I was pleasantly surprised. I went to the Ashton Place for a work luncheon event. The place had many tables, a dance floor, a bar and buffet table. The staff was great, very attentive, nice and helpful. The food was good. There was chicken, beef, salad, rice, potatoes, pasta and hot vegetables. The red and white wine on the table were good. The only thing I didn't like was the ice cream. It tasted artificial and kind of old. They should replace that. read more

I am writing this review and hoping that it will not be removed. I have had 2 reviews removed because I reviewed venues as a wedding guest and not the actual person who booked the venue. However, one of those places did have a review from someone who attended a craft show there. Anyway, I was there for a funeral luncheon. I found the lobby area bright and welcoming and very clean. The tables were set up with ample space between them so that the servers were not bumping into guests while serving. Our meal was served family style which was perfet for the occasion. It started with a plated salad and then platters of beef and chicken, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. Food was replenished when needed and in a very timely manner. Water and Coke were on the table and choice of 3 different wines served by the glass. Servers were friendly and efficient and it did not appear that the first table served was finished before the last table had even received their food. I did not feel rushed to eat so that they could clean the table. Overall, I was impressed and found everything most satisfactory. Oh, parking is an open parking lot with plenty of spaces. Valet may be available for a larger event ~ not sure. read more

I attended a wedding and reception here over a three day period (large Indian wedding) in April 2016. Overall I'll say the staff seemed to be on their A game for the largest event, the last part which was the 400+ person reception. They had things handled on time, there were enough staff to keep the tables cleared as needed, buffet refilled, etc. The bartenders were friendly and fast. Now, the only reason for my even bothering to leave a review, is so that future brides and grooms have a word of warning that this venue can and will book multiple events in different rooms at the same time. This can create a few issues: 1) One of the events I attended for the wedding I was there for only had half the place rented as this particular event was on a Friday and expected to have far fewer attendees than the big Saturday events. Someone else's wedding reception was going on on the other half of the venue at the same time. Myself and a few other people walked into the wrong reception because there was either not any, or not enough, signage to let you know which one you should be in. We walked in in Indian outfits so it was pretty obvious very quickly we were in the wrong place. Anyway, if that had occurred at the wrong time, it could have been awkward. 2) I could envision an issue where guests of one wedding without open bar manage to find their way into another wedding with open bar; just a thought. 3) The lobby of the venue is a large open space with staircases people like to take pictures on. It just so happened that people from both parties happened to come out to use the stairs for photos at the same time. 4) Last but certainly not least, sound from one side may make it to the other. We were there having a large and loud Indian ceremony and guests from the other side, who were fortunately very cool about the whole thing, actually mentioned "Sounds like you guys are having a big party in there?" when we ran into each other in the lobby because they could hear us through the dividing wall. read more

Our Class Reunion for 250 people came out fairly well, due in large part to our fill-in coordinator/banquet captain Pat Mena. After nearly a year of preparation, our coordinator could not be there and Pat filled in to tie up the loose ends and manage our event began. The service she supervised was good, the food was fine, and the bartenders and servers were all very nice. Despite discouragement, we were very happy to have insisted on a third bartender, as it kept the bar moving. The overall process was less than I would have expected from such a venue. Prices for services changed, details were lost in communication, and unexpected last-minute requests for cash were made. We were surprised when they insisted our final payment be delivered twenty-four hours before our event began as if we could not be trusted for the tiny percentage still left to be paid. This was difficult for us to coordinate on short notice, as other reunion events were underway and our Committee Chair and Treasurer had yet to arrive from out of town. Should you choose this event space, get a written schedule of payments that includes the form in which they must be received; beware of their up-charge for using a credit card; work with the same coordinator throughout all preparation meetings and the event, and insist on a final walk-through with confirmation notes. Plan to arrive early on the day of the event to be sure all details have been covered. We arrived three hours ahead of time and were rushed to finish, as we did not expect to have to reposition tables or clean their centerpiece mirrors. Placing the mirrors and our twenty-one flower arrangements on all the tables took time, and a few of us were late for our event as a result. read more

