The restaurant is large and has different areas to sit. If you want to sit at a bar, you can. If you want a table, you can have one. There are booths and chairs. Our waiter was fast and friendly and provided refills throughout the meal. As an appetizer, we requested corn fritters that were served with a sauce. The fritters and sauce were very good. For dinner, I requested shrimp and chicken curry with noodles and vegetables. The food was prepared quickly and delivered to our table. My curry was delicious and it had a small amount of spice. The waiter explained the various levels of heat available in the food. My wife requested level two and I wondered why, since level one was already spicy. My wife likes a touch of spice in her food on occasion. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. I would like to visit again to try the pad Thai. Good meal. Good service.

And the menu was clearly marked for all allergies. I really appreciate when restaurants don't make me beg to keep myself safe. My mom really likes spice. And she doesn't like to be second-guess about whether she can handle it. When she asked for a level of spice that seemed kind of high no one questioned her. When she got her food, even the highest level spice was still not high enough when she asked if she could have a few more spices, our waitress brought over a spice station. She LOVED that. We had a really good time. And just in case you're worried about parking it's free after 6 PM on the street.

We ordered the rare beef noodle soup, a dish with spicy fish, and a clay pot brisket dish. Rare beef noodle soup: (3/5) This dish came with sliced rare beef, onions, bean sprouts, noodles, veggies, and a few other things. The soup was kind of bland and the beef portions were kind of small. The noodles were also average. Spicy fish dish: (5/5) It was indeed spicy and the fish and vegetables were delicious. The fish was tender and had a nice texture unlike some other restaurants that just heat things up in a bag. Brisket clay pot: (5/5) The brisket was super tender and tasty. The vegetables and radish that came with it also had a nice flavor. I know few restaurants that can make this dish as good as this one. Service: (4/5) Our server came to refill water frequently and checked in on us. Ambiance: (3/5) It was nice and quiet since we came close to closing time. One of the employees was eating in the back. The interior was clean though the bathrooms were kind of wet and they had no paper towels and had a moldy hand dryer. Just so you know, they don't have hot tea for free.

But lacking a little something. Thai vermicelli noodles with chicken was good. Wasn't a wow experience. But most definitely better than anything at the airport. I looked up there menu before going there so I could decide what I wanted to get and i decided to order the Torikatsu Ramen which is 鸡排拉面 Fried chicken served w.chicken broth ramen noodle, topped w.scallions, corn, cilantro, broccoli, kikurage mushroom onion and boy can I say it was really delicious and I had a can of diet Pepsi with it. The customer service was amazing as well and they were very helpful and they were extremely quick I ate there and I think I waited maybe 5 minutes for my Ramen. The price of the food is also amazing for my Ramen and diet pepsi it came out to under 15.00. And you get alot of food. The ambiance of the store was decent I think they took over where Jimmy johns used to be at because they are located in between play it again sports and Panera Bread. I did enjoy all of the decor though. Overall this place is amazing and I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Basil Asian Bistro is an upscale Asian bistro serving up truly delicious cuisine. We visited on an…read moreearly Saturday evening and started our meal with the Dragon Fruit Mojito, which was perfectly mixed and extremely refreshing. For appetizers, we tried their egg rolls, and they might honestly be in the top ten egg rolls I have ever had--paired with the old-school hot mustard and duck sauce, they absolutely did the trick. I also tried the coconut shrimp soup; it was flavorful, creamy, and a very unique dish that I had never seen before. My wife ordered the Kani roll and the Rainbow roll, both of which featured incredibly fresh ingredients and beautifully balanced flavors. For my main course, I went with the General Tso's chicken, which was perfectly crispy and wonderfully flavored. If you're looking for an elegant date night spot to feast on upscale Asian fare, this is the perfect place.

Our only hiccup was the reservation I made through yelp wasn't picked up by them. They had no idea we were coming in....so we sat and waited looking like losers who "drop in" with 5 people like we own the place. Rather embarrassing and it was noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Oh well... It's ok. We will return but will call to make reservations next time.

I had heard of Ice or Rice via social media before but my first visit wasn't until March 2026 when…read moreI was in the area anyway. Ice or Rice is located in Cleveland's Asiatown, surrounded by many other Asian restaurants, and has a non-descript exterior and a basic AF interior. There is also only street parking so be aware of that. I was the only customer at 1pm on a Sunday. It only took about 8 minutes for my order to be ready and packaged to go. I was going to order a poke bowl but decided against it when I saw how few ingredients there were. No edamame? Heresy! So at the last minute, I changed my plans and ordered the Thai Dog ($7) and a Spam Musubi ($4.50) and took them home with me to eat for lunch/dinner. The Thai Dog was a generously sized hot dog on a white bun with some pickled vegetables, smothered in 3 different sauces (although I did ask for light sauce). I thought it was delicious, if about $2 overpriced. I ate the Spam Musubi piece for dinner and although also very yummy (I forgot how much I enjoy the smokiness of spam!), this was definitely overpriced at $4.50. I have seen spam musubi usually cost about $3. I won't harp on too much about the price though. Haha! There are lots of other restaurants in the area but Ice or Rice is centrally located and is great for grab and go meals. I LOVE all the Hawaiian dishes on there as well! I think I would come back to try another unique item if I am in the area in the future.

We started with an order of edamame, then I got a shrimp tempura poke bowl - crispy shrimp over a generous bowl of lettuce, seaweed salad and fluffy rice. The shrimp was a little greasy (microwaved and reheated?) but it did the job. And afterwards, I got the strawberry shaved ice - a heaping bowl of ice topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and sliced strawberries, drizzled with strawberry sauce and condensed milk. Overall, a filling meal. If you're a fan of either rice or ice, this place is for you!
