Advertised as $7 for buffet. Somehow I was charged $13. Food was not fresh and subpar. Disappointed.

So-so buffet. Great tasting steak, but some items are extremely salty. Some items do taste good, tho. I'll eat here again if out of choices.

We originally had another restaurant on our radar but BOY were we happy we decided to take the short walk from the ship pier to Cravin' Crabs! They even serve Pancit (a delicious filipino noodle/spaghetti dish) I was not expecting to see that on the menu! Then when we left we realized there's a Filipino deli right next-door. So apparently it's authentic. The seafood was fresh and all the sides were unique and scrumptious! There was one side we enjoyed, we were not sure what it was, we could only decide it was the mashed potatoes, it tasted and had the texture more of some sort of dressing. Our server asked if we wanted some of the Tuscan seafood gravy on it and Yes, Yes, yes!! We did!! There was a little bit of a language barrier but we just pointed at what we wanted and it all worked out!! The food is right in front of you like cafeteria style so you can see what you are getting. My husband and I split one Tuscan Seafood plate with two sides, that was MORE than enough for the two of us for lunch. We'd definitely go back next time we are in ST. Thomas. Bravo!

Also ordered a side of shrimp and that was also 10:10! Upon entering you approach the counter to order and they make your plate. The line moves pretty fast. There is both inside and outside seating. Three of us stayed two nights here. Overall I enjoyed our experience!…read more PRO: -huge room with high ceilings and a spacious living room section. This lets us spread out and not feel claustrophobic. Love this! -the grounds are beautiful, with lots of fountains everywhere and the coquis singing at night. Just lovely. We also enjoyed walking to the beach and seeing baby needlefish (just be careful as these things can jump and pierce soft tissues) -appreciate the welcome drinks -there was coffee and tea and a mini fridge; all appreciated -location was pretty good; it's a short drive to El Yunque and Luquillo Beach CON: -the shower was... not installed right. For some reason, the entire shower wall installation came right out when my aunt was taking out the handheld shower head. We called in as we did not want them to think we broke anything, plus, you know, we wanted to use it safely. To their credit, maintenance came quickly and fixed it. But a minor complaint was our nights were disrupted for about an hour for what was the hotel's fault and there was no compensatory apology. I would've appreciate some breakfast credit or waiving our parking fees. Alas. -they made a mistake with our parking and it was a bit annoying figuring out our in and out privilege. Had to spend about twenty minutes sorting that out. Overall, a pretty property that's a short drive to El Yunque and Luquillo. It was pleasant and convenient and I'd stay there again.

We traveled to the Hyatt for a convention. First, it is pretty. A but dated in ways, but overall…read morethe atheistic is good. Sadly, it's a little tough to get around and service can be slow. The rooms are scattered throughout the property in buildings that house approximately 16 rooms per building. They do have golf carts to drive you, but sometimes I waited 20 minutes and had to call the front desk multiple times to get someone to come. My first house keeper was very good, second was less good, sometimes forgetting to replenish washcloths. The biggest problem I had arose when it was time to leave. I ordered/paid for the shuttle through the tour desk ahead of time to get me to the airport, which I was told can take 4-5 hours to get through right now. The morning of leaving I called the front desk multiple times to try to have a bellman come to get my bags, as one of my bags was over 60 pounds and I was in the second floor with no elevator. I was also in the building the furthest from the lobby and my back was hurting from a long work week. No one ever answered the phone, even waiting over twenty minutes on hold!!!!! I carried my things down and to the lobby, then waited for my shuttle. I became nervous when no one was there. I asked and was told they'd be coming. Even after 7:30 cane and went, there was no shuttle. I asked the front desk multiple times, asked the parking attendants, and tried to ask the tour desk but both times I walked to it there was no one working there. At 7:45 I finally called for a cab because the phone number for the shuttle did not answer their phone. Thankfully I got lucky and there was a cab only ten minutes away. The shuttle finally called me back after multiple calls and said they made a mistake and they'd send someone over in twenty minutes. I couldn't wait, as the airplane wouldn't wait for me, so I took a cab. The shuttle was $35 and I asked for my money to be refunded, who knows if they will. The cab was $70 plus a $20 tip. With all of this plus the other issues I had with Hyatt, I would have to not recommend, especially for a convention.

The people here are so accommodating; they have 3 restaurants on the property and they are all equally good. from formal to casual you can't go wrong eating at any of them. i'm a marriott member and had some points that i used for one night and im happy i took advantage of it. unfortunately they are converting the property to a 4 seasons and it will be far more expensive to stay here. The st. regis operates like a luxury hotel should. i would give it 10 stars if i could. i used the spa facilities and the massages we got were first notch. and jesselyn was a great nature guide that took us around the property. we are sad to be leaving.

For all that this St Regis offers, the website does a terrible job of showcasing it. So here goes!…read more For kids There is an animal shelter with dogs and cats and specialist who will educate you about the animals. There is a small farm with goats to feed. My young kids were delighted with this. There is a boathouse area with free kayaking, standup paddle boarding and inflatable playground. This boathouse also offers more high-tech water sports equipment for rent. For families There are adult bikes and children's bikes on the resort that are complementary. There are golf carts that take you from one area to another as everything is pretty spread out. For example, from the main gate to the hotel is a little less than a mile. Only two free breakfast are included with Marriott status. So if you are traveling with kids, you have to pay $22 plus tip for their breakfast every morning. They have a few sand toys to share out on the beach. The large pool area does have Shallow parts for children. For adults The beach here is gorgeous though setback many yards from the hotel. The pool does not have an adult only area that I know of. There is a nice but small hot tub. You have access to all of the spa amenities every day as a guest here. There is a small gym next to the spa and a larger gym called the wellness center which is about Half a mile from the main area. Food issues The main issue here as many other of viewers have stated is the lack of decent food selection. Sea grapes is decent but only open until 5 PM. Paro gets terrible reviews and is excessively overpriced Mediterranean food. However, an Uber from the hotel to Rio Grande is not expensive around $10 and they are good restaurants, but you must do your own research. I recommend Los kioskos de luquillo Which have many food options and it is basically a beach party scene better for adult adults than kids. Service and butler service overall were spotty. We were given incorrect information multiple times. Don't forget to take a ton of cash to tip-wish they would include this in the final bill. Loved the ocean view, comfy beds, and spacious bathroom. Overall a nice stay and would consider coming back if the food options improved a bit!
