Prior to choosing this Groomer, I called and asked around to see what people in the area had to say. I was told by several strangers and one reliable friend to check out Bonsai! I emailed and asked if I could visit and was told yes. When I visited, the shop was very busy. I could tell the groomers were attentive and caring with their charges. I liked that. The shop was clean and organized. There are a few products but the focus is clearly the grooming activities! I really liked that part! I set appointments for the entire year and I'm so glad because my dog is going to be the best groomed pup in Grafton! I'm a very particular customer. I like vendors who will communicate honestly with me no matter what. When my last Groomer refused to return my calls after my dog was injured during a session, I decided to move on. It wasn't the injury, it was her refusal to call me and talk to me about it. I've set my expectations with the crew at Bonsai. All I want is clear communication so I can always take the best care of my Service dog. They agreed that communication is always an important part of good service. That made me happy right away! I consider Groomers critical members of my service dog's care team alongside the Vet, behavioral trainers, and his skills trainers. A service dog can't ever appear dirty or disheveled because they go everywhere their handle goes. Good grooming is an essential part of the service dog's training and health. My dog was able to wander in the grooming area after he was all done, and he came out happy as can be!! He smelled clean, looked clean, his nails were great, and his toes were groomed nicely. Danni made sure no other dogs would be there that afternoon to totally devote to a stress free experience for my girl. I'm grateful and she turned out beautiful! Fancy Pants Pet Salon…read more 0 my heart is broken...disgusting Racist people!!!! I took Einstein to Fancy Pants today for his first grooming appointment and all I asked them to do was shampoo blow dry, clip the hairs from his butt so his poop wouldn't stick to his hair and clean around his eyes. I specifically said do not cut his hair down because the kids love it when he runs in his hair flops in the wind. When I arrived all of his hair was cut off. I expressed my disappointment and requested a refund just then all their customer service went downhill from there. They refused to refund me and accuse me of being a bad Pet owner. One lady said it's just a dog his hair will grow back. Another lady told me I should brush him and take better care of him. The cashier said I should groom him myself ...Wow! I would've never expected to be treated like this, all because of an $80 refund. They could have offered a partial refund or discount on future services instead they Insulted me one by one as they stood behind the counter and laughed. She did them for free, but that wasn't the best part, she was so good with my older dog and was so caring that I now make the drive from West Allis to Lannon to take all 3 of my Border Collies there. She is so good caring for the older dog and the first time I picked her up she looked like a puppy. She was silky and smooth and clean and smelled awesome. I recommended a friend to go to her that had rescued a Border Collie that has some people issues...her dog did great there, no issues at all. They offer both outdoor access kennels as well as custom kennels that mimic a room in a home, or a basic kennel. We chose the kennel with outdoor access and our dog loved being able to go inane out as she saw fit. They allow you to bring in your dogs favorite food, treats and comforts. We brought our dogs favorite blanket. They have a large center with a trail to take your dog for a walk and offer play times. I liked the flexibility of picking what works best for our dog instead of a cookie cutter boarding like so many other paves. It's clean, smells good and is well staffed. We left on vacation confident our dog would be safe, cared for and spoiled just like at home. Trusted, and profession make them one of Ozaukee counties best boarding facilities.
