We called inquiring about a cat nail trim. Normally our friend does them but we were in desperate need of a clipping asap and they got us in the next morning. My boyfriend held our sweet girl while the woman who worked there clipped her nails. While Chloe was quite squirmy, she got her nails clipped fairly quickly for a fair price. While there, I also picked up a couple dog chew treats for a dog birthday party later that day. While our cat does best with our friend, we would go here again if needed. read more

Absolutely loved the staff, facility and results at EmBark! The last groomer I took my golden retriever to they had him crated for over an hour in a stressful environment, and the setup at EmBark was the opposite! My dog was able to wander in the grooming area after he was all done, and he came out happy as can be!! He smelled clean, looked clean, his nails were great, and his toes were groomed nicely. They evened out his leg fur after our at home try, and he looked so much better! The staff was caring, attentive, and I will definitely be making another appointment for my pup again. read more

I've been getting my cat groomed at this place for 10 years. The last two times, he developed fleas after visiting their place. My cat is strictly an indoor cat. Maybe fleas were tracked in on our shoes, but I doubt it. I'm nervous about taking him back there. Now he's developed a huge mat on his chest and belly, and I just don't know what to do. read more

Sara from Embark emailed me upon seeing my review and immediately apologized for the misunderstanding concerning Denzel's butt. She was so friendly and owned the mistake, then offered me either a full refund or a redo. We opted for the redo. When I went to pick him up, she showed me her job to make sure she understood what I wanted. It was great! Denzel pooped not long after getting home and he was poop-free! Thank god. Great service. Great communication. I'll definitely be returning in the future. :) read more

EmBark Pet Spa - Dog after Dog Grooming - Bath And Brush Only - Pet Groomers Near Me - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

We loved this pet spa! We had been to nervous/hesitate/resistant to getting our dog groomed because she is part Great Dane (so huge!) and sometimes struggles when she is separated from her owners. I contacted this business via Yelp and the owner got back to me right away. She reassured me that our dog would be fine and we could stay if we needed to (we could actually see her from the waiting area). This business did a wonderful job making our Maui smell and look amazing! They also gave her a fur treatment which reduces some of her shedding. I am now constantly trying to brush her to keep up with the great work they started. I also have friends who go to this pet spa and love it. Highly recommend! read more

EmBark does a fantastic job with our furry babies! They are always so calm, yummy smelling and nails perfectly filed down after their appointments. I love that they then don't lock them up after their baths and let the dogs mingle with each other. And as if we needed more to love they get really cool bandannas. Very reasonable prices too!!! read more

Needed a savior after taking my dog to the park because he always seems to target the mud. EmBark had openings right away! Their location is small, but wonderful. It looks incredibly clean and has room to hang out while you wait for your pup. They cleaned up my dog very well. The only downside was that they did not include a teeth cleaning even though the price was the same as other places that do include it. Overall, this place did great work and took care of my good boy! read more

Our dog is already our little child to us so when looking for that special place to bring him to get him all spiffed up we were beyond happy to find Embark. It's really easy to get here and the shop they have is adorable. Tucked back into the Bay View area it is worth the drive from Riverwest. His pampering took about an 1.5 hours so we went over to Vanguard and had a beer and some brats. Not only were Embarks prices very reasonable but the care that Ralph got in getting him cleaned up was the best. He can be a little skirmish with his nails and just getting a bath in general. Embark handled him like a champ. We used the Furminator and it chilled out his shedding like no other treatment I've seen. All in all we are pleased and will be back! Thanks Embark! read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. Every time I bring Abigale to EmBark she has a great experience. That says a lot about a dog who has some nervous tendencies. Her haircuts are always awesome and she leaves smelling fresh. I love that the dogs aren't caged and that the grooming happens out in the open. The dogs waiting to be groomed or picked up are always calm which I take to mean that they're being treated well. I continue to be incredibly impressed with the service, prices, and hospitality. read more

