While the salespeople are nice, the guest service people are horrible and the extended warranty is a complete joke. It is 100% worthless. We purchased a table and chairs two weeks ago after being quite happy with our couch purchase in 2023. We purchased the 5 year extended warranty for the couch at time of purchase. About 2 weeks ago, we noticed that the material that the cushions sit on which is connected to the frame, started separating from the frame. Within a few days, the cushions were completely inside the couch and it was almost completed separated. We mentioned this issue when we were buying the table. We were told it should be covered by the warranty; but that Ashley no longer used that company because of issues and if we had a problem to call Ashley guest services. I called GBS (the warranty company ) and reported the claim including pictures as requested. The claim was denied so I called Ashley guest services as told. Again, I sent pictures of the separation and they said they would get back to me in 2 business days. I received a response 2 days later saying there was nothing they could do because it was past the one year warranty, but I could submit a claim because we had the 5 year warranty. All that did was send me back to GBS!!! I called and the Ashley guest services person was very rude and said "they would not override the warranty denial." I asked if there was anything Ashley could do to make it right and she repeated the same thing. We will NEVER purchase another piece of furniture from them again and will be warning everyone we know not to either. My husband is canceling the extended warranty on the table as we speak. First of all, this is not an official Ashely store, but is what they called a Licensee. Sales process was nice and easy. However everything after has been a disaster. Delivery showed up 2 hours early, while I was on a work call, so I was only able to give it a quick look before they left. I wasn't too concerned because they said we have 72 hours to report any issues. That night we found damage with 2 of the items. It took 2 hours the next day to finally get ahold of someone who said "they submitted my request and some will call me back in 24-72 hours. Then about 48 hours later I get a text that parts are being shipped to my house and once they arrive I can call them to schedule a tech to come out to repair. I called the number given and told them this is brand new never used furniture I don't want it repaired, it should be exchanged. The person could only repeat what was on their script and ignored what I was saying. I kept pushing to escalate and all in all was given 4 different numbers to call and talked with 5 different people who all just said this was the process. That is when I called the main Ashley number and found out this wasn't a official Ashley store, and because of that Ashely just washed their hand of the whole issue. How is it ok for me to pay full price for repaired furniture? After posting reviews I was contacted by their escalation team, who again could nothing but read from a script that this is their process. read more

I found your purchase history and sent that along with your review and contact info to our escalation team. They will reach out within 48 hours to address this. -kl Well it is now Tuesday 10/29, which pretty well is well over 48 hours and I have heard crickets. This company is unable to keep their word. If their "Escalation Team" is so busy they are unable to keep up that SPEAKS VOLUMES! Avoid this company!!!! It is too bad yelp doesn't allow negative numbers for their reviews. This company had a great opportunity to fix the issue or at the very least be responsive or at least follow thru, but nope! Well they brought another table. It was broken too! They won't take it back and cancel the sale. They only want to keep giving me a new one. They are totally unwilling to do another replacement. Anya was my sales associate and showed me pieces that reflected exactly what I was looking for. The general manager (didn't catch his name) was also very welcoming and polite. One of the best purchase experiences. Sales people were helpful, low pressure and up front. Been to both their stores near my home. Prices were surprisingly fair. I got some anxiety if my stuff would arrive on the promised day. Delivery communication was amazing, provided with a tracker, and within minutes of delivery I received a call asking how things went. With COVID-19, availability of many couches has been a 6-8 month lead time other places, but we are thrilled to be able to get what we wanted by early April. I have been consistently let down by Ashley HomeStore. Originally we ordered a couch back in March. It took a while to deliver, but I was very understanding due to Covid. However when they delivered the couch it was the wrong configuration. I was ensured I would get a call correcting the issue in the next 24-48 hours. I did not. I reached out. Everyone acted like it wasn't their problem. I finally drove to the store to talk to someone in person. They reordered the couch. I have now been waiting on them to pick up the old couch and deliver the new for MONTHS. They keep pushing back delivery... and I barely get an apology. It's been over 100 days since I originally ordered the couch........ I planned to buy a kitchen table from Ashley but not anymore. Not after this poor service. read more

