Tommy R catered our wedding and we are so happy with how everything turned out. We wanted an outdoor, backyard farmhouse-themed wedding, and Tom not only provided the food, but also coordinated all of the rentals (tent, bar counter, tables, chairs, linens, dance floor, silverware and glassware, anything you need and can think of!), which was a huge help. I had tried contacting some party rental companies on my own, and none of them returned my calls or was able to fulfil my needs. Tom and his staff showed top-notch professionalism, and Tom even came by the house a few times to make sure that the tent setups etc., was done correctly. Tom truly had our best interest - he would think of things such as adding fans to help circulate airflow, and adding a ramp on the side of the house so that guests can walk comfortably to the backyard. Tommy R catered for my wedding at my house. All my guests were very impressed with the services and the food was so great. Tom and his staff did everything, and more than I could have asked for. His captain, David, went beyond what was needed, and they covered all the bases, from bringing food to some of our older guests, to cleaning up spills from little ones. That was more than what I expected. I was going for a Rustic Italian BBQ (based on a few pictures I got from Pinterest) for 150 guests, and Tom came up with a menu that was fantastic and beyond what other caterers were offering. It was original to our wedding. From getting the tent and tables, to making the best chocolate wedding cake, and cleaning up like no one was there, Tom and his staff were so flexible that I cannot express enough thanks to what is normally a stressful event. Tommy R's catered a party we had in our backyard and we were so happy with everything. Tom had great input in the planning phase. The staff at the event were fantastic -anticipated whatever needed to be done from beautiful food display to unobtrusively clearing away used dishes etc. The food was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved it especially the beef tenderloin sandwiches! One guest said the Caesar salad was the best she ever had. Gaby was so helpful and reassuring on several phone calls. We have had Tommy cater our family parties since the '90's. This weekend he came to our rescue. Let me explain in a note I sent him: Words cannot express the gratitude I am feeling for how you and your staff came to our rescue and put together an amazing wedding rehearsal dinner in our home on such short notice! Less than 24 hours notice!!! Everything was perfect. The entire family-including the new out of town in laws loved all your food! The Ravioli Vesuio is our favorite and the garlic pesto sauce is to die for! Tommy R (Tommy Romano) catered our wedding and the food was absolutely delicious. Years ago I often ate at his restaurant in Hinsdale and I hoped that our wedding food would be just as good. It was as good if not better. Several guests mentioned that they had never had such good food at a wedding. We had a sit-down dinner for 75 people at Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge in Hinsdale. Tommy took care of everything from the cloth tablecloths and napkins, glass barware, china etc. We had delectable appetizers, cocktails and wine. The dinner included salad and choice of four entrees and dessert. Tommy provided a very cool chocolate cake with a raspberry sauce and it was served with berries. It was scrumptious. We selected the perfect menu..Summer Solstice Salad with fruit, waffle croutons, goat cheese and orange basil vinaigrette, grilled shrimp, cheeseburger sliders, BBQ pulled pork on pretzel rolls, grilled chicken sandwiches with garlic basil pesto, smoked provolone on focaccia bread, a chopped salad, mango lemonade, lemon bars, cannolis, and cupcakes decorated like sunflowers (the party theme). Tommy recently catered our wedding and he and his staff did an OUTSTANDING job. We wanted an all vegetarian menu, and while other cateres we had consulted were urging us away from that, Tommy was ready for the challenge. I had multiple guests (who weren't even vegetarian) come up to us and say it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. He took the time to meet with us when we wanted, answered all of our questions, even the ones we asked multiple times, and was there on the day of our wedding to make sure everything went right. This past week, Tommy R's Catering, came out to my school (I'm the assistant principal at Alfred Nobel School in Chicago Public Schools) and they grilled up delicious food for our families, students and staff. We were thrilled and surprised when Tommy donated his catering service to us. Tommy R catered our daughters engagement party that we had in our backyard and we were so pleased. We had never used Tommy R before and we never had a caterer grill right at our house before so we were a little nervous since we didn't know what to expect but Tommy and his crew did an amazing job!! Everyone loved the food at our Halloween wedding. We had beef short ribs, chicken piccata, and veggie lasagna... people are still talking about them. Tommy R's catered our neighborhood Progressive Dinner this past weekend. He supplied the food for 200 people at 23 dinner houses, planning is a little tricky for this event and everything went so smoothly. They worked with us to choose the menu, we even had a preview of the menu a few months prior to the event. Logistics were organized, on time and the food was amazing. Tommy R's did the dinner buffet for the Lyons Township Class of 1975 Reunion. We could have had anywhere from 100-? attending and we ended up with near 200.