Wow! I'm so impressed with the friendly, professional talented people at this place. Sarah took my matted, over energized standard poodle, Zelda, and transformed her into a snowy white princess. I took my short-haired cat in for his first grooming/lion cut. I wanted to get him shaved down before I moved in with my boyfriend who has allergies. The staff was extremely nice, and responsive via email when I contacted them to set up my appointment. I was a bit apprehensive because every time I've tried to give my cat a bath, it (obviously) goes terribly. They were done with the bath, nail trim, and lion cut in less than 40 minutes! I hate to complain that they were "too fast", but they had estimated an hour-hour and a half so I was in the middle of dinner when they called. I will definitely be back - my kitty is adorable and we've had no sneezing in the house! read more

I can swear I have already reviewed this place, but apparently not. We take our blonde long haired daschund here, and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff always give him a haircut that makes him look dapper. He comes out fresh and clean with a new bandana to boot. The bandanas are generally seasonally themed. Our dog needed to have extra special care after he had back surgery, and the owner was very accommodating to our pups needs. We wanted to ensure he was ok during his recovery, and allowed me to stay with him during his haircut. Normally you wouldn't need to get a haircut for an injured and recovering dog, but with a no-shed animal, it is kind of a requirement. Kudos to EmBark for their skills with animal grooming and kind demeanor. We'll definitely keep coming back! read more

My furbaby has been going to EmBark Pet Spa for a couple of years now and he loves it. He always looks so handsome once he is done and I love their different themed bandanas they put on Jasper. Its nice they have night and Saturday appointments too. They do tend to book out pretty quickly, but it just shows how many people take their pets there. Staff is always super friendly! read more

Took my pooch, Meadow here on a Thursday at 11am. When I originally called the week prior to schedule, they were super friendly and very eager to help me find a time that would work to bring her in. I love the fact that they get right to work on your pet as soon as you bring them in. They told me they'd only need her for a little over an hour and they didn't lie. Their waiting area is super warm and welcoming, and I think my favorite part was how calm the atmosphere was. I've been to groomers that are loud with barking dogs and more. EmBark was, in a word, chill. Despite this, Meadow was so nervous that when the groomer came around from the counter, she peed on the floor. This was taken in great stride despite my embarrassment and profound apologies, I suppose it is nowhere near the first time - and they were quick to clean it up with specialty cleaners. For a very affordable cost, Meadow came home with her nails trimmed, her coat feeling, looking, and smelling great; and, my favorite part, a Wonder Woman/Bat Girl/Super Girl bandana on that was absolutely adorable. It's like they knew just want to do to win me over. I'm sold, we will be back! read more

Our dog came home happy, clean, with perfectly short nails and SO SO SO soft. We have a pug and brushing him this time of year is so hard! It was like he had lost 4 lobs in dog hair alone :). Plus, scheduling was a breeze! I sent a message on Yelp and it was responded to quickly and we were able to get him in FAST! Can't beat the prices either!! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back! read more

I'm so grateful for this place! I've been bringing my boxer here since he was 5 months old and the staff has always been very patient and kind. My dog had some anxiety when he was a young pup, and the staff would take time to show him around, let him check out his environment, and make sure he was comfortable. They helped him learn to like going to the groomer. They do a great job getting him all cleaned up and always send him home with a cute bandana. read more

This place is great and I recommend it to all fur parents. Amanda was the one that groomed my pup and she did awesome. My pup Shaggy is a Golden Doodle with a beautiful red coat that I did not want to have shaved off, but I was not sure because he had some mats. Long story short, Amanda was great with Shaggy and she was able to take out all of his mats/knots with very little cutting of his hair....he looks great. I will be taking Shaggy back. Thanks Amanda and Embark you guys rock! read more

I took my dog to Embark for the first time and I'm highly impressed! It's a cozy shop in a good way and walking in, you'll see beautifully groomed dogs walking out with their happy humans. This groomer doesn't have cages, so when the dogs are done, they get to walk around and socialize! My dog was playing with her new friends when I walked in. The groom itself was perfect, she feels soft and clean now. The prices are reasonable as well. I will definitely be returning! read more

Great groomers. Friendly staff and welcoming environment. Reasonably priced and offer a variety of grooming service for your pet.