Oh, the chaos of this company continues. Yesterday, 1 day before I'm scheduled to pick up the new ottoman, I get a call offering free delivery of a replacement ottoman. Free delivery BUT it's going to take longer to get. Thanks but no thanks, I'll pick it up at this point. I just want my ottoman! Today, I take back the damaged ottoman and am looking forward to pick up my new ottoman and put this ordeal behind us. The distribution center DOESN'T HAVE MY OTTOMAN. I was told it would be ready to pick up January 17th. Because I was out of town, I told them I'd pick up January 22. So.....where is it?!?! Ordered Black Friday and still no ottoman. Ashley, get your shit together!!! Now I was told I'd be receiving a new ottoman via free delivery. I wonder how long it's going to take to actually get to my house. I purchased a sectional and a chaise from this Ashley location. The furniture looks exactly what I anticipated, but arrived several months late (I understand that covid had quite a bit to do with this so I don't hold this against Ashley but the communication throughout the process was terrible, they set up deliveries without confirming with me, said things were getting delivered when they weren't and would cancel times they estimated). The issue is that our Sales Representative (I believe Brian) told us we should get insurance for the furniture. I didn't want it but he insisted that it would cover everything we would need. I mentioned we had cats, kids and honestly the stuff may just pill or wear out and he said all were covered. I just put in a claim and all were rejected saying that none of those things were covered. Had I known I wouldn't have wasted the $299. If you buy from them understand that the furniture may look quality but it will fall apart quickly and the insurance that gives you piece of mind is simply them padding margin and wont do anything outside taking more money. ************************************************** Their response (which if you think about it includes pretty much everything outside a delivery problem which would have been covered anyway) Fabric Pilling - Per the terms and conditions of your protection plan failure or loosening of threads, pilling, or fraying of upholstery are excluded from coverage. The salesman (Anthony) was very helpful. There was no pressure at all to buy. Anthony ran the numbers 4 different ways to give me choices when it came to paying. He was also very upfront about any and all charges. Now on to my purchases. I purchased a sectional and a oversized recliner. Both of which are just what I was in the market for. I am super happy with my choices, my better half is even more happy than I am. The store at Whitestown is very clean and new. Their selection is huge. I visited the Ashley Furniture Store to look for a bed. I liked the quality of the furniture that I saw online and I wanted to actually touch the items and make sure the quality could be felt as well as seen. I called ahead and spoke with a salesperson and informed her of what I saw online and made sure that these items were on the floor, which they assured me they were. I was greeted by salesperson when I arrived and walked through the door and she was properly masked for safety. She took me directly to the furniture and answered all of my questions about the items. I purchased a king-sized poster bed set from the Whitestown location. The bed had built-in drawers underneath and and a canopy overhead. I also purchased two nightstands that matched the bed. Delivery time was set about five days out, which I agreed to. The furniture shipped as planned and the delivery driver called to let me know he was on the way. Two guys were on the truck and they immediately began to unload the truck upon arrival. They soon realized that there were several pieces missing and they could not assemble the bed. The delivery guys told me that someone else would deliver the remaining pieces and assemble the bed. Two weeks later another set of delivery guys arrived at my home. Again the same problem - not the correct pieces! I took time out of my busy schedule and drove back to the Whitestown location to speak with the store manager and he assured me that he would straighten everything out. He said the Pandemic had caused issues at the warehouse and this was the reason that the pieces had been missing twice. Two weeks later a third set of delivery drivers arrived at my home with all of the correct pieces and assembled the bed correctly. read more

We went shopping for new bedroom furniture in February. We had been looking for several months and finally agreed on something we found at Ashley's along with a new mattress. We were looking for everything to be delivered in April, so we had time to paint and have new carpet installed. That request wasn't an issue. A day after we bought the furniture we realized one of the pieces wasn't going to fit and found 3 of the items cheaper elsewhere. We went back to the store and they processed the return, price matched the other 3 items and made the adjustments. The delivery went well. They unpacked each item, had us look them over before bringing them inside the house and set it all up. We've had the furniture & mattress for about a month & half and we still love them. read more

I stopped in because of the TV advertisement stating buy a king mattress for the price of a twin. The employee told me that was for the Ashley brand and that they don't carry them. How can the Ashley Store not carry their own products? Why have the commercial? *** It wasn't that they couldn't get them! Your employees told me they don't carry them!!! What a scam! I received in response on yelp to contact them. I contacted them three weeks ago and did not receive a response. Ashley furniture in Whitestown has top notch personal service. Jeri the Assistant Manger is just a awesome person. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The price was great and the quality can't be beat. I will for sure be going back. It's nice in theses times of uncertainty to have someone be patient and thoughtful. They didn't try to sale me more than what I needed. read more