I didn't even think of reviewing this place until now. This place is AMAZING!!! My hubby & I had our reception here in 2006 (yea, this is a long overdue review). After looking at tons of places in the area and around, we settled on the Ashton Place for lots of reasons. (1) The reception hall was clean and modern. Each room had a stairway leading down from the bride's room. A private roomy room for the bride to use complete with a private bathroom! Big enough to fit my wedding dress (Super bonus). The bride's room even locked and that was a total plus for us. (2) We got to sample the food BEFORE signing any contracts with them. How many places are that confident about their food? All the reception places we went to said we can do a tasting after the contract is signed and the deposit was cleared. What good is that if the food sucks? Not at the Ashton Place! They said come on by any time to try our food. No contracts needed. If there was something we wanted special that wasn't being served at the tasting, Chef could made it special for us. We went for 2 tastings, the first one was to get an idea of the place and the 2nd was to taste the possible entrees we were going to serve. Their Chef prepared the entrees special for us and we were still welcome to try anything else that they were serving that night for the tasting. We still didn't sign a contract either time (we did after the 2nd tasting). And let me say... The food was delicious!!! (3) The staff was so accommodating and friendly. We asked if we could bring in a sealed case of Grey Goose (hubby is a vodka snob) since it wasn't on their list of drinks (We opted for the upgrade that included premium vodka - Ketle One, not like those other places that calls Absolut or Stoli premium vodka). They told us we couldn't bring in any outside drinks, but they'll talk to the supplier and see what they can do. They threw in 5 bottles of Grey Goose set aside special for my hubby and our bridal party who declared "Goose Me." We had a coordinator, Stacy, who was great at helping us but 1/2 way through the wedding she opted to move out of town. James took over and did an amazing job! (4) The night of our reception was just perfect. I can't even begin to rave enough about how elegant the room looked. It was beyond my wildest dreams (it's a dream on a budget). They made the room look more expensive than we paid and all my guests were wowed when they walked in. We had our very own room manager who took care of us like we were their only guests ever. The servers were friendly, they took care of all my guests. The food was still raved about months after the wedding. People kept saying how incredible the food was and how it was shocking that it was "banquet food." We went to several weddings after ours as guests and all our friends (same group of friends from our wedding) compared the wedding food at these weddings to ours. There was no comparison! (5) The sweet table... Mmmm.... There was so much there, we took trays of it with us at the end of the night and snacked on it at the hotel later that night and the next couple days after. (6) I'm Chinese, my hubby is Irish. To honor my heritage, we wanted to do a tea ceremony before our reception. The original plan was to have it in our room before the guests arrived with only the family and a few guests. Unfortunately, there was also a wedding of 300+ people next to us so the lobby was getting crowded. The manager James scrambled and worked his magic, set up a nice room for us elsewhere so we could do our tea ceremony while the guests entered our reception and snacked. Ok... and lastly, only because this is soooo long... (7) We had a small wedding, 100 guests so we took the small room in the center. They asked us to sign a release saying we wouldn't mind giving up our room if another wedding party wanted the space. They would relocate us to another room that's the same size or larger at no costs or room minimum up charges to us. We went from a room that held 100 - 120 to a room that held about 150! This time it was so much more personal, this time was for my sisters wedding. I had the pleasure of not only being the Matron of honor but the Wedding Planner as well. I have worked with many venues over the course of my career as an Event & Wedding Planner. However I've never worked with a person as awesome, knowledgeable, and accommodating as Akanksha Darr with the Ashton Place. Her level of customer service is OUTSTANDING, to say the least. She accommodated us in every way imaginable, sometimes working with planners from the venue can be a little tough, but she was simply amazing. The venue was beautiful and they allowed us to plan the wedding of my sisters dream, from the ambience to the food everything was great! I would highly recommend them to any client that I have! I couldn't have had a better experience with Ashton Place! The food, variety, decorations, staff, and wedding manager were all great!! I worked with Ashton place for the last year planning my wedding reception and could not be any happier with the results! Ashton Place has many wedding coordinators/managers and I was lucky enough to work with James. Working with him made my life a lot less stressful, which is every brides dream! They have a couple different packages and a lot of food choices. We decided on the family style option...it was delicious and no one went home hungry (or thirsty for that matter)! They let us bring in our own wedding cake and had an amazing dessert table too (and we could take the leftover desserts home). Like most brides and grooms know it is very hard to eat the day/night of your wedding. My now husband and I only had time to eat a partial dinner during the wedding, so my sister asked if they could save some food for us. At the end of the night one of the waitresses handed us a tray full of our warmed up wedding food. It was amazing and we were both extremely grateful for that!! Ashton Place was on the list of "venues to check out" for our wedding. We ended up choosing another venue, but this was one of our favorites. We didn't choose this because I wasn't a fan of the decor, and I felt that I'd have to do a lot of creative work/decorating in order to cover a large wall that divided two rooms. It was similar to a classroom divider. Also, due to the location of the building in a strip mall, there was not any opportunity to take pictures outside the venue. However, there is a gorgeous wood staircase and elegant bar in the reception room, with a private bridal room upstairs. I had no problems booking an appointment with Jackie, or getting a menu emailed to me. This is an affordable venue - our target was to have a Friday wedding for less than $60/person. Ashton's Akanksha Dar was a great help with our wedding. From day one she made everything easy and stress free. This venue is not only great for any budget size, but covered about 90% of the wedding worries. Only thing we had to do was get a photographer and dj. They covered the rest for us and helped us from beginning til end. Even during our wedding they made sure everything went smoothly and that we were enjoying ourselves. I had my henna ceremony at Ashton this past April. It was a great experience. Puneet was the nicest and most straightforward individual I dealt with during the entire wedding planning process. He was willing to work with me on the price of the event and he worked to accommodate our requests. The day of the event, he was readily available to help fix the issues the decorator created even though it was not puneets responsibility. The service was great as well. The staff were very friendly. The salad was soggy, bread was stale and my boyfriend attended a wedding at this venue and we BOTH got sick from the food here. couldn't believe we got food poisoning from this banquet hall... On top of that, the plates and utensils were also dirty; when I grabbed my spoon, I felt the greasiness of it when I went to eat my soup. The plate that I was eating off of had a giant grease mark too and I requested for a new one. Be more thorough and take care of the way you handle food, plates and utensils!!! read more

