House has going for it is Misty, the woman running the front of the house. She was friendly, engaging, helpful, and prompt with service. She singlehandedly made my lunch a memorable one, and provided the motivation to return to try other features of their menu.

It is great sushi! Always pleased with it. However, I am a little embarrassed for them by their lack of effort in their "to-go" house salad that comes with the sushi lunch soecial. Be expected to get three pieces of lettuce in your box! edit: I change my mind. Their sushi is average.

Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.

Decided on under the moon cafe and loved the atmosphere and ambiance when we first walked in. Different mix matched tables, glasses and plates. Loved the ceiling tiles and comfy looking benches. I love duck and when I read duck Mac and cheese with cherries I was lost in wonder of the combination of flavors so of course I had to order it. Surprisingly it was very enjoyable. The Mac and cheese was nicely made cheesy, noodles weren't over cooked and over all had good flavor with pieces of duck and a few cherries mixed in. I also ordered the burger which was cooked as requested medium rare and was topped with bacon and an onion ring. I upgrade to the Parmesan truffle fries.which I was slightly disappointed in. I didn't see or taste the Parmesan but there was a slight truffle flavor. The fish tacos I heard were good but not really blacked and the vodka sauce was just okay according to others at the table.

I will say, even the bathroom was decorated to instill a sense of nostalgia. We went for brunch and started with a duck mac and cheese. As you'd expect it was a bit lighter on the duck than one would like, but was ultimately well worth trying. I'd say this goes even moreso if you're a fan of duck, as that's not the mac and cheese pairing you see most often. Beyond that, I got the fish tacos. I'm typically afraid of ordering tacos out due to portion size, and while you do only get two tacos, they are rather large, and come with a side of truffle fries which were exceptional. The tacos themselves were also fantastic and filled with the flavor you'd want and expect from the dish. While we were too full to engage with a dessert, I will say our server was nothing short of delightful and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is in a great location in downtown Bordentown and we will certainly be revisiting when we are back in the area.

Everything about it feels more polished, more inviting, and honestly more memorable. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is stunning. Whether it is date night, a birthday dinner, or a night out with friends, Buddakan Philly always feels like an event. Now let us talk about the food -- I have had almost everything on the menu at this point, and the consistency is incredible every single time. The dumplings and bao buns are absolute must-orders. The bao buns are soft, flavorful, and packed with the perfect balance of savory goodness, while the dumplings are easily some of the best I have had anywhere. Other standout dishes include the edamame dumplings, crispy calamari, wok lobster fried rice, short ribs, and their perfectly cooked filet dishes. The flavors are bold without being overwhelming, and every plate comes out beautifully presented. Even the sushi selections and noodle dishes are top tier. Buddakan does an amazing job of combining elevated dining with comfort food flavors that keep you coming back. The cocktails also deserve recognition. Whether you are getting a classic drink or one of their signature creations, everything feels intentional and well-crafted. Pair that with attentive service and a lively energy throughout the restaurant, and it is easy to see why this place stays on my repeat list. After seven visits, Buddakan Philly still impresses me every single time.