We came in about 30 minutes before the store closed and Daniel came up to us as soon as we came back. I appreciated him greeting us right off the bat and even when it was so close to closing. He was so nice and friendly and helpful and never seemed like he was trying to rush us out before closing. He was very helpful with us trying to purchase a coffee table and he was very down to earth. I can't say thank you enough. He even moved some coffee tables around to a couch that looked similar to ours so we could see what it would look like, I love the one we got and cannot wait to get it. read more

I think I liked the furniture I ordered but who knows when I will actually receive it. I wonder if I will remember what it looks like when it is delivered. I ordered several living room and dining room pieces and was told it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery. I understood - COVID is wreaking havoc. However, the communication around actual delivery is a joke. I have received multiple texts, emails, calls saying that my furniture would be delivered August 1, August 7, August 8 and now August 12th for some of it and October 21st for the rest. I even went into the store and they said that it was showing an August 8th delivery and that an ER (or something like that) was sent to make sure it was delivered on August 8th. On August 6th I called to see about the delivery on August 8th and now it isn't scheduled until August 12th. I am not sure when i will get it at this point because I get a different answer with every single person I talk to. I tried to call the Whitestown location and after being on hold for way too long it sounded like someone picked up and then hung up. I am so disappointed in the customer service around delivery. read more

Sales person is still great! The furniture however.... not so much. One recliner stitching came out and stuffing is falling out, the other recliner the arm fell off! The couch cushions look like they are 6 years old and the damn things wont stay on the couch! We had friends over and one got up with the cushion following behind them. Ashley is the worse furniture ever. Total junk! Our couch cushions won't stay on, the recliner arm is off.... the whole arm. And the other recliner the stitching came apart and the insides are falling out. We've tried multiple times to make it right with them. I've spent literally hours on hold. I need a new mattress and box spring. I explained that a box spring would need to be literally cut to go upstairs in my old farmhouse, thought perhaps an adjustable frame might be a better option. I was told by the salesman, "yes some frames would fit the narrow stairs". We proceeded to choose a frame and mattress. I was assured each step of the way "no problem with this one". My items were both in stock at the local warehouse. Guess what? When the delivery arrived 8 days later, no way was it going to fit up the stairs!! This was after the sales person had verified with his supervisor that he was correct on the item he was selling me! This was very poor service! When I include the multitude of other issues *delivery fee is four times what another local store charges and does not guarantee they will remove old mattress and box spring. * The acknowledgement paperwork is presented after the credit card has been approved, which then explains the "restocking fee" if I decide not to keep the product after the trial period. * Sale notices are posted around the store but the receipt does not indicate any discount has been given. When I asked I was told they "don't play games like the other guys", what they quoted was the best price I could find anywhere. Not really an answer to my question, I still do not know if I received a "sale" price. When they found they had no adjustable frame that would go up my staircase, they very kindly immediately started the refund process, telling me it would be approximately 10 business day, usually no more than that. Purchased a Tempurpedic Mattress from Ashley HomeStore at the end of July. Jeri was very attentive. There was some difficulty with their computer system and setting up the delivery, but it was figured out and settled. Took some additional time and phone calls on our part but that was ok. We paid $169.99 to have the mattress delivered. They promise in writing "White Glove Delivery Service". The truck arrived and it was a large box truck that backed down the drive and parked on our cement driveway. The driver then took a towel and wiped off the large back area of the truck until there was a pile of dirt in my drive that was my responsibility to clean up. The other person was inside the truck and pushed the mattress to the edge and then over the edge as it tumbled to the ground; it was a large truck and fairly far off the ground. It was wrapped in plastic fortunately. I held the door while they brought it into the house and through a couple of rooms to the bedroom, not stopping to cover their shoes with disposable booties like most service people do. They removed the plastic and placed it on the bed. I asked them to take the old mattress as we were told they would - the old mattress was very clean with no stains. They said it has to be wrapped in plastic for them to take it. I asked if I could use the plastic they just removed because it was the same size mattress. They said no and left. Fortunately I grabbed the warranty card out of the plastic before the took it. I went online to register the mattress and discovered that I could have purchased it directly from Tempurpedic for the same price and FREE delivery. I communicated all of this to Jeri who said she talked with her manager and gave me a phone number to call and said they will make it right. I called the next day. The person I talked with actually told me she didn't see anything wrong with the delivery and we have the mattress so it's fine. She never even asked my name. I relayed all of this to Jeri, and never received a response back. 5 days later, I contacted her again and asked if it was going to be addressed. Another 3 days and nothing. So, if you want to buy a Tempurpedic, just go there and try them out and decide which one you want and then buy it online. I would be cautious about buying anything there that has to be delivered. read more