I came here for a wedding reception the other night, and overall I was impressed. The venue is very pretty - crystal chandeliers, a staircase from the bride's room into the reception room, really nice bathrooms, the whole thing. There is a coat room (self-serve, but nice to have). The room was decorated beautifully- uplighting, nice place settings, nice decor, etc. The food was what impressed me the most. The reception was small (about 6 tables, about 10 to a table), but the food was quality. We had cream of mushroom soup, a house salad with raspberry dressing, and a choice of 3 entrees. I had the salmon, which came with veggies and rice. The salmon was perfect, and everything was seasoned nicely. Definitely one of the nicer wedding meals I have had. The only issue was that the reception was supposed to start at 8:30, but it didn't start until much later (I have no idea how much of that was on the venue, and how much of that was on the bride/groom), and the food came out later than planned. Considering the food was actually good, that is a little bit forgiven...but the groom ended up going to each table to reassure them that the food was coming out soon. He shouldn't have to do that. So...service/food timing needs some work, but the rest is definitely on point. read more

It must be next to impossible to prepare such massive quanities, but they do it gracefully, and the servers are always cordial. We were at a wedding here on 10/7/17 and I was very disappointed with every aspect. Their sound equipment kept malfunctioning. They couldn't get the food right for at least a dozen people. They threatened to make anyone with a food allergy sign a waiver! The staff seemed very confused and unorganized. They assured us that anyone who requested a vegan meal wouldn't just be served a plate of hot vegetables...and then served exactly that! The bartender was extremely rude and very unfriendly. We couldn't hear ourselves over the blaring music from the wedding in the room next to us. I don't know why the couple getting married chose this place unless it was really cheap. If that's the case, then beware: you get what you pay for. read more

I just got married on 28th May 2017( memorial day weekend) at the Ashton Place.We had both ceremony and reception here. This place and people are just amazing. Puneet and Akanksha did great job. We appreciate Akanksha's work a lot, she handled everything so gracefully on our big day. Ashton has all facilities one would need for any function. Also they are very flexible with all other vendors. I would highly recommend Ashton Place for any small/big functions. They are the best event organizers. I've been here for 2 events and this place is definitely great! The service and preperation of events are great. Food is average to good. The staff is very friendly. The open bar is awesome. The guy serving took care of us and was quick on his feet. He filled our cups with a lot of liqour and a dash of the filler. The food was family style chicken, beef, salad, bread, mash potatoes (too much butter), and I forgot the dessert. It is a great place and I am sure it wont be the last time I am here. read more