I've taken my two dogs here twice for walk in services. I had their teeth brushed, one dog's anal glands expressed, and one dog had a blueberry facial. Both times the staff was friendly, and the services were quick. My dogs seemed happy when they came back. read more

And again this pet spa is always so great! Just adopted a 7month old Yorkie this last weekend and he was pretty matted up. I called this morning and they got sweet Tucker in this afternoon. They are affordable, have great service, and do a WONDERFUL job with cats. We have a Persian, sweetest kitty in the world, but when you brush her she becomes a little demon cat. Embark bathes her, shaves her into the cutest lion cut, and trims her nails! She comes out smelling beautiful and looking like a little lion. A lot of places won't groom cats, and they do it without stressing out our cat. Advice - Book WAY in advance, it takes us about 3 months to get in on a Saturday. read more

While the name says 'Embark' they will not only treat a canine to a good voyage, but also a feline! Who is crazy enough to not only bathe a cat and then attempt to groom it? Why, these friendly folks of course! This review applies to such a cat of 'reluctant' decadence. Like other reviews suggest, you must book far in advance, at least one month with a flexible schedule...otherwise, it might even take longer. However, it is worth it for your furry friend! My furry gal is a long haired cat with an insatiable curiosity...meaning she gets into any mess she can find and then rolls in it. This summer was exceptionally cruel, with its bristling heat and lack of a good lake breeze. Honestly, kitty just sat by the fan with a nihilistic attitude I'd never seen before. Sadness. Then, one day, her appointment arrived for Embark. I dropped her off and it took about an hour and a half for a full bath and lion cut! (That's quick!) The staff were nice, this was my pet's first grooming experience so I wasn't sure how she'd react...I would not write this review if it weren't for her exceptional reaction to this place! That cat that lay tired in front of the fan is no more! Her mood instantly perked up and has been significantly improved by the removal of her hot undercoat and the swell treatment of everyone involved. Anyone with a long-haired cat should book them right now! I definitely plan to revisit, especially before summer, because the best judge of their services (my pet) could not be happier with the results! read more

My dogs look brand new after a few hours at the spa! Staff is a friendly bunch and are happy to accommodate my requests. I took my dogs here recently to get groomed (bath, nails clipped, etc.). I hand over one of the leashes and the other dog has an accident on the floor, which is not typical for them but I guess their excitement got the best of them. I immediately apologized and offered to clean it up but they didn't even bat an eye and said they'd take care of it. They are extremely friendly. When I picked up the dogs they were so happy and they smelled amazing. I couldn't have been happier. Plus they gave them little bandanas to wear that were absolutely adorable. read more

Affordable. Friendly. Great service. They not only service dogs but cats too! We had a cat with awful dreads and they were able to give her a fresh start. Our pooch, who is a Mastiff/Rottweiler mix costs $31 to bath and trim nails (no cut which may cost more). What a great price! They also are reliable. You know that when you pick up your furry friends they will be well groomed. Bonus, they always pick out the best bandana for him too. Additionally, they usually can get you in the same week. I highly recommend Embark for all your furry friends spa needs. read more

I am still smiling looking over at my dog, Embark really is the best! My dog had a terrible experience with a previous groomer leaving him skittish. Quite honestly I was afraid he would take it out on the wonderful ladies/gents at Embark. I waited nearby for them to call me and tell me there was a problem but the call never came. I had him bathed and cut and when I walked in an hour and a half later he had a big smile on his face. My dog just loves Embark! The people there really know how to treat/handle animals well. My dog was so calm and he looked so good with the cute bandana I was a proud mama! Can't say enough things about this place, they even got me in the same day. I take my miniature schnauzer, Ruby, to EmBark and when I return for her she is always happy and looking absolutely adorable!