This review is way over due. I had my wedding at Ashton Place last summer and can tell you that they were able to put together the wedding of my dreams and within my budget. The food is amazing! They do not serve your typical banquet food. We had the most unique appetizers including a shrimp shooter which consists of a shrimp hung over a shot glass with tequila and a mango flavor. Amazing! We also had a martini bar and had a burrito station at the end of the wedding so our guests we not go home hungry. People loved it and are still complimenting us a year later on what an epic wedding it was. The room was decorated beautifully and was better than I imagined. My son and his wife chose Ashton Place for their reception. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the room was beautiful. I especially appreciate the tasting meal we had before the venue was selected. The choices were all delicious and the portions generous. The upstairs bride and groom rooms were stocked with some of the passed appetizers to ensure the bridal party had a taste with the favorite being a Shrimp shot. My daughter wedding took place at Aston. We are extremely pleased with the venue , staff and management. Management and staff are so courteous and went beyond anyone can think off. They honored so many last minute requests and changes and never said "NO". All the guests enjoyed the ambience and spacious entrance hallway and the banquet hall. They provided us with a diverse and delicious menu, which all of our meeting participants are still raving about after the event. I was so upset I never went back to talk to them and demand a refund of some of my money because I felt like screaming at this people . They do not honor their contracts at this venue. The reps are not concern about their customers. They have very poor communication skills.(there was an account rep change and no notice was given). They waited six weeks before the event to state they can't handle the event. I do not recommend this venue for a wedding or corporate event. read more

My fiance and I stopped at the Ashton Place to check it out and ended up booking a tasting. Our FREE tasting was AMAZING! We have been talking to Puneet, and he was the one to do the tasting. He explained how everything worked, brought out each of our courses, explained what each one was and what was in it, and then left us alone to eat and talk about the food. The food was beyond my expectations. I expected banquet food, and we did not get anything close to banquet food. It was a 5 star, fancy, flavorful meal. The fact that there was a purple orchid on each entree plate was something extra and really made the plate look over the top. I was extremely impressed, as was my fiance who is extremely picky. He had zero complaints and loved everything he ate, which does not happen often. :) read more

We selected Ashton Place for our organization's annual gala fundraiser. We were delighted with the entire experience. The facility is elegant, the layout was perfect for our purposes and Kari and the staff were on top of all our (numerous) requests throughout the planning and the event. Held my mom's 75th birthday her over the weekend. While the party itself was fine, the food and service definitely wasn't very good. My wife bit into a purple piece of plastic in her soup. And apparently she wasn't the only one who had plastic pieces in her soup. Also I didn't even have the chance to taste my dinner. After loading up my plate with food, I had to get up from my seat to use the restroom. When I got back, my plate was gone, taken by a server. There were also several complaints about the rudeness from the serving staff. Our party coordinator was good. But her wait staff was rude and impatient. Guests were asking for more water pitchers and some just told them to go to another table and get it from there. That's unacceptable. It was like they couldn't be bothered to get a fresh pitcher for the table. Thankfully my mom and the guests had a good time regardless of the service. I will be looking elsewhere to host future parties. read more

I absolutely loved the Ashton place for our wedding on 7/15/16. We first heard about this venue from my husbands co worker who got married here. What I loved when I first walked in was the fact that we were allowed to taste the food before we signed our contract. That's right. We didn't have to pay any down payment down for the venue. We got to try to food first which was absolutely amazing. We then signed our contract and began planning. Akanksha made sure that we had every single detail covered and made our night as smooth as possible. We had no complaints from guest either. They loved the food (which was amazing). They don't mass produce food and keep them in heaters until it's time to be served. Everything was cooked and prepared that day. They have a spacious parking lot that they own. So if guest were drinking they could leave their car there without worrying about being towed. I will definitely recommend the Ashton Place to everyone. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this venue. I think one of the favorite parts of my wedding was walking into my reception and seeing how beautiful it was. Dianna, our wedding coordinator, was the BEST ever. We were hesitant at first when our initial coordinator had changed, but honestly we are so glad and lucky it did happen! I didn't really have much of a vision to what I wanted my venue to look like. She was super helpful with what colors would work and what people like. She was also available whenever I needed her, even on her days off! The food was amazing! We had two different appetizers, a coffee bar, late night snacks, and the family style dinner. Everyone raved about the food, which also leads me to say they did a complimentary food tasting before we even booked. Soooo many places don't offer that! They also did a tasting for appetizers too. The decorations they provided were so pretty! I did a coral theme so they provided the table runners, chair covers, sashes, and pink up lighting! I also had half the tables with the floating candle centerpiece that they provided and everything just all together turned out so beautiful. Everything ran smoothly, I would not change one thing! I would recommend this venue to anyone, and I especially recommend working with Dianna. I could go on and on with wonderful things to say about this place but I will leave it as if you want a memorable extra special day, choose this place! read more
